Crispy Chicken Skins ($13)
Elena N.

Date: Monday, December 29th, 2025 Time: 2:30pm Party of: 4 Meal: Lunch Reservation Made Thru: OpenTable earlier in the day *GL - 9 - Cabernet Sauvignon ($24) *Fine, You? ($16) *The Magarian ($16) *Crispy Chicken Skins ($13) *Devil's Eggs ($16) *Pepp on Pepp Flatbread ($18) *Bacon Burger ($19) *Brussels Sprouts Caesar ($16) *Baked Mac & Cheese ($16) *Short Rib Steak ($36) *Greenall's - well ($10) We were looking for a spot on the way to the airport. I did a quote search of my bookmarks and Carson Kitchen showed up. It was easy to make a reservation. Not really any street parking, so we parked in a structure nearby. I believe it was something like $10 for two hours. Good bar / pub type food. I liked how the deviled eggs came with caviar. And their burgers come with tots with is my fav way to eat fried potatoes. So crispy! I found their cocktails to be more on the light and refreshing side. I'm more of a spirit forward girl. Very chill for a Monday afternoon. I believe I bookmarked this spot wither for their rooftop or their happy hour. The rooftop looked closed and we showed up too early for HH, so didn't take part in either. Service was good. Our server was sweet and attentive. If in the area, not a bad spot to stop by. Wouldn't mind checking out their HH specials. Note - They charge an additional 3% surcharge on credit card transactions. Carson Kitchen is a fun spot. Drinks are good and apps are great. Some of the stuff we ordered was just okay. Best thing in the menu is the chicken skins. Service was kinda slow. I would go back for the chicken skins and espresso martini. See my pics

Came here for date night. We tried several of the most popular tapas and they were all good. Lots of cocktail and wine options available. We came on a Saturday night so it was busy but had reservations. All of the food was good but we've had more flavorful dishes elsewhere.m for similar price.

We visited on a Monday evening and Reservations are definitely recommended and for good reason. Carson Kitchen absolutely delivered from start to finish. We sat at the counter, which I highly recommend, and got to watch the team prep and cook everything in real time. You can tell immediately that the food is fresh and largely house-made. Everything came out quickly but never felt rushed, just perfectly timed and expertly prepared. The chicken skins were incredible: hot, crunchy, well-seasoned with just the right amount of spice. The deviled eggs were spot on, and they do not skimp on the filling. The bacon burger was a standout, tender, insanely flavorful, and piping hot off the grill. Even the bun deserves praise: soft, buttery, and clearly intentional. And then the bread pudding... fluffy, rich, and eggy in the best way, topped with vanilla cream and a rum caramel that tied everything together beautifully. Service was excellent. Our waiter was perfectly attentive without hovering, and everyone we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. Overall, just a phenomenal dining experience. Easily a must-visit in Vegas, and we'll absolutely be back.

A mixed experience at Carson Kitchen after a matinee at the Smith Center. It was beautiful outdoors, but a private party occupied the patio, and the downstairs space was absolutely freezing. We spoke to them about this, but they weren't able to fix it. We literally wore our jackets indoors and still shivered. The long tables and stools were not comfortable for dinner; the atmosphere was bleak. Wins included the tasty devil's eggs and grape and burrata salad, with a nice light vinaigrette. But the bacon jam was greasy and the toasts underdone. Mushroom flatbread was tough and far spicier than we would have chosen. We skipped dessert in order to get outside and warm up!

In the area and wanted to give this place a try. Couldn't bring in outside drinks (soda). No reservation. Seated at a communal table. Service was good. Food was good. Beet salad (6/10). Beets were good. Cauliflower app. (5/10). Not a ton of flavor. Pot roast. (7/10). Was good Tater tots. (9/10). Crispy. Flavorful. Hint of spice. Definitely glad got to try the place out!

Dining here is a great experience and you don't have to be lucky to get the "right" section from the tapas menu. I visited with two others and we sampled a large portion of the menu. The dining room is small so make sure you get a reservation to ensure seating. I am a fan of craft cocktails but found the wine list much more pleasing. The food is actually great with some variations. From the Farm Fresh section were beets that I'd give a 4/5 score, cauliflower was an absolute 5/5, the devil eggs lacked flavor earning. 3.5/5. On to the proteins, the Chicken thighs (5/5) came in an order of three and are perfectly seasoned. The short ribs are also a 5/5, tender and perfectly prepared. However, the Oxtail risotto was hands down the favorite of the table. This is now one of my favorite places in Vegas.

I'm jumping straight into the food cause it was just wonderful!! 3 of us shared several plates. Cauliflower- 9/10 nice level of spiciness in the ala dente cauliflower. Oxtail risotto, my absolute favorite. 10/10 very meaty, creamy just nothing to say except it's fabulous! Pls get it!! Beets with orange & goat cheese 8.5/10. Flavors blend well together. Deviled eggs - 6/10. Just ok for me. Not a lot to talk about flavor-wise. I wouldn't get those again. Chicken - char grilled taste. Tender. Nice sauce. Just really good! 9/10 Short ribs - 8/10 ( but the sauce is a 10!) tender but a few parts were a little chewy. But the overall flavor price was wonderful. The chimicurri sauce on top was terrific, garlicky. It was cooked like a steak & sliced which surprised me. They didn't ask how we wanted it which I expected for short rib but it came medium. Donut bread pudding - 9.5/10. I was bracing for a super sweet & rich dessert but I have to say it was super tasty, not overly sweet just tasty. I would not have thought it was a donut, maybe a croissant. The carmel & the cream it was all just balanced perfectly. The bread (donut) was broil/charred on the top. Man it was just good!!! Service was good. They had only one server covering all tables on a slow night, he made it work. The restaurant is small, pretty loud talking & music. Open kitchen. Personable service. I recommend a visit.

My friend has been recommending this place for a while now. Finally decided to try it this trip. Not sure what I expected so I was surprised to find it's a rather small restaurant with limited menu offering. Service was ok. Server was nice and did recommend a few dishes. Our son is a picky eater so needed some menu accommodations. We ordered devil's eggs, secret Sunday fried chicken and chicken thighs. Other reviewers raved about the devil's eggs but we found it disappointing. The chicken sandwich was just ok. We got our bill in a "book". Thought that was a nice touch! Overall was just an ok experience. Not sure I'll be back.

We were in Downtown Las Vegas for vacation recently and we always heard amazing things about Carson Kitchen and we decided to stop in for dinner during our recent trip. We made a reservation in advance- the restaurant is pretty small, so definitely try to make a reservation if you can. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and were seated promptly at a table near the front. Our server came by a few minutes later and offered to answer any questions we had on the menu. We ordered a bottle of wine to start, all at reasonable prices, they had a few options to pick from. We ordered the Pepp on Pepp flatbread to start ($18), and the Brussell Sprout Caesar Salad ($13) and two of the Pot Roast Dips ($19). All of the food was truly amazing and all very fresh and tasty! The service was also really good throughout the meal and efficient. We look forward to returning and highly recommend trying Carson Kitchen if you're in the Downtown Las Vegas area!

Bacon Jam on a toasted bread bite

I finally made it back to Carson Kitchen after a year-long break from downtown Vegas -- and the regret hit instantly. I can't believe I deprived my family of the treasures on this menu for that long. Never again. The kids immediately demanded two orders of the fried chicken skins. To this day, we don't know another restaurant that does this dish even remotely like Carson Kitchen. My wife went straight back to her forever favorite: the pork belly. My oldest son? The deviled eggs, every single time. We tried the chicken thighs for the first time, and they were a standout- far more complex than expected. The char from the chicken paired with an Alabama-style mustard BBQ sauce created this perfect, rich balance. This is officially joining the "must-order every visit" category. And some things never change: The bacon jam is as essential at our table as oxygen is to human life, and the glazed donut bread pudding still holds the title of my number one dessert in all of Las Vegas. Carson Kitchen remains not just one of downtown's greatest gems, but all of Las Vegas. You don't know artisan comfort food until you've been here, and I'm done letting a year go by without coming back.

This place is really good! There's a parking structure right across the street which made it a easily accessible restaurant downtown. We sat at an L shaped table which wasn't idea if we wanted conversations with the whole table but it was nicely tucked in the back and the lighting was soft and cozy. The service was attentive and friendly. The Mac n cheese was probably my favorite item on the menu. I wanted to try several things so I ordered the pot roast dip (piping hot!) the chicken skins which felt like expensive pork rinds but were really good with the honey! I ordered a Cabernet as well to pair with everything. This place is good and has a unique menu everyone should check out at least once.

Great early dinner before a show at the Sphere. The two of us shared everything. We loved the Shaved Brussel Sprouts Caesar Salad, the NY strip and the potatoes. We would pass on the Grilled Oysters next time. Service was great and the restaurant is really cute but unassuming from outside. Will definitely be back to try more next time in Vegas.

And yes, it's not on the Strip. Yes, it's absolutely worth going anyway. Yes, the prices are great. We visited the location on Hughes, which was closer to the strip, but you still need a ride. The restaurant is large, like a Macaroni Grill, with lots of tables, plenty of two-tops. We tried not to compare it to the tiny tapas hole-in-the-wall places in Madrid and Barcelona. We had a reservation, but didn't need one on this Thursday at 6:30. We stood at the host stand for more than 5 minutes as there was no one there. When the hostess arrived, she sat us right next to another couple, you know where there are a bunch of two-tops against a wall with a long bench seat? It was odd, given that there were SO many other available tables. We ordered a pitcher of the red sangria, which was good. I don't know how many glasses there were, but more than two each. Maybe between two and three? Here's what we ordered (unfortunately, we had a bit of a late lunch so we weren't very hungry): Manchego and apple salad--I liked the ideas of the flavors together more than the result. It was fine, but my bites had too much cheese. May have just been the one we got. Bacon wrapped dates--these were really good! The bacon wasn't too fatty. A crisp almond inside. Yum! Camarones al ajillo--this was spectacular! Similar to garlic shrimp we had on a food tour in Madrid. Perfectly cooked shrimp with fried sliced bits of garlic in a garlic sauce. Dip the bread in it! You won't regret getting this dish! It's almost a reason to come here. Service was very fast! So fast that we were in and out in less than an hour. My conclusion--if this restaurant was down the street from my house, I'd frequent it with friends. I'm sure there's more to try that's really good and our appetite was part of the problem. But not worth the cab fare from the strip.

It has a warm ambient glow that makes the whole place feel intimate, but noise levels can be a bit high due to the close proximity of the tables and lack of noise buffer. Their drink menu is also creative, with unique cocktails and seasonal specials worth exploring. We tried a bunch of different food items: Takoyaki balls: the BEST balls ever! And that's saying a lot because we've been to Japan ! Takoyaki itself is a classic Osaka street food, traditionally made with diced octopus in a savory batter cooked in molded griddles. Here at Hachi, these takoyaki balls are crispy on the outside with a soft center, sitting abed a rich mayo-based sauce. What makes these stand out is the contrast with the balls of delicious and, instead of a fully liquid sauce, there are small chunks of cream cheese blended in, so you have bites of that with the battered balls! Agedashi Tofu: Lightly fried tofu served in a delicate dashi broth. The exterior is soft with a bit of crisp, while the inside stays silky and custard-like. The broth is clean and, if I dare say, savory but light. Basically a punch of umami and extremely balanced! Karaage: They are known for their chicken karaage, and it absolutely delivers. The chicken lightly coated and fried until golden and crisp while staying incredibly juicy inside. Each bite has a satisfying crunch followed by tender, flavorful meat! I highly recommend pairing it with the negi sauce, which delivers a a tangy vinegar-based scallion sauce that cuts through the fat and oils, and it deeply enhances the flavor of the chicken. Yakitori Skewers: Yakitori is a traditional Japanese grilling style where small skewers of meat are cooked over charcoal. The focus is on simple flavors utilizing high-quality ingredients. We tried a mix of skewers, which comes with a slice of lemon on top to be squeezed over the skewers: * Wagyu skewers: rich, buttery, and cooked to perfection * Beef tongue: more chewy and textured, so not a huge fan of it * Chicken skin: ultra crispy with rendered fat and a satisfying crunch * Pork belly with green onions: fatty, smoky, and balanced by the freshness of scallions We also ordered a fresh scallop skewer, grilled shrimp with tartar sauce, and eel. The scallops were sweet and tender with 3 pieces per skewer. The shrimp was cooked and de-shelled and served with a tartar sauce. The eel was the most memorable with its rich, tender, and deeply savory taste. Eel (unagi) is considered a delicacy in Japanese cuisine where it's known for its sweet glaze and soft texture. The food largely delivers, but the ambiance left me wanting more. For a concept with so much cultural richness to draw from, the space feels like a missed opportunity. The one exception is the "e" room, an intimate 9-seat chef's experience that is creatively and beautifully decorated. I peeked in but didn't dine there as it runs around $300 to $400 per person. We started with the manchego, and it set a great tone. The raw sheep's milk flavor is tangy and bright, and the young, creamy texture pairs beautifully with the Marcona almonds. Simple and well executed. The Bikini de Jamón y Queso Manchego was one of the highlights of the night. It's a pressed sandwich of Serrano ham, Manchego cheese, and caramelized onions, served with a honey mustard sauce on the side that is excellent. Sounds simple, tastes remarkable. The Cono de Sobrasada is a cute little bite that comes in a crispy brik pastry cone filled with sobrasada Ibérica, a hint of goat cheese, and a drizzle of honey. The honey is essential here because the sobrasada is bold and intense on its own. It's a fun tapa but I expected a little more from it. For tapas, the Berenjenas Fritas a la Malagueña is a must order. Crispy fried eggplant paired with a light yogurt, lemon, and honey espuma that hits a perfect balance of salty and sweet. Don't skip it. The undisputed star of the night was the Gambas al Ajillo. Shrimp sautéed in olive oil, garlic, and chili peppers with an aroma that pulls you in before the plate even lands on the table. Mouthwatering from start to finish. We closed with the Tarta de Queso, a Basque style cheesecake made with goat cheese, finished with honey and salt. I appreciated the concept and I knew going in that this would be nothing like a traditional cheesecake. That said, I've had better versions of this dish elsewhere. This one was slightly overbaked and a touch dry, and the flavor didn't quite reach the depth it promised. Overall a memorable Spanish dinner with some real standouts. Lean into the tapas, order the gambas without hesitation, and save room for the Bikini. Happy hour specials

Stumbled across TRES Social Tapas and glad we did. They have a great happy hour menu and John at…read morethe bar top was awesome. He ran through the food and drink menu and gave great recommendations. Went with the oysters that were great. Bacon wrapped dates that were super tasty. The steak empanadas served with chimichurri sauce. These are a must. Also the Ahi tuna carpaccio that was light and fresh. The staff were all great. Definitely recommend give TRES a try

Returning to Tres Social after six months, I was reminded why this spot is so promising: the menu…read moreremains incredibly exciting, diverse, and original. It's the kind of lineup that genuinely makes you curious to try everything. However, while the potential for a 5-star experience is clearly there, the execution still feels like it's chasing that final "je ne sais quoi." The Highlights: Gambas al Ajillo: Absolutely fantastic. The prawns were expertly cooked, and the brown butter confit garlic provided a rich, perfect complement. Wagyu Burger: Once the kitchen nailed the temperature, this was top-notch. It's a standout dish when executed correctly. The Misses: Consistency: On the first visit, seasoning felt sparse across the board and the empanadas cried out for more sauce options. This time, the pendulum swung the other way with a slightly overcooked and oversalted scallop. Technical Execution: We had to send the burger back; it arrived medium-well despite a medium-rare request. The "Fries": The menu lists truffle fries, but what arrived were essentially homemade chips. While tasty, they don't quite hit the mark if you're expecting a true fry texture. The restaurant is clean, the vibe is right, and the menu is creative enough to keep me coming back. They are so close to being a premier Summerlin destination. Once they tighten up the kitchen consistency and fine-tune those minor execution errors, they'll more than likely hit that 5-star mark.

One of the best overall dining experiences my wife and I have ever had. The staff was attentive and…read morealert. A great atmosphere where you're not on top of the people at the next table. Most importantly the steak was perfect. We had the NY strip and the Filet, which we have had all over the great USA and Echo & Rig is easily in the top 3 may even be #1.

Service was amazing. I can't remember if his name was Darren or Derek and the server assistant…read moreJuan! Love the gin drink called the remedy with lemon and lavender. Super refreshing. Appts were okay....butternut squash was VERY dry. Not like the last time I had it. I tried to ask for extra maple to moisten it but it did not help at all. Didn't even eat it. The cauliflower was good. Nice mix of sweet and spicy. Fried spinach salad is one of my faves! Melts in your mouth and I'm not even a big salad person. And then we tried the shrimp and artichokes. When it came out it was not what we expected. But it ended up being delicious!! Restaurant is classy. Cute outdoor section on the second floor. Floors are always slippery though. Careful in heels! ** only other complaint on the butternut squash is no one asked if everything was okay since the whole dish sat there. I literally ate one piece. We also spoke to a manager about the great service, which I did mention how dry the butternut squash was during the conversation. Apparently offering a different dish or removing the dish and taking it off the check isn't a thing anymore if food isn't up to standards. Or even firing up a new one. A little disappointed about that, but it is what it is.

They also have unlimited drink options but we chose single cocktails- they were delicious. We were seated outside by the pool; it was a bit loud and the service just a tiny bit slow, but we felt like everything was perfect. We tried many small plates- all creative and delicious! Chilequiles, French toast, smoked salmon toasts , Eggs Benedict with beef , chia pudding, tamales, guacamole. We had a few different margaritas which were all delicious. They brought me a shot of pineapple infused tequila as we were celebrating my birthday! Would go back here in a heartbeat!

Overly acidic but still cravable, but no serving spoon.... Queso Fundido was so greasy and hard to actually get a portion you needed the hot spoon it came with, a cerated knife and a fork .. Guacamole... small ... flavorless ... bland and it was not made tableside, service was horrible from the front check in ... Hey it's 110° wanna sit outside?? HELL NO... OK let's sit inside.. smash crash bash bang from whatever they were putting on the elevator. The bloody mary... eh ... not that good at all... watery with some weird heat taste, also service was weird, we had 2 waiters because shifts changed in the first 5 minutes we were there??? What??? Was it because we were told if you order the brunch you both have to order the brunch??? Been to a lot of Mexican restaurants in my life... FOR A BIG SIGN THAT SAYS REAL MEXICAN FOOD this one was just not good at all. Wanted to live this place, but the experience we had nullified that. Just once I would like to hear back from the owners or management
