I feel badly writing this, but we have decided to give up donating to The Treasure Hound. Sometimes I've called to ask if you accept a type of item and have been that you do, but when arriving, am told you don't and never have. And although you say you accept new and gently used items, sometimes a volunteer wants to cherry pick. Everything is always carefully packed and protected as necessary, and we're not going to unpack and repack boxes at someone's whim, and then find somewhere else for items not taken. After many years donating to a variety of nonprofit thrift shops, and sadly our favorite one shutting down, we're giving up on the Treasure Hound. We have not had similar problems with any other shop. It makes us sad because we prefer to support a group like yours that helps animals. read more

You can tell the volunteers put a lot of effort into sorting and organizing by category more so than size. Found lots of size smaller sized jackets which are ordinarily not found in quantity at other stores. When this store has a sale, its value is unbeatable. One of the jackets I did not buy was because it had a hole in it. It was patchable but slightly off center and in the back so I wasn't sure if it would look okay so I didn't buy that one. Otherwise, everything was clean and relatively good enough quality that I would not mind giving these as gifts to my kids. Parking is plentiful. Note that GPS map positioning is a bit off so allow extra time to further navigate around median strip lanes. Service is generally helpful: when I remembered I needed hangers--the clerk pointed me upstairs to buy the flimsier plastic hangers rather than wooden and metallic and hard plastic ones carrying the stores clothing. Wish there was a WiFi signal but also saw there is WiFi signal from an adjacent work space Bricklayer coworking space so one can confirm via internet that Treasure Hound's prices are unbeatable if on sale. Without sale, they are comparable to other thrift stores. read more

The senior lady working at the cashier is rather rude. She pretends not hearing me call her, she pretends not noticing me waiting for her to open a case. When she finally is done all check outs. She is organizing something on the counter. I had to walk up to her to get her attention, she replied "I am busy." in cold voice. I waited a bit until she happily takes care of a gentleman checking out and obviously she knows how to smile. 7/23/2025 3:30pm. Wow- lots of stuff and the place goes on and one. Highly recommend for checking it out! Some name brand clothes with tags as well as used. The best stuff is in on front. There is a back room with more household stuff and an upstairs. It was annoying that clothes were not organized by size. read more

I always like to donate to places that help the community, when I found out that Treasure Hound supports Friend Of Homeless Animals it made me smile. This little treasure of resale items is a must donate, also a must shop at. I have shop here for numerous items from wine glasses to cards. They have it all. They are also particular on what the re-Sale. They keep it organized and even though the gentleman at the register is always grumpy he is super helpful! We need more places like this! I'm never coming back to this thrift store. It was my go-to place for getting birthday cards, postcards, and gifts for my family. The staff who worked there were rude to my mom because she wears a hijab and they started being unfriendly towards me (more than once) once they found out I was her daughter! They didn't treat the rest of the customers (which happened to be white) the same way we were treated. It's 2022... this type of racist behavior shouldn't happen in any establishment! read more

I've been shopping at the Treasure Hound for many years. I follow them on social media to watch for posts on items I am interested in buying. I often shop there for fun and unique gifts. (I once bought a Princess Diana bobblehead as a gift) They regularly have a large selection of CDs and LPs. You can always find good jewelry, clothes, and household items. They have a wide selection of books, and their pricing is very affordable. The store, while full, is well organized. The staff is very friendly and eager to help. As a bonus, you receive a shoppers card that they punch, and once you fill a card, you receive a discount on a future purchase. It is unconscionable to have a business of this size with no public restrooms. COVID is no longer a good excuse. People come from far to shop here and often spend a lot to support the animals. Many shoppers are elderly. Some come here to donate things. I read a review of a thrift store in Middleburg that didn't have a bathroom either. A customers elderly mom had to go and they wouldn't let her, she ended up wetting her pants. Does Treasure Hound want this to happen? read more

Treasure Hound really does have great finds, especially when you've only gone in for a quick browse after dropping off a donation. I have found unique books, unique figures, dog dishware, closet organizers, baking dishware, etc. I've never had buyer's remorse with any purchase, just pleasure, and the pricing is great! All of a sudden today I didn't wear makeup, I had a large jacket on it was cold they asked to leave large bags and backpacks purses checked at the front cashier. Rude. This place is prime for that - I get lost in here every time I visit, but I always leave with one thing I'll hold value on for years to come. Last time it was a mug. Closer to a 4.5. It's basically self service except for check out. The retirees who volunteer there are really just for show. But I've never had a bad experience with any of them. They do seem to enjoy one another. I've gotten several very nice pieces of original artwork for almost nothing. Best thrift store art pieces in the area. Rude staff. It was my first time in the shop and my last. Have never donated and never will. I walked in with a stroller and the woman at the counter simply said "strollers are not allowed in here". I thought I heard wrong so I apologized for not understanding and she just repeated the same thing. Once I turned around to simply leave the store without saying a word, she finally said "sorry" and muttered something I guess about space. After exiting, I looked at the 1000 posted papers they have at the entrance door and not a single one said that strollers were not allowed in the store. Unnecessarily rude. So many different ways she could've chosen to speak to me and showed she cared about having my business. Something as simple as saying, "space is a little tight in here for strollers, is there anything I can help you find?". I wonder what kind of accommodations, if any, they make for customers in wheelchairs or motorized scooters. read more
