We explained the color palette to her for a awhile and she talked about how difficult the dresses were to pull from the system. On top of that I wasn't a huge fan of the styles and I really wanted a halter. I asked her 3 times and basically was going to back out from buying anything until she finally went on her computer to miraculously find one halter that was avaliable in that color. As expressed by a lot of reviews here, I personally felt really pressured to size up. Even when the dress was a good fit, she would say that I should size up. When it came time to order the dress she kept pushing me to get a size that's 2 sizes up from my norm and I explained that I'd be fine 1 size up. She finally was hands up "ok. You know your body. " why yes, yes I do. And I know how the dresses felt on me and what level of breathing I will manage to look good in the dress lol. There was a lot of pressure to buy. Everyone had to put in their dress style and go to this link to register and checkout together. Next day I found this $275 dress on sale for $98 on the Jenny Yoo site (my size available). And Bella's policy is no returns or exchanges because "everything is made to order. " when I reached back out to tell them this, they gave me a little bit of money back because that was what they paid the manufacturer. Still sad that I didn't get the $98 price but I increased from 3 to 4 stars for the partial refund and working with me. Maybe it's covid, or maybe the atmosphere here is just really pushy. Although we were able to try a bunch of dresses on, and we found what we wanted and what the bride wanted... I would not choose to put any of my friends through this when it's my turn... I mostly didn't like the pressure to buy right then and there.

However, Suitsupply is basically the Taco Bell of men's clothing. It's not bad but it certainly is not good. It's a factory for tons of young people to go in and get a decent suit with adequate materials, but where it matters most, they fall well short. The average person wearing a suit from Suitsupply will look silly - not like a clown but like they just bought their first suit. I bet their tailor is good and it appeared she was working really hard - but it's not the tailor that takes the measurement, it's the salesperson. My salesperson clearly was not interested in building a relationship, rather, it's getting customers in and getting them out - like a factory, like Taco Bell. The subtle nuances in suit wear and fine clothing make all the difference in the world and it's the subtle nuances they clearly miss, and that's unfortunate. I will provide two images that I asked my salesperson to snap (right after he suggested the fit looked great) and that was the obvious verticle wrinkle along my spine. Sadly, it had to be me to ask to have an image snapped. When I saw it looked terrible right after he was wanting to pack up my suit and send me on my way, it was clear - they aren't looking for clients, they are looking for customers - like Taco Bell. On the rare occasion someone tells me a positive story about Suitsupply - I'll presume they wear suits that fit them like a kid in junior high school. Again, I bet their tailor is actually ok but it's salespeople that are the conduit to a good fit and clearly, it does not matter to them. The spine bunching and the uneven cuff was not the fault of the tailor - it was the fault of the bar soap sliver that is marked by the salesperson to inform the tailor of what they are to do to make it fit just right. I left with my suit today thinking that if I just bought it right off the rack without any adjustments, I would have been told it "looks great" as the salesperson took no ownership of my experience or the fit. My suit sleeves are at least 2 inches too long but with working button holes, nothing can be done. It goes half way down my hands and again, the salesperson did not point it out and did not care. So if you want to blend in and look like everyone else, look sloppy - buy their adequate quality suits that aren't tailored to fit. When I dress up, I want to stand out - no different than when I want a great meal, I do not go to Taco Bell. So now, I will go back to Brioni, Ermenegildo Zegna, Stefanno Ricci and be happy to have real professionals craft me a beautiful suit that is expertly crafted and tailored and I will never again consider going cheap and getting a Taco Bell suit when I want to look first class and stand out in a crowd.

I was actually glad I didn't do a blind buy. The associate then directed me to the Byredo fragrance counter. I wanted a Byredo candle, but I wasn't looking to spend $95 on one. While browsing online, I noticed there was a smaller size available, but the associate never mentioned that option. The candle selection in the store was also very limited and seemed to be low in stock. When I told him I'd just order online, his attitude became noticeably dismissive once he realized I wasn't purchasing the $95 candle. He did offer to place an online order for store pickup, but by that point I no longer felt comfortable purchasing through him. Between his attitude and my earlier interaction with the second associate, I simply didn't feel valued as a customer. I then went up to the third floor, where the experience unfortunately didn't improve. Although several sales associates walked past me, no one greeted me or offered assistance. I finally stopped one associate and asked if the candles on display were the only ones available. She replied that she was on her break and could find someone else to help. I asked if she could simply answer my question, and she responded, "I don't know." At that point, I was extremely frustrated. Thankfully, my experience completely turned around when I reached the customer service register. The two gentlemen working there were incredibly kind, patient, and understanding. I'll admit I probably came across as frustrated, but that was only because of the multiple negative interactions I'd already experienced. They noticed I was on a scooter wearing a walking boot and treated me with genuine care and respect. One of the associates was Micah S., and he and his coworker provided the level of customer service I had hoped to receive throughout the store. They listened, understood my concerns, and made me feel appreciated as a customer. They truly deserve recognition--and if anyone has earned a bonus or a raise, it's those two gentlemen.

When coming in to try on the rental pants were noticeably short, was told no problem was given a time to come back, I should have tried on again as the pins were still in them and the length was awful, my money is on the tailor never got around to it. Once actually in the event you realize it doesn't matter if it was thrifted or custom tailored if you're with good people you'll have fun. Moral of the story is be cautious if going to men's Wearhouse in the spring as the number of rentals vast and the amount of people working is not enough to give you your money's worth. This Alice and Olivia boutique has them all, and then some! Let me break down why this store rocks: 1) The clothes! Insert a million heart eyed emoji here. From classy pieces for the boardroom, to rock and roll looks to own a night out in, and elegant gowns for the most sophisticated gala, they have you covered. The fabrics are all quality, and none of the clothes suffer from pulled threads, fraying, or wear and tear the way that cheaper pieces do (ever notice how clothes at Forever 21 are falling apart on the hanger? Yeah, that doesn't happen here.) they also have a few yoga pieces that are really well designed - and the bags and accessories are always tempting! I have bought jeans (they make the best white jeans in the world by the way), cocktail dresses, pencil skirts, and crop tops here. And I seriously considered one of their sequinned gowns as a wedding dress! 2) The service! When I'm shopping, there is a line between attentive service and "please stop hovering so I can actually browse the racks on my own for a minute please". The staff here completely nail this balance! Sometimes I come in, a little under-caffeinated, and they give me space to aimlessly browse the racks and pet all the pretty clothes. Other times I walk in with something in mind and they always make it happen. For me, the real star at this location, and the reason I will keep bringing my business here is Alena. She is the best sales associate I've ever worked with! When I want a piece, she will have it shipped to my house or the boutique if they don't have my size in stock. She will place pieces on hold for me during sales, and messages me when cute pieces come in that I might like. I've received notes in the mail from her congratulating me on my engagement, which is incredibly classy. She always makes shopping at the boutique a fun experience for me and anyone else who comes in with me! I've tried on so many new styles and silhouettes at her encouragement and love the outfits she puts together! 3) No Pressure To Purchase One time I came in because I wanted to look at their Basquiat collection. It had just come in to the store and the girls working there said they hadn't seen any of the pieces on customers yet, would I like to model the whole collection for them? Ummmmmmmmm.... obviously?! I never feel bad trying on pieces and not purchasing anything in the store, and there is never an expectation of purchase when you try on items here. 4) The Shipping It's nice to shop somewhere with an online store too. It means there is more availability, and you can scope out items before you go into the boutique. When you order items online from Alice and Olivia (or have them shipped from the boutique for free - which is what I do) they arrive in a white box, wrapped up in printed tissue paper, with a handwritten note thanking you for your purchase and hoping that your love your new pieces. This review is turning into an epic novel, so here's the skinny: shopping here can be whatever you want it to be - a party with your girlfriends, a focused shopping expedition, or a solitary browse.
