The right fit can be life changing. Every one of the bras I have gotten are very good quality and will last a long time. Completely worth the price. I no longer live in Virginia, but I do travel back to the area annually and I rely on these wonderful women to help me make sure I am correctly fitted and feel comfortable and beautiful. Good lingerie costs, but it also lasts. I have never purchased a bra that fell apart shortly after buying it from Belle Mode and I have gotten miles out of their items. Girl math = spend a decent amount on a few really good bras and spend less overall compared to cheep options that fall apart quickly.

I came…read moreto the store because a good friend (who lived in Fairfax) past away and I acquired his last suit that he purchased at William T. Clothiers, and I wanted to get it altered for me in his memory. While I was there I decided to get 4 customs shirts made, as my last tailor retired recently. The shirt measurement process was strange from the get go, the owner/tailor Todd put 2 sample shirts in the dressing room. He stated 1 was for tighter fit, and 1 was for a looser fit. But didn't tell which one was which, so I put on the closest one to me. Todd then started asking me about how I wanted the length/width and such and started to measure me. Then we started to go over shirt patterns and fabrics, and I started to pick out patterns/fabrics/cuffs/collars pretty standard stuff. BTW, once this process started I never did try on the other sample shirts and he never mentioned for me to do so. After all the measuring was finished the pricing came, and OMG it was crazy expensive! The 4 shirts came to an average of $323.75 each, wow. All of my suits, jackets, dress pants, and dress shirts in the last 20 years have been custom tailored as I am an oddly shaped person. I know custom clothing is expensive, but the most I've ever paid for a shirt was about $200, but I bit the bullet and went ahead and ordered the shirts as I need a closet refresh. After a few days I got a message that 2 of the shirt designs were not available, so I had to basically let Todd pick the new colors/designs. About 4ish weeks later my shirts were ready for pickup, I was excited to see how the expensive shirts looked. When I tried on the 4 shirts, they were so tight that I was really taken aback. It was like his tape measure or eyesight was not working properly, they were so ill fitting. So all 4 shirts had to be completely reorder, and low and behold another color/design was not available again. That makes 3 of the 4 colors/designs picked out ended up unavailable. Well I picked up the 4 shirts yesterday, 5 months after my original order/measurement. Another bothersome thing with this tailor/Todd is that I ended up in that shop approximately 8 times, and Todd was only there 2 times. He as some nice whiskey displayed in the shop, never did he offer any to me. He knew how upset I was, and didn't even have the decency to be present when I finally pick up my shirts yesterday. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this tailor, there are so many tailors to choose from in the DC area to deal with this tailors crazy high prices, and awful customer service. The shirts are good quality, but this quality can be had for half the price.

They do still have a decent selection at this location and the shelves are nicely and neatly stocked, with the bonus that they haven't crammed the racks together yet so you barley fit a cart like they are doing it every other Ross! The only negative thing, and it is a very negative thing, is the staff here are hit or miss. There are a couple really friendly ones but not very often. There's one lady who has dark hair and she's always at the register in the middle of the store with the jewelry around it - not the one ones near the window in a row - and she's so rude and unfriendly, it's horrible. I always say hi with a big smile but she is rude, won't look you in the eye and only speaks to you if necessary and it's usually to argue; she literally could give two you know whats!!! Thank God for Mr. Kevin who is one of the really nice ones, and so friendly and helpful AND HE SPEAKS TO YOU lol! Too bad he's only there part-time, because he is amazing & they are super lucky to have him!!! Lots of warm clothing available for children. For adults, sizing skews towards the larger sizes in jackets and shirts and pants probably because fewer donate at the smaller sizes for adults. My wife was try to show the cashier her phone number on her phone without verbally saying it out loud. The cashier was in a hurry and did not hear my wife. Her English Language is still in early development, but I think she did an outstanding job with her English. Listening is something to be worked on. Upon try to use the Marshall's reward card, the information was very confusing and not explain well. Since there was a lost in translation problem, the rewards card was left in the wind. Aside from this experience my wife experienced, the rest of the stay here was good. Hopefully next time the experience will be better from start to finish.
