Attractive gift shop with nice items. Went for wedding party gifts, even saw possible gifts. The older woman with short hair and wearing a red sweater, behind the counter was having a mean conversation with another woman that looked like a customer. The conversation had VERY biased statements about people that had moved into HER neighborhood. I walked through the entire shop stopping to seriously look at items, back tracking and crossing them 4 times.. I was not even greeted or any offer of help, I was there at least 10 mins. I left and went into a couple of the other shops to see if they had any options. When asked what I was looking for, wedding party gifts, Both of the other stores said there was a gift shop in the same plaza. I told them how the woman acted in Reunions and in both shops the people laughed and was told that is not an uncommon opinion heard from other people and have also been treated poorly there!!!! It was so unexpected I found it funny!!! I am a big man and was wearing a pink Oxford shirt. Maybe I didn't come appear worthy to shop there. read more

This is my go to for gifts and candles. Naturally I wanted to pop in to buy a gift for small business Saturday. I go because I know they also put your gifts in a cute bag and tie pretty ribbons on it. I didn't have time to wrap it myself so that's another reason for stopping in. The lady that checked me out was awesome, her colleague (older, very short brown hair) snipped at me that they were busy when I asked for the bag and ribbon. I'm glad they're busy but there is no reason to snap at a customer who is asking for something that is the norm there. read more

I shopped there today. My mother has always loved their shop and so have I. I think they have good Covid practices and the store has quality items. However I have been surprised with their lack of customer service and overall rudeness. At first I thought I must have done something but, after observing the staff's behavior towards other customers in the store and on the phone, I now realize this is a broader issue. The staff in general seems to be taking cues from their owner who is very snippy, cold and unfriendly. What a shame for what could be such a lovely store. read more

Such a cute shop! I had originally always walked by it when I was in the fairlington shopping center - but when I stopped in was pleasantly surprised. They have tons of adorable items. I wasn't sure what to expect as a mid-twenties shopper but they certainly have become one of my favorite local stops. Among the treasures are jewelry, cute cards, antiques, dishes and gourmet cookies and nuts. My fave item is the Thymes collection. The staff is very friendly and always welcoming!! read more

Wow, what a find Reunions is! I was amazed at the variety of merchandise they had. The store is so colorful and inviting; it is easy to lose yourself there. They have wonderful antiques, from furniture to glassware. I found a precious miniature Spode tea cup and saucer. Then there is the jewelry from retro replicas to modern funky, all such fun! I found candles, tableware, trays, handbags, paintings, baby gifts, books and so much more. Reunions is a great place to go when you need a gift for someone. They always have new items, and not the run of the mill items you see in every store in the mall. If you can't decide or need a suggestion the staff is more than willing to help. Wow if I could I'd give this place negative stars, I would. I have never been treated so rudely in a store in my life. If you are looking for someplace to elevate your blood pressure then you'll be in the right place. I was in there to buy a piece of furniture my wife really liked for $450 dollars. The first employee was pleasant. We told her we'd take it but would like to look around some more. I made the mistake of asking if there was anyone who could help me load it in my truck. We continued to shop and as I place 3 more items on the counter to purchase another employee, I'll call her Sybil, came up to me without so much as a hello or customary greeting and started reading me the riot act as to how no one was going to help me move the table. "You should have brought someone to help you MOVE IT!" Ok, so do you deliver? "NO WE DON' T deliver! " All with this nasty tone of voice and gestures that suggested she was doing me this incredible favor by selling me this table. It was bizarre to say the least. I wanted to say who the @$&? are you and who the @#*% do you think you are talking to me like that. Instead I walked out of the store. My wife remained to tell her how rude she was...I wish I had it on video. I post it on "Store Clerks Gone Wild". Don't waste your time in this place. Everything they sell can be purchased somewhere else at a lower price with a much more pleasant customer experience. read more

This is a lovely shop with unique items and gift ideas. This is why I was happy to offer them some of my belongings to sell on consignment. A small desk of mine had been there for a year. Each time I visited the shop, it was tucked away in a corner. I phoned and expressed my interest in taking it back and off consignment. At that point it was blocked in a corner by a china cabinet and although I was told to come by and pick it up, I had to return days later when they had moved the cabinet. They had lost the key to the desk, and it had a new dent in the wood. I waited until the shop was empty of customers before I told the owner and the two employees behind the desk that i was here for my desk. They said "go ahead, take it"- and not one them of them offered to help me carry it out to my car, or even hold the door open for me, unlike when bringing items in. So again, lovely shop. And lovely to work with as long as they are selling your items. Not so, when you want them back. read more

I visited this shop on October 17, 2019 and experienced the worst customer service ever. I had bought candles there before and went back to buy more. I walked in and announced what I wanted and headed straight to the bin to retrieve them. The sales lady followed me closely and watched as I picked up the candles. I turned around to look at other items and she was on my heels every step. Therefore, I asked her to place the candles at the register. She did so and returned to follow me around. I turned around to be sure that I was not imagining her eagle eyes. To confirm that I was her point of interest, I looked at the only other customer who was Caucasian. She was browsing casually with no peering eyes over her shoulder. I made the mistake of buying the candles and quickly left. I am a person of color and could not believe what happened. The sales lady was Caucasian also. I will never visit this shop again. I wanted to post this notice to warn others. read more

Cute shop with unique home decor and gift ideas. I have been in three times since I moved to the area and have found the staff to be quite rude. They close at 6 pm and will start locking you in a few minutes before 6. I have never been greeted or spoken to when I am in the store and it is usually empty. I get the feeling they don't want me in there. The merchandise is cute but a bit on the pricey side. There are better home/gift stores I have found close by where the staff are happy to see you. read more

Tucked away in nondescript Fairlington shopping center, this gem continually surprises and delights. Where do they find all this stuff? Some antiques, trendy belts and bags, artsy jewelry, cards and candles...you get the picture. I can always find a unique baby present, hostess or birthday gift. This is my "go to" store for hostess gifts or something special for me. Unique and lovely things are always available. I find the staff "reserved" and not overly friendly. They certainly don't follow you around but they are available if you have a question. When I go, I spend a lot of time going around and around the store so I get to see all the items tucked here and there in the store. There are baby gifts, items for your home, tasty Virginia made products, purses, scarves, furniture - consigned and new - beautiful lamps - pictures - crafts - puzzles- antiques - glassware - just everything. The store is very, very packed with items so never come with a stroller! They have specials through Living Social often so I always take advantage of those. Just a lovely place to shop. I call Reunions my happy place, because just entering the store is like going to a spa! As soon as you walk in the door, there is soothing music playing - usually jazzy - and you no longer feel the weight of the world on your shoulders. The place is packed with treasures, but in a good, well-curated way. There are scented candles and lotions,all manner of classy and funky accessories for you and your home, a children's section, animal section, new and vintage jewelry, consignment antique furniture, china, crystal, leather goods...really, just anything you could possibly want for a house-warming, hostess, birthday or holiday gift (for women AND men)! I usually have to do 2 or 3 pass throughs around the store each time I go in because Barbara (the brilliant owner) aways has new stuff stocked, and the staff shifts things around regularly to keep the place always feeling fresh. I can't say enough great things about this store, the staff is always very friendly in my experience, many have been there for years and always greet me warmly. They have regular 20% off sales too, and a 50% off shelf where I have picked up some adorable items for a song. Their merchandise is quality stuff, unique and will not break the bank. It's not Home Goods or Target, but then again, don't we all have enough stuff from there anyway? Love this store! Very cute. Originally thought it was for an older customer base but the items they carry are for everyone. (I'm 26 and never fail to find LOTS of things - be it books, furniture, gifts or jewelry - to buy.) I love their jewelry and scarves and have started getting my friends engagement and housewarming gifts here. They have also special ordered items for me that they didn't have in at the time.
