My second stop, was to the Gap clothing store. I have been on a mission to find a winter coat for my granddaughter. She is very, very picky. In fact, she turned down 2 coats I brought home for her. I loved this store. The beautiful selection of both adult and children's clothing was amazing. The only con, was that the children's section was down a long flight of steps. Since, we were navigating a baby and toddler, this was a bit of a challenge. But, there was a great selection and guess what? We found a Minnie Mouse, warm winter coat, in her size and she loved it. Even better, it was 50 percent off and since I am a Gap member, I got more points for my purchase. That was a great save! There were salespeople available. A salesman was so personable when we were checking out. We really appreciated his help. So, mission accomplished! My granddaughter was wearing her new coat out with her dad for a morning walk. I haven't been in the GAP in years. I popped in today to return slacks ordered online which didn't fit. I'm lucky that Carolyn was at the register. She was knowledgeable and answered my sizing question and I was able to find the correct size in the store and purchase the latest "faux leather" straight leg pants that fit, that I have been searching for. Thank you Carolyn. Another "WIN" is that David was at the register today. Some items had lost their tags -- I stayed and shopped after making my return -- and he was unflappable as he keyed in the codes to locate items. Thank you, David! If you haven't been to The GAP in a while, go. They have a fantastic sale now. I'm 5'2'", 110 lbs, usually a size 27/4 and I found many items that fit well, to include jeans, which is usually hard for me. Thank you again Carolyn and David. I decided to stop in after not really shopping at the Gap for close to 7 years, not that they made me mad or something but I felt like the styles for a while and the quality weren't what they used to be in the yesteryears heyday of my middle and high school existence where the majority of my wardrobe came from the gap and many pieces carried with me into my early 20's. The place has changed at least at this location where it looks like more of the clothing is much more of a casual vibe and finding some dressier pieces seemed to be like finding a needle in a haystack. Although there were quite a few people in the store browsing, there wasn't a lot of staff around so thankfully I went in looking for a pair of jeans and was easily and quickly able to find what I needed. Check out for a dreary Saturday afternoon went rather quickly as there was only one person ahead of me and they had two people working the checkout counter. So as far as Gap goes the verdict is still out, and my opinion will largely be swayed on how well my jeans hold up. read more

For starters, I love gap as a company. Though they may be a little pricey, they have great quality, good looking items. Even their basics have a little something special about them. I've had a lot of success at this particular gap location. They have great sales (currently 50% off the whole store) and their clearance section is generally pretty on point. The staff is always friendly and is incredibly hard working. This place is utter mayhem around the holidays. Every time I've gone in, even when it is super packed, someone has always offered to help me and the staff is always hard at work folding and restocking. I recently returned a tag-less item because it had a huge rip which I hadn't noticed prior to purchase. They asked no questions and without hassle refunded my card. read more

I pointed out to a woman on the staff who greeted me while I was looking for jeans that only about half of the jeans had size tapes visible, so in order to find my size I'd had to move an entire pile at a time to a surface where I could search through the waistbands one at a time to see all the sizes. Her reply was something about how they have tapered sizes too. No, no, I said, and explained again the slipshod manner in which sizes were marked on the clothes. She smiled and exclaimed that it would be tough to find something in my size. (I'm tall. But it was silly because I *had* found a couple of pairs in sizes I was going to try, and was holding them with one arm.) Her responses had no relationship to what I was telling her. I found the manager and (a) gave him my criticism of the unhelpful inconsistency in the size labeling and (b) shared my frustration with the exchange I'd just had with the staff member. He nodded and then asked if I was looking to try on the jeans I was carrying. I felt as though he hadn't appreciated that he'd just received complaints from a customer and I asked whether he got that I'd been finding shopping there inconvenient. His response: "Yes, I got it." No indication of concern over or interest in the state of affairs in his store or the lack of satisfaction of a customer. Cutting to the chase: I told him I had lost interest in doing business with his store, dumped the jeans on the counter, and walked out. read more

I love the Gap and have for many years. I loved Gap so much when I was pregnant 95% of my maternity clothes came from the gap (online and Fair Oaks have maternity sections). I also loved Baby Gap and am now geting into Gap Kids with my little ones, and as always great quality. Anyway, today I was shopping for me! Got some super cute maxi dresses, skirts and tank tops! Some of the sizes in certain lines were pretty picked over. This store has decent organization. I felt clothing lines were grouped much better than Dulles. This store stays super busy! read more

This is a great location! I typically don't shop at Gap too often, however this one had a pretty wide selection of clothing to choose from making it a pleasant experience. In terms of the workers, they range from extremely friendly and helpful to monotone and bland - to the point of seeming rude. Nonetheless, the experience wasn't bad in the slightest and I was able to get a few great deals on clothing. Like any clothing store, you really need to find the right time to catch the best deals. Definitely a fan - will come back when I have money to spend. read more

I should start this review by being honest I am not a GAP person. Thru out the years I've wondered, how are you still around? and one day I wandered in with my bag of champagne jelly beans thanks to the candy store next door. I live for a good a workout legging and their workout clothes seemed cute and well made. Then boom! Sale! Sale! signs everywhere. The staff was so helpful and helped me order my size over the phone since I am that person that can never actually find my size in the store. As for the pants they've held up beautifully, make my butt look great and they feel amazing on. I wandered in today and pretty much the same story and once again sales associate was a sweetheart! The Gap is killing it with their compression workout leggings and the staff makes it so easy to keep coming back. read more
