I said goodwill has fitting rooms and no one monitors them. They then told me people go into the restroom to try things on even though they arent supposed to. What? I come here for just what I need. I got a cardigan once, came for a cover up today. But ill stick with thrifting with fitting rooms.

I love supporting small businesses, and I never pass up a trip to a thrift shop. I found a blazer that I liked, but I needed to make sure that it fit my shoulders, so I tried it on over my clothes. Immediately, I heard a woman barking loudly near me that trying on clothing was not allowed because of their return policy. I turned to see who was being loud and obnoxious, when I saw a short, elderly woman with salt and pepper hair jabbing at the air with her fingers, saying the same thing over and over again (you can find a picture of her in a previous review). The tone she used and the spectacle she was making made me laugh at her out of pure bewilderment. My husband and I immediately agreed that we didn't want to spend our money at a place where the staff didn't know how to treat people with kindness and respect. I hung up my items and we promptly left. I wish I had read the reviews before taking time out of my day to go there.

That said, I thought the prices were a little bit high. I got a couple things, but if the prices were better, I would've gotten more. They had an antique wheelchair, for example, that was like $700. They also had vintage film projectors and other things like that that were priced fairly high. If they had clothes, I didn't notice. I think they did, just not a lot of them. If I lived nearby, I'd stop in from time to time.
