On line order experience I had placed an online order for pick up at this location. I received a notification it arrived earlier than I expected. I was not going to be in town for another week! I called the customer service number and they were gracious to extend the pick up. I went to the store when I was in town, waited in line and they took care of me rather quickly. Tried to return an online purchase in store and they wouldn't take it. They require you to pay $7 to mail online returns back. The Tysons store manager told me the $7 fee is refunded if the returned items are accepted. This is not true, they keep the $7. Will not be shopping here again. read more

We are fans of Uniqlo brand since they were online only and we still like the clothing items from here. The prices are very affordable for their clothes and quality is quite decent too. Well worth the money :) Their customer service is good too and it's easy to get help in the store. The checkout process can take time but that is because the line is always busy. The clothes are mostly fine. Nothing is too horrible, nor too great, but you can find some decent values if you search around. My issue is the return policy, especially during COVID, doesn't make any sense. When you talk with them in person or on chat, they are not clear about which stores you can return things to. You are apparently able to mail items to any store for a return, but you can't physically bring it to any store for a return. If the system is in place to accept a return by mail at any store, why can't they do it in person? Similar stores like H&M, Jcrew, and others all let you return to any store in the U.S., but I can't return to a store 20 minutes away from another one if it's nearer to my work? I'm sorry, but when every online retailer and every other normal brick and mortar store makes it easy for a customer and Uniqlo chooses to make things difficult, it's just not worth dealing with them and you're better off elsewhere. read more

On Monday, 10/10/22, the guy that helped pack my clothes in the bags forgot an item (wireless bra). I went home and cannot find it but was charge for it on the receipt. Went back to the store to tell them on 10/11/22. I could not prove that I never received the item before I took it home because he packed it. (I should have check instead of trusting them). I asked them to check their cameras. There were a couple cameras where I was standing. They said they will send email to their department to check their camera and I should get an email follow up the next day. Next day - no email. a few days later - no email, no calls. I called the customer service number today for a status and they said they will email the store and get the correct department to help and I should wait another 24-48 hours for a response (same thing as what the first manager told me). Today I will be returning $350 worth of merchandise (from the shopping trip on 10/10/22) because I do not want to do business with a company with such bad customer services. They don't know how to run a store. I'm sure the camera recording is also fake to deter thieves. Why else wouldn't they look at the camera recording the day before to check if the guy packed the item or not, if they were really recording everything? THET DO NOT ACCEPT ANY RETURN FROM ONLINE ORDERS. Plus You have to pay $7 for return by mail. Inconvenience store ever. Worst return policy!! Many things to do to return. First off, you have to submit online and find a box to put your return inside the package. Secondly, print the label for return. You have to put the paper in side the box if not they won't accept and you lose money for nothing. Third, you have to find FedEx link or UPS link and fill out information in order to get the return label from them too and an agreement that you will pay $7 for retuning. All this information, I have to search them by myself after I talked to a staff and got nothing. I wen to the store in person and they said we do not accept any online return only an exchange. Fine, I was there already. Looking for something to exchange. Going to a register again, ok I would like to exchange. He said ONLY SAME DESIGN that we accept. I had the most aggravating and humiliating experience as a customer here. I bought a pair of shorts that turned out to be defective, and I was denied a return even with the receipt and tag one week later, just because the tag was taken off. The manager told me it wasn't "in original selling condition" even though that "original selling condition" involved a totally unthreaded left leg seam that came undone as soon as I tried putting the shorts on. Now the left leg just hangs an inch lower than the right and it's unwearable. The manager there told me there's absolutely nothing he can do and he would get in trouble if he took the return. And he even tried to blame me for not coming back sooner, even though it was literally one weekend later, the fastest a working adult can reasonably go back to the mall for a return. Really disappointing and it was pretty humiliating because I didn't want to cause a scene, so I felt like I was powerless and couldn't fight back even though I was sold a defective product. Maybe I shouldn't have taken the tga off, but I took it off because it looked fine, the defect was hidden on the inside seam and folded up so I couldn't see it, and I've never had such a bad issue with uniqlo before. And I'd never imagine being denied a legitimate defective return for such a trivial reason. It's like uniqlo punishes you for being honest. I could easily glue the seam back and thread the tag back on and they'd take it, but then another customer would get stuck with broken shorts. Really disappointed and I guess I'll have to dispute the charge on my card instead of just getting a return. All this trouble just for a cheap pair of shorts. read more

Uniqlo is one of my favorite shops. I've been to several locations domestically and internationally and this one holds up just fine. The store is clean and organized fairly well. They are stocked with popular sizes as well. I've been here many times and they always seem to carry my size even of clearance and sale items. The one negative would be the lines here. The line for the fitting rooms can get really long. The same for buying items. They would be served well by having more employees at checkout. All in all this is a good location. read more

Over charged for (2) Medium kaws plush and (3) small kaws plush when I only purchased 2 of each. Then when I went back to store to confront she said no refund because they have no proof that I didn't purchase the extra plush. The day of the release they gave out 2 tickets of each, all together 4. She denies tickets were handed out and that refund cannot be made. Same incident happened when I placed an order and tried to pick up at store. They lose my order and took 4 months of calling Uniqlo corporate to get refund. To be fair, I was offered 10% off on purchase for the 4 months long inconvenience. The store manager here, Gina Bochis (found it from the email I've sent) I believe is her name would not return emails regarding my missing item and so I had to fight with corporate on the phone to get refund. I love Uniqlo as a brand but the manager here is incompetent and the employee (the one that called me a liar) is even worse. TL:DR check your receipts as soon as you purchase because they will overcharge you then tell you that you're lying. read more

Uniqlo is one of my favorite stores! Reasonably priced for fairly high quality denim etc. Pants over $20 will be tailored/hemmed for free to your length! Sometimes the sales are very reasonable as well, but then you have to pay for your hem (who cares? the pants were $10!) I like this one in Tysons because I feel like they have a larger selection and indeed are a larger store/more spaced out than the one in DC. I've never had an issue here. read more

I struggled a great deal not giving this location a one star review but there were at least a couple of items that were positive I wanted to note at least. The store is nice, well maintained and had a fair selection. I also had no issues with customer service. Now on to the bad. I bought a shirt there that, believe it or not, actually melted on my skin and give me a mild burn. It was from their Airism design line. I do understand this store sells low cost "buy and toss clothing" similar to store such as H &M. However I have purchased other synthetic workout types of shirts from other stores, but I have never had anything where by just waving a hair dryer past the fabric from over 2 inches away the fabric literally melted. In my opinion, the clothes are highly flammable and I am truly shocked that somehow this passed the company's quality control as well as import and trade customs inspections. I brought the shirt back to the store for a return, which wasn't very much money, however it was more important to bring attention to their corporate office that they are possibly selling highly dangerous clothing. The manager apologized and promised to bring this up with his regional manager and corporate office to look into the issue and I do appreciate that. I also understand the store manager has very little he can do in situations such as this other than bringing it to other peoples attention. I will also contact the corporate office myself. The downside to this experience is I have completely lost all trust for this company and will probably never shop there again. I suppose I could have taken this issue further, but I feel it's more important to just get rid of dangerous clothing, warn others and be careful about what you purchase. read more

On one hand, I want to give 5 stars just because I'm so excited that we finally, finally have a Uniqlo to call our own in Washington, D.C. In the past, I had to either shop online or visit their stores in Philly and in NYC. The fact that there's one just minutes from my house thrills me to pieces. I went on opening weekend, so there were some promotional deals going on. I was able to snag a lot of items, including two flannel shirts, wool pants, a blouse, a 2-way scarf/shawl, socks, and stockings. Since it was the grand opening weekend, they were giving out tote bags for purchases over $100 and heat tech items for purchases over $50. With all my purchases (with come to almost $150), I got a tote bag and two heat tech shirts. I'm a huge Uniqlo fan. They have high-quality basics for very reasonable prices. I can always find items here that I want to hear professionally and outside of work that don't break the bank. The downside to this Uniqlo is that it's much smaller than their typical flagship stores and that it doesn't have any of the collaboration collections. But for general basics, this Uniqlo has most of the key necessities. read more

Uniqlo has finally arrived to VA! This Japanese casual clothing store offers a variety of outerwear, blazers, sweatshirts, t-shirts, dresses, blouses, socks, jeans, and even stuff for the kids and the babies. I used to stop by ocassionally when I was living in NY, so it was pretty cool to see one opening up in NoVA. The hubs and I were able to check them out on this past weekend, as their grand opening was on Friday (the lines were a little redonkulous)! In addition to the fact that they were having all these sales for their opening, they were also having their 10th anniversary sale. I purchased some sweatpants, because one, they're super comfy, and two, I love the fact that they have the cuffs at the bottom where it doesn't taper off/no need for alterations! The store is smaller than the usual Uniqlos, so keep that in mind. Keep an eye on collaborations, as the store does some throughout the year. After getting hooked at a Uniqlo pop-up store in Boston, I was insanely excited for this one to open. I can't tell you how great it is to have a Uniqlo down the street. It's so great for basics and for warm winter clothes. I have two of their packable down coats and they've solved so many problems for me. (For example: going to a concert and having nowhere to put your coat. Just shove it in the little bag.) This particular Uniqlo is sometimes disorganized and not well stocked, though. I wanted their Airism leggings and they didn't have a single size small. And every man for himself in those sale sections! Finally, the return policy is whack. I wore their (not Airism) leggings for about ten minutes before I realized they wouldn't work with the dog I own (they attract fur to an insane degree) but I wasn't allowed to return them. Leggings are not the same as underwear. There are other stores where you can return them. Anyway, this store sells great, cute clothes for a low price (including baby clothes!) but the customer service isn't the best. read more

Finally Uniqlo opened in the D.C. area! We have been waiting for years... Uniqlo is the spot to get small socks for wearing with flats, comfy underwear, the super warm and fold-up down jacket, sweatshirts that look like a suit jackets, droopy bat style shirts good for travel, and so much more!!! Prices are very reasonable. I don't think the heat tech really works that well. I've tried it a lot and didn't feel warmer. The fold-up down jacket is magical though and so warm. read more

I have loved going to the Uniqlo ever since I discovered stores all over Asia and went to the SOHO store in NYC. I was so excited to hear that Uniqlo Tysons was opening. However the service has gotten worse in store ever since I went to the grand opening. Tonight I went there around 9:30pm just to get a pair of green blocktech chino pants hemmed as I went to the D.C. location earlier in the week and was told to go to Tysons. The store was not busy so I went to the fitting room to be greeted by a lady that kept asking me if I paid for the pants that I wanted altered. I told her three times in three different ways that I had paid for them and told her I bought them online. Perhaps she didn't believe me as she kept asking me. Yes, I could have stole them in store and ripped out all of the tags and rolled up the hems the way I like them. When I asked if I could exchange one of three short sleeve v neck t shirt that I had bought online with a manufactured defective tear, I was told that I had worn it and it was not returnable. Keep in mind that I have two other t shirts in two different colors that has no problems and three long sleeve v necks that I have not returned even though it is too large. I will own up to my own mistakes when shopping online and even in store which I try to avoid these days. However i do not expect to be treated as someone that can't afford your clothes or even worse someone that has stolen something from your store. I have AIRism, HEATTECH and now BLOCKTECH along with dress shirts, jackets, socks, tennis shorts, shirts etc just to name everything off the top of my head. If you trust your loyal customers you would not have to ask me so many times whether I have purchased something. Perhaps you could have offered to find my online receipt instead of making me look up my credit card statement so I can provide a receipt. I would have rather continued to shop rather than waste my time talking to a lady working the fitting room that had no respect for me as a customer. Fortunately another lady intervened (I assume the manager) and kindly offered to pin my pants and even offered to ask the lady that would hem the pants to come out. I really appreciate the offer as I have always loved the Japanese culture of anticipating customer's needs. Regardless, I felt insulted and embarrassed that I decided to buy another pair of black blocktech chino pants just to prove that I didn't steal anything from your store even though I will be in NYC this weekend where the Uniqlo SOHO has better customer service, faster turnaround on hemming and more product selections. I was told by the manager (I assume) not to provide feedback. I was torn whether I wanted to provide any feedback however I am writing this review because I care about the brand and hope that I can get better service in store versus shopping online as now I heard you can get custom shirts as I can use the same measurements from my tailor and get a better fitting dress shirt :) I hope when I come back next week night to pick up my two pair of pants from alteration I can just pick them up without any hassle, embarrassment or insults. read more

I came here yesterday with my boyfriend who was in search of pants. I was not planning on coming back to Uniqlo because my past experiences here have been disappointing. Needless to say, my expectations for customer service were extremely low. I was pleasantly surprised at the relatively kind customer service we received here. No snide comments, no disdainful looks... nothing. Some employees were surprisingly kind, others weren't but at least no one was flat out rude. They also started including UT (graphic Ts) collections for women. This was a pleasant surprise, because for whatever reason, they used to only carry graphic t-shirts for men. Nice clothes. Customer service sucks on price adjustment. Went in there yesterday and saw a coat I purchased a few weeks ago now on sale. I had bought spending like $500 in total with other stuff. I asked for a price adjustment. The guy got the manager. She seemed too serious. He explained to her two times that I bought the coat in this store. It is on my app with other purchases. She said they stop doing price adjustments. Ask if I had my receipt and the tags? I am a shopper! I keep everything! Yet she can see it on my app! She said the only way to do a price adjustment is for me to go home, waste gas, lug it back into the store, return it and buy it again! I was wondering if she was challenged! What sense would that make... all the purchase details are on YOUR app! I should return everything! ALL! No more purchases at this store. To be quite honest... this store is NOT for real shoppers! I was super excited when I heard there was one opening here in Northern Virginia since my best friend introduced me to Uniqlo for the first time in NYC (I've visited the other stores in Chicago & Philly as well). Customer service is bad here. While shopping no one offers any help at all and at the registers they seem lost and confused ....no please, no thank you, no yes sir, no yes ma'am. Also, I came by here on Tuesday (specifically 8/8) and they're closed for inventory????? ....who closes on a Tuesday well into the month and does inventory? You'ld think the mall would have a policy for the stores to stay open during posted business hours. Do your inventory after/before you close or Sunday evening after you close not on a non holiday Tuesday where people will have the normal expectation that you'll be open. I purchased a pair of Legging pants the first week the store opened. I had heard of the company but never shopped there before and since I work in the mall, I figured I would check it out. I took the pants home, tried them on and since they fit, I popped the tags and washed them (according to care instructions, btw). The second time I wore the pants, there was hole in them on the inner thigh. I didn't notice until I was already at work. The next day, I took a walk over and after dealing with 2 VERY polite, although not very well-informed, associates, I met the manager. I wanted to know what the return policy was, since the pants were new and I was taking care of them. The manager came out from the back with the most smug look on her face. I explain the issue to her and she said well since you don't have the receipt we can't take it back. I told her I will bring the receipt. she said since the tags are off, there is nothing she can do about it. She also mentioned that she never got a complaint about the Legging Pant and if there was a defect the company would announce it and since they didn't its just me. Oh, ok. A policy is a policy. I work in retail so I understand. The reason I'm writing the review was because the manager was very unfriendly and condescending. There wasn't any sympathy or empathy and I walked away feeling upset. It's crazy because the sales associates were more accommodating than the manager was. She left a bad taste in my mouth and it's unfortunate, because I will never shop there again and I would not recommend the Tyson's Corner location to my friends, family or my clients. I work in the mall and send clients to other locations (even competitors) every day, just so they can get the best product or deal, if I don't have what they need. Customer service is lacking. Guy named Malcolm, first question at checkout was cash or check, then told us to use self checkout next visit. He didn't even ask if we found everything or any other Customer service type question. Then...we saw an add for downloading the app to get $10 off. Nowhere did we see we had to spend a specific amount, and Malcome just sat there and stared us go through the whole process of installing the app. Only AFTER we completed the installation did he say we needed to spend $10 more to get the discount. Who rings a customer up, waits for app installing, then tells the customer to go back to shopping? Other Uniqlo stores have much better service. read more

Uniqlo in the DMV is awesome! This location is right in Tysons Corner Center , on the upper floor kinda close to B&N. This location is a bit cramped, especially since I'm used to the large flagship store in NY, and the selection isn't as extensive - specifically I didn't see any of the recent collabs Uniqlo has done with Disney and various MoMA artists, but it's got the basics. Bright and well organized, men's selection on the left and women's on the right, with children's items sorta in the middle, near the cash registers in the back. The fitting rooms are right next to the cash registers. If you're looking for basic/practical but stylish clothing, Uniqlo is the way to go! The brand as a whole focuses on quality and simplicity - solid color clothing made with good quality fabric and craftsmanship. I'm especially a fan of their jeans, and any loungewear/underwear they have in stock. Another super popular item is their bubble jackets/vests! I'm not a huge fan of the look, but they're known for being compact but still great for cold, winter weather. I'll probably come here to try on stuff if something piques my interest online, but I'd be inclined to wait for online sales since they come pretty often if I decide to actually purchase something. :) read more

TL;DR A small Uniqlo that doesn't have all the sizes, but if you need a quick clothing grab, go for it. Uniqlo is known for the wide variety of colors for each piece of clothing and because of that, they have a massive size requirement. While I was extremely happy that Uniqlo made it not only to the DC Metro Area, and not only in my backyard in Tysons Corner Mall, it was a little disappointing walking in. The Uniqlo nostalgia is present, but the size is not. Having only one floor (two store-fronts, though), is clearly not enough for a place like Uniqlo. The lines are aplenty right now. We arrived on the Sunday a week after the grand opening weekend, and half an hour after opening, the line was already growing to at least 20 people deep. Should probably wait until the fervor dies down, at least for now. Due to the size limitations, the selection is not as vast as you would expect. It is missing a number of items in all of the categories of clothing. So while you can grab a piece of Uniqlo clothing if you're in dire need, you might be better off shopping online and using this as a return location instead. read more

wow... the other reviews on here are truthfully brutal. I'm just happy to have a uniqlo nearby since I'm a big fan of this brand from my travels in japan and hong kong. I'm hopeful they'll eventually expand this location to mutliple floors. In the meantime, I supplement this location with the really good sales and sizing available on their website. We really cleaned up with the recent black friday sale and free shipping. just like everyone else I have a couple of gripes tho ...there were some basic items I wanted like heattech tights and some items on clearance that I checked online to see if they were in stock at the tyson store before I went there since they are an hour away; the website said they were not avail at the tysons store. I go yesterday and they did have those items. Lucky me I guess.... My major gripe tho is that free instore pickup is not available yet at the Tysons Store. I emailed customer service about it and they said they didnt know if it was ever going to be available and that the marketing people determine that and keep them in the dark about it. Wouldnt instore pickup be a no brainer for this location since it's smaller and has limited qualities? If instore pickup was available, my rating would go up a star. read more

Yeah this Uniqlo is smaller than the ones I've visited before but I'm still happy we finally have it here! I visited on a random Wednesday so Tysons wasn't unbearably crowded like it usually is. I'm a super big fan of Uniqlo's high quality basics that are a great price compared to paying an arm and a leg for American Apparel or getting something that will fall apart in seconds from H&M. I wore their Airism tanks all summer long and felt like I was wearing nothing. I just stocked up on their new "Heat tech" line for this upcoming winter. So stoked to have a uniqlo near my parents so I don't have to 1. wait until I go to the NYC stores or 2. rely on ordering online (and making returns when the fit isn't just /so/). Despite being the only other uniqlo on the east coast, it's definitely noticeable that this doesn't boast uniqlo's full collection, especially some of their more interesting collaborations. However, they do have the seasonal stuff and a decent sale area, so it's really great for getting into the basics of uniqlo. Since it's new, it's still having some growing pains. The first time I went, I went in the evening and it was hot, crowded, and a huge pain to wait in the lines and to get help if you were looking for something in particular. I came in early today, however, and it was noticeably more calm and friendly - huge shoutout to the girls in the fitting room who helped with recommendations and fetching new sizes (and helping out with the free alterations on pants!!) I won't lie: I freaking love uniqlo. I'll definitely be back, especially to snag some of my favorite shirts once they come back into season. This location is a good taster for the brand (more like a boutique, I guess) which I honestly think is more important than having the full collection. The downside this store is dreadfully small and to top it off several rows of merchandise was covered in plastic with fans running making it inaccessible.
