This is one of the best thrift stores I've been to in a long time! I'm a big Unique Thrift fan already but holy cow this was great! They have a huge shoe/ jewelry/ bag/ accessories section right when you walk in that is amazing! It's really well organized and the largest accessories section I've seen at a Unique Thrift. They have tons and tons of clothing racks! I found some real gems in including a 100% linen shirt and three pairs of shorts. Each item is priced differently and the items are sorted by category and size. These thrift stores give you a 20% off coupon if you donate something. They also have 25% discount days on Mondays and Thursdays, so those days are pretty busy. read more

I am so disappointed with shopping at Unique. The prices at this thrift store have become astronomical. Art is priced as if you are shopping at an upscale gallery. They have mediocre art priced as high as $89.99. They treat the art like it is junk; it is crammed on the shelves and it is stacked haphazardly on the floor. The bric-a-brac is not much better. While they offer a diverse array of tchotchkes they too are exorbitantly overpriced and they are crammed together on the shelves, and have a junky appearance. I commiserated with a customer who wanted to buy a small night light with Blessed mother and the Christ child. it was made in China and I would estimate the value to be around $5; they had it priced at $29.99. They were selling a small Willow tree angel for $14.99; you can get a new one at the Hallmark store in its box for that price or less. I also went into the aisle where they had random picture frames. The aisle was crammed with picture frames which were haphazardly arranged. visually it was unappealing and the art frames on the lower shelf were stacked in a way that they were inaccessible.So here is the dilemma; this is a junky thrift shop that is trying to pretend that it is a boutique and it is not happening. I am all in favor of supporting charity thrift stores but this store is unfairly pricing these donated goods such that the people who depend on thrift shopping to add special things or necessities cannot afford them. The prices here is crazy! DVDs are bluerays are $4-5 and I saw books that were up to $10. They definitely had a lot of stuff but it just didn't seem worth it. They even had a sewing machine for $50 but when was dragged it over to an outlet to see if it worked it didn't even turn on. PROS - HUGE space - well organized - pretty clean - 20% off coupon when you make a donation - big parking lot - good variety of clothing, seasonal, toys, home goods, etc - bundled goods like office supplies and toys make for good deals CONS - no fitting room - watch the prices carefully as some things are way overpriced for thrift shop (think $5 for an item that still has the $1 dollar store price tag on it) - a fair amount of broken/damaged items on the shelves I've found some real gems here, but you need to be prepared to hunt! read more

This was my first time to a Unique Thrift Store. All the reviews were great, so I had to check out this place. The place is very well organized. Every section is labeled very clearly, easy to find the section(s) you are looking for. I love that! They are constantly adding more items so there are employees everywhere with carts of new items. I love that too! Always fun to go through the carts with items no one else has seen on the shelves yet. BUT ... the 3/5 stars is because of the pricing. Prices were often found to be unrealistic, very inconsistent, and not your typical thrift store pricing on many items. Now, I did not go through the clothing or shoe section, so I cannot speak for that area, which is predominately what this store has. I was in the "collectibles," glass, kitchen, toys, home goods, etc sections. A Longaberger basket for $30? It was medium size, no liner, no protector, excessive wear, nails were bleeding. It would not even resale in that condition for that much. A collectible vase for $30? It was large, beautiful, definitely name brand and likely very expensive when brand new or in used mint condition. The flowers on the sides were broken, unrepairable. There was fading, chips, and large crack on the bottom. A Longaberger small pitcher for $15? Okay, that seems okay, but in looking at the resale, it goes for maybe $20. The ROI is not good on this one. The pitcher was in mint condition. If you were buying to keep and use it would be a decent price. A marble round riser or cheese platter, small size, for $4.49? Okay, good price, or so I thought. When I turned this product over I found a sticker price tag from Ross for $3.99. WHAT? $2 discrepancy for the same exact item in the same condition. $15 ... $9 ... $3 ... same product, varying sizes (smallest was mid priced), all good condition. I could go on and on and could have taken more pictures, but I would have spent my whole time do this. I asked the lady helping folks at self checkout who prices items. She said "The people in the back, but this is the #1 complaint I hear ... the pricing." Now, I will say, I am 90% a reseller, but I also gift, source for friends, and keep items I find. Historically, thrift stores help the community to afford items for a cheaper price. They also keep things out of landfills. I found a few items at Unique at reasonable prices, so I did not come up completely empty handed! The biggest criticism I have about this place, as well as sister stores like 2ndAve, is the inconsistent pricing and often high pricing for items that are not even okay used. read more

Pretty good thrift store. It's quite huge, so there's a lot to choose from. Things are well organized. They offer clothes, shoes, coats, kitchen items, electronics, books, kids toys, curtains, seasonal decorations, and furniture. Some things are not worth it so it's good to have a since of awareness of the current value for things. For example, I saw a used crock in good shape, barely used pot for $13, but you could get a brand new for $19 in Walmart. (Before I start this review I want to say that even though the outdoor signage says Unique Thrift, this is a for profit organization. If you are patient, you can find some items like board games or books for steep discounts. Otherwise, do not expect a small bill for a large haul.) This place is huge. They have a plethora of everything; books, home decor, women's clothing, you name it. I would suggest having an idea of what you are shopping for before heading in as it is super easy to get distracted or overwhelmed. As far as the stock goes it is not bad. There were a lot of brands I was unfamiliar with and a lot from familiar fast fashion brands like Shein, Forever 21, etc and all the clothes are organized by their respective categories. (Pants, tops, dresses, tshirts, etc) If you're looking to snag brand names at a deal know that this store is also familiar with brand popularity and prices accordingly. After being at the store for almost an hour I bought absolutely nothing. Maybe I didn't look hard enough. Maybe a lot of similar items are donated. Unclear. TLDR; I give this thrift store four stars for the size, organization, and hard working staff that tries to make the store easier to shop at. Just accused of stealing by an associate at checkout. SHE said the price on the ticket wasn't 'enough' and should have been $15.99. She was NOT going to refund our money, and she took the item away. We complained and she said if we shopped there again that we had to get EVERYTHING we were buying 'approved' before we could buy anything. I went to Unique for the very first time this past week. First of all, I have been missing out! This has to be one of the largest thrift stores I've ever seen the rows were endless and packed. For anyone who is worried that resellers are taking all the good stuff from thrift stores fear not. Once you see with your own eyes the endless racks of disposed clothing you will have a pretty good idea that we have way too many garments out there needing homes. I found the prices to be fair. It's interesting which brands they price high and others not. There were tons of people shopping and I found the crowd to be friendly and respectful. I do feel bad for the employees who roll out the new merchandise, shoppers fall on the new racks to get the first look immediately. I needed somewhere to voice a formal complaint with this store. In my opinion, what they are doing is selfish and wrong. This store used to be a fun place to find gems and hang out with friends. Unfortunately now, it is an overcrowded mess where you can find things that you could buy brand new for $10 for $100. The last time I was at the thrift store, I saw a poster for sale for $900. Calling this a thrift store is not accurate - they are taking advantage of their customers. They use Google Lens to research the items they get for free and mark up the costs tenfold (singular flat sheets for $20, jackets for $39.99, pants for $40...) - but this is not a consignment or antique mall, no, they still label themselves as a "thrift store". You can't even argue the sustainability of thrifting because the items aren't good quality/natural fibers/long lasting. They have Shein for $15. When I asked about the $900 poster, they (including the manager) could not explain the high price and could also not direct me to how to the chose that price for the item/why it was worth so much. They seemed annoyed with me asking. It feels sad and shady that they are making thrifting inaccessible and I hope this review sheds some light on how they can make things better. This store is charging prices that are outrageous for a thrift shop. I ran across several items that were new because they were still in the unopened original packaging. The Marshalls sticker was very plain to see but this store charged double the original purchase price. When I asked about it they seemed to not understand English and just shook their heads. I don't get it. Maybe I lack "thrifting technique!" I decided to try thrifting for some preloved designer pieces. Unique was full of low end brands like Merona from Target. I didn't see anything on the racks that I wanted. This was polyester heaven! If you're looking for cheap brands at cheap prices then this store will work because new/new-ish pairs of women's shoes average $7 to$12 and dresses run about the same. I was looking for pieces that aren't affordable new, so I invested almost an hour and left disappointed. The huge size of Unique might offer lots of opportunities for the right customers but I won't be back. read more

I wish I could give negative stars. I have a motorized scooter that I wanted to donate to them. It doesn't start, but a mechanic could probably fix it in less than 5 minutes (I CLEARLY TOLD THEM THIS). They assured me that they would take it. When I got to Unique, they turned me away. It's been a while since I went thrifting and this location is HUGE. Large selections and everything is good for price. Whatever the price on the tag is, when you come to check yourself out, there might be an even discounted price. Got such a cute skirt and lots of items for under $6. The store has great selection but also messy. Pros is that there is also a self check out so you wont have to wait that long in line. This place is amazing!!! It's well organized, lots of signage, and plenty of stuff! I went in to look for something so random obscure, a slice of fake cake as a prop for a Marie Antoinette costume. I can't believe I found it for 99 cents! It was a bank so I can easily work with it utilizing the slot and the hole in the bottom. It was also in a protective baggie like most small items. I highly recommend this place for pure entertainment as well as finding stuff. Lots of decorative pieces, serving pieces, and items for crafts. Tons and tons of clothes. Nothing really "Unique " about it. If you're into large thrift stores, you might like it here. It is a strange spot, and competing with "people of Walmart." A lot of people really like this. I believe some proceeds go to charitable causes, but am unsure of who benefits or what the percentages are. To me there's just a lot of unnecessary items. As a "when in doubt throw it out type," I respect others may have a different opinion. That's totally cool as we all are wired differently. Thank goodness for that. I've gotten a lot of really great stuff at Unique over the years, but I recently found myself in immediate need of business casual work clothes that wouldn't break the bank, and I found one of my favorite finds of all time...a J. Crew Schoolboy blazer, (currently listed on their website for $198) for $3.99. I actually feel a little guilty for getting it so cheap! I really like how Unique sorts their clothes, and I appreciate that almost everything is by size. I can get really overwhelmed in busy places like this, but the organization keeps my stress to a minimum. It can absolutely be a hit or miss place, but when it hits it REALLY hits. So let's get this out of the way: Unique is not the place you go for best deals in thrifting (that would Goodwill, Salvation Army). Nor is this the place to find rare finds like antiques or war treasures. Unique is the place to go for the biggest selection in thrifting. They have all the usual categories (men, women, kids clothing; furniture, jewelry, shoes, bags, hats, houseware, kitchenware, pictures, games, etc). Just a lot more of them. See pics. When you first walk in there a few small shops if you want to dabble in that. They mostly are just used electronics and trinkets. I didn't think they were worth my time. Everything is laid out in aisles. The clothing aisles are pretty well labeled. They have dividers for the sizes. I like that they organize it so that the same sizes are all in one area so you don't have to be running all over the place to get different types of clothing for your size. Everything is individually tagged and priced. (unlike Goodwill where all items in the same category is one flat price). The pricing varies depending on the brand name and the condition. The well known brands can be seen several dollars more than a similar non-branded item. Though someone needs to tell whoever is pricing these that Target and Walmart brands like "No Boundaries", "Mossimo", "Merona" should not marked as name brands...I have found used shirts from those stores at the same price as brand new new store lol....Though conversely I have found certain big name brands marked low because they are not the hottest brands today's fashion but they are still quality brands. So you do still need to take the time to get the good finds. I so wish they would group like colored clothing together. But I guess there are always just too many people rehanging things that this would be impossible. It is basically a warehouse so it is not the cleanest place. They no longer have fitting rooms open because of COVID. But they do have mirrors at the ends of aisles so you can at least see yourself in the clothes. Now it is all self checkout and employees will hover around to help you as needed. They do have discounts on certain days of the week if you sign up for their membership (free to join). Every 100 points, you get 20% off on your next purchase. Weekends it is always very crowded. So if you live close and can go during the week I would recommend this. Whenever I have thirty minutes to kill, I love stopping by Unique Thrift Store. Searching through the aisles is always a treasure hunt and I've walked away with some one-of-a-kind home decor (their basket section is my jam) or clothing. They update their stock frequently and everything they sell is seasonable. My two best finds of the year is a pristine emerald green wool baby jacket with gold buttons from Janie and Jack for less than $5 and a plethora of cute Japanese to-go boxes, wax paper, and other baking accoutrements. As I've mentioned before, this spot is a little bit more pricier than the average Goodwill but I always have tons of fun whenever I visit. read more

Agreed with other reviews. People donate for free. Selling it back with expensive price tags for used items. Take too much time to find stuffs. Importantly, you CANNOT RETURN. NO FITTING ROOM. Only exchange within 14 days , BUT you have to buy back on the same day. And you know, it took so much time to find things again. Do you know? Have written multiple reviews of this thrift store. It is simply superlative. Have been away from here for months. Returned and decided to indulge in my favorite distraction -- thrifting. But frankly, Unique is so good I pretty exclusively come here when in town. Today's (bandit level!) haul: a specific rice rinsing bowl that normally costs $8 online. Was at Unique for $1. A n d an Instant Pot, 6 qt size, metal insert bowl for $6. Currently listed at $30 online. This is a heavy, solid bowl, with the Instant Pot level/measure markings, not a cheap knockoff. ALSO -- it was 25% off Thursday (for Super Savers); so reduce the price by that as well. Fun! Are you a senior citizen? There's a discount day for that, too. They had two vertical rotisseries which I know are several times more expensive on eBay. Healthy cooking if you purchase for your own use. So many (gourmet and unique) kitchen gadgets at this store. Always. Most of the furniture was cleaned out today. Some new changes -- self checkout lanes! And lots of them. Long waiting lines at checkout had always been an issue. Excellent improvement. Shoe displays have more overview and space now. Also good. Gotta love it. Go, check it out. You are likely to find something you've always wanted and didn't want to spend the "new" price on. Caution. Just want to echo that it's true- almost all toys, decorations and home goods are broken or missing parts but are priced at full MSRP or more. Have many a time seen damaged items priced 2-3 times above retail. The return policy is atrocious. Everything is buyer beware. Get home and the battery-less toy priced as if new is completely inoperable when you put in batteries? You're stuck with it. Lamp doesn't work? It's yours! Extension cord fritzed? Idk, use it to bind something bc it's definitely yours. Arrived home multiple times with only one of a pair of shoes after using their own cashiers and nothing could be done. At this point, I may have lost more than I potentially saved. They would do better if they had some sort of regulated pricing but I do believe management pushes some predatory behaviors. I have seen staff questioning people at the register aggressively as if to accuse them of theft or shoplifting when items are missing price tags. Also, they use permanent red marker on the soles of "nicer" shoe brands. As theft prevention? This marker bleeds when packaged with other items so my white shoe purchase is suddenly red, and again, it's my fault that their marker damaged my purchase. It just ends up feeling like a slimy gotcha. Absolutely there's Google Lens unsold Ebay pricing. Thrift shoppers shouldn't feel shamed for coming in to look for bargains. The promise of a bargain is why Unique has foot traffic at all and why shoppers are willing to overlook that an item is used, damaged and from 3-8 years ago. read more
