This is comical,to be honest... I came to the store,was on the hurry and looked for gift to my friend's birthday. I was very particular,I needed small size perfume. After waiting 5-7 minutes at the entrance to empty store I was greeted by sales,who asked what brings me in. I told I need to try and choose perfume for lady in her fifties. We came to cosmetic part and she didn't know anything,literally anything,about perfumes. She explained that cosmetics sales person is off. We recently stopped by the Chanel Boutique for some major retail therapy. The store is currently at a temporary location in the mall. The store did have a line of 2 groups before we could get in. I do find the process of lining up outside the store a bit annoying and I am seeing more and more stores using this to show popularity or manage shoppers. We did have a good experience once we were finally allowed in the store. The sales consultants (trying to be fancy for a uber-fancy store) were very helpful and took time to show us the products and answer all the questions we had. We had a good shopping experience (I'm sure my wallet is not so happy) and do plan on coming back soon. read more

Still my top pick for my Chanel fix. Surprisingly this year during the pandemic when compared to the Fashion Capital of the world "AKA" New York this location received more items for Chanel Spring/Summer. I was able to find items that my friends couldn't locate in NY, LA, Vegas or Miami. As you can see in the attached pictures, I went crazy this year with shopping items. All of the SA's here are great. I've been shopping at this location for 7 years. With the pandemic, you cannot just walk in and must wait outside in a queue. *I would highly suggest scheduling an appointment with an SA, so you don't have to wait. read more

I've been a Chanel customer for over 20 years and was a frequent flyer at the Short Hills mall in NJ. Now that I've moved to the DMV area, I gave my usual stores a run to see what they had to offer. Well, there wasnt much. The sales associates are a lot snootier here, but that doesn't bother me. I ended up purchasing a yellow boy bag on my first run. I went back to see some new bags and I must say, this store has the most disappointing amount of inventory. Since this boutique is still the closest to me, I'll be going back, but reluctantly so. My girlfriend decided to purchase a "quality item"from Chanel and 5 months later experienced a break down in the product (see pictures). The single card holders were tearing and there was only one card in each slot. We immediately thought that they (Chanel) would resolve so we went back to the store (Chanel Tysons Galleria). When we returned to the store, we waited 45 minutes for an employee to tell us that they had to wait for quality control staff to assess the item. The employee stated they would find a way to resolve as the product was under a two year warranty and we left feeling good that they would rectify. Several days later, they called and stated "the product would not be repaired or replaced and that this was "basic wear and tear" and would not be covered under the 2 year warranty. Again surprising and disappointing as I thought more of Chanel and the item was just shy of 1k. I was surprised to receive the feedback from Chanel as I was under the impression that they had quality items and based on cost just assumed they would do a better job of trying to retain a customer (never assume). I will certainly not be shopping at Chanel, in addition this has left a sour taste in my girlfriends mouth as this was a gift to herself that she normally does not do. I have been their customer for number of years, with different SA, they are great customer service. Finally, ended up with my FAV lady, Viola. She always take a good care of me and all customers, she is willing to help you find things that you want or even order from else where to meet your need. I'm not a collector, just a Chanel lover so, I like to check out their collection from time to time or just spacial season that I really like to buy. I stopped by this shop multiple times and sometimes I ended up getting nothings, with that been said, they never judge me but ended up with a smile. I have heard negative reviews about this store " Judge customer by the way they dress up" like if you don't look nice they won't care to take care of you because you more likely not gonna buy anything in their store. So, here what I did. I stared by dress up very nicely, walked in there to just looked around, of cause people treated me very nice by showing around but I didn't get anything, which I meant to do that. Next time I dressed up very casual walked in there again, same thing, just checking out but not gonna buy anything. A few SA recognized me, welcome me with smiles and tried their best to help out but I walked out with nothing again. Lastly, I went there with my slipper, workout clothes and didn't even put any make up on, yeah I looked horrible and my husband was surprised that I even walked out of the house like that lol. This time, I prepared to get a bag (6k) and I know they had it. Again, walked around like I was not gonna get anything again. This will be my finally test, surprisingly, I once again got the same warm welcome. I walked around for like 10 mins and my SA at that time didn't judge the way I looked but willing to show me and help out with any question. I finally got a bag from her that day and since then, I feel like whenever I need any thing from Chanel I always go there without any pressure but feel like friends and family there. But Jose Ricci in Tysons Galleria was very attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful!.He talked to me about different perfumes for 25 minutes, letting me try a variety of scents and listening to what my daughter likes, he looked for exactly what would suit her best - I was looking for perfume as a gift for my daughter. I wasn't sure at that moment which of the two scents, that Jose recommended, would be better for my daughter and Jose Ricci gave me 2 samples. . This helped a lot! Since it's Covid, it is advisable to make an appointment with a sales associate so you don't have to wait in line for God knows how long. I did just that, booked a slot for 3PM on a Thursday and did not have to wait in line. The SA did call me to let me know that she will be running 5 mins behind, no problem at all. My mom and I spent roughly an hour in the store looking at various items, my mom is not an easy person to shop with but the SA did an amazing job with being patient and professional throughout and we didn't feel rushed even though there is a time crunch due to the current circumstance. I had my eye on a purse but didn't feel like splurging at the moment and the SA handed me her business card so I could text her directly if and when I need something from the store. I live all the way in Baltimore and I don't mind that rough drive from 95 to 495 just to get the 5 star treatment I've received at several visits to the Chanel boutique. Now when I go shopping I do not get dressed up ever, I wear gym clothes almost everyday. Not once was I denied a warm welcome from the security staff and the SA's, I thought for sure I I'd be ignored based on how I looked. Michelle is the SA that takes care of me each time I come and she we have nice conversations about thing going on in our lives while I look at different items. At one point I brought in a bag to exchange and something went wrong with my credit card and it declined. I was in a panic because I barely used that card and it had a credit limit so there was be reason why it shouldn't work. The manager came out and greeted me and got me to calm down so we could both figure out what was wrong. We got my bank on the phone and we got the issue resolved, I was so grateful that she took the time out to help me. I have never been so disgusted in my life! I have a Chanel bag that I paid over $2,000. For in 2008. The lining tore a few years ago and then the zipper. I sent it back to the Tyson's Corner Chanel where Sara was lovely and assisted me. She just called back saying that the bag was considered " vintage" and couldn't be repaired so it's being returned to me in the same condition. I was under the impression that registering the bag meant that it would be repaired at no cost forever. Not so! I had my eye on a second bag but knowing what I know now, I won't be buying anything else Chanel even though I love the look. What a rip off! Who has ever heard of a company screwing a customer like that?! I am an average Middle class American. It took a while to save up for this purchase. I had a VERY minor repair done to a wallet. It took 2 months and almost $200. No free shipping and the wallet wasn't returned in a dust cover. Plus, after 2 months I called and the repair was completed. Hmm. I guess the sales associates aren't paid for repairs. I'm really not sure why this store got such negative reviews. Yes, Chanel is expensive... but it's a well-known luxury brand that upholds an image, and the quality of their products are impeccable. So unless you're a bajillionaire, a Chanel bag usually isn't your everyday bag. It's also not as saturated as other luxury brands, such as LV and Gucci, hence the heavy price tag. They sell handbags, wallets, clutches, coin purses, jewelry, watches, sunglasses, scarves, shoes, and perfume at this location. Although I don't have many things from here, I receive great service whenever I stop by, even just to look. I don't dress well every time either, I could go in jeans and a sweater and still receive great service. I love popping in once in a while, just to see their current collections in person (currently, they have the Cruise '14) - I just love caressing their fabric! :P Ms. Farah Youssefi, one of the SAs, was so unbelievably sweet and awesome, and answered all my questions. I found a limited edition of a classic that had hand-woven sequins and is in coral color, with a coral satin-lining. The sales associates and the door man always greet me with a smile and are more than willing to show me all the color options that they have available without making me feel rushed or pressured to buy anything. I bought a bag at the chanel store at heathrow airport on Sunday. When I showed that bag to my husband that night, I noticed the decorative side chain had fallen off. I returned my defective bag to the tysons' store on Friday. Brienna asked me if I wanted to send it in for repair or exchange it for a new one. I chose to exchange it for a new one as I believe most people would. She then told me that she had to process it as two separate transactions. She would need to return the bag and the I would repurchase. Again -- I didn't think anything was off with this transaction. But then, when it was time to purchase, the bag was now $700 more than my purchase price. Brianna explained she could not honor the price I paid in heathrow and she thought it was 'common knowledge'. And then she said since I said 'I got a great price in London' - I understood that. So of course I ask her to cancel my return so I can get my bag back at the price I paid and she said she cannot 'undo' the transaction. Of course I would never have returned the bag (and no reasonable person would) and pay for the same exact bag for $700 more when it was a manufacturers defect. Needless to say - I left without my bag and feeling like the boutique and their salesperson was dishonest and deceptive. My husbands's theory is that it was intentional since then she would get credit for a sale. Needless to say -- be careful if you have a defective bag and I would be concerned that the practices of this boutique are shady. When I contacted Chanel - they basically said it was up to the boutique how they handled the situation. I've never had this problem with Louis Vuitton -- they stand by their products and I have found their customer service is better. Maybe other stores are better. This boutique has a good selection that often you wont find at Neiman or other stored so it's always good to get your Chanel from a Chanel boutique than dept. Store because certain styles or color are usually only available at boutiques. In fact, when I purchased my bag in black color this store was the only that had it in stock. The associate who helped me was very knowledgeable and patient. She showed me several items and suggested I tried them in front of the full mirror to get a feel of the different styles and options. She said it was "an investment" and she ensured I was happy and remorse free of my purchase. Indeed, during that visit, my friend and I took our time and I didn't feel like I was under pressure. We even walked away, had dinner at nearby Maggianos only a few steps away then talked it out. By the time dinner was over, I had made up my mind and settled on the cross body in medium. Still, the associate remained patient and helpful throughout the process.
