Delicious we had 5 tapas, drinks and dessert. We'll definitely be back for the paella. Great service, atmosphere. Drinks were delicious.

Empanadas "Short Rib"

TRES was a place I randomly stumbled upon and I'm super glad I did. Finding it initially might be a bit difficult because it's tucked in the corner of a shopping center so you sort of need to know it's there and be looking for it. Once you locate it, it's is a wonderful experience. The ambience when you walk in is warm. There's interesting art and it has a human feel and warmth that I feel a lot of modern restaurants lack. This warmth and humanity extends to the staff and the service. Our server was super attentive, constantly checking in and making sure we were good. The owner even came over and we had a nice chat with him. He even sent over a shot of tequila after, which is always a plus in my books. Overall the food was pretty good. Since it's tapas, I was able to try quite a few things. The two standouts were the oysters, which I believe were Kumamoto & the eggplant. Everything else was enjoyable with the exception of the short rib empanadas. I'm a big empanada person but I felt this was just too flaky and the bread/ meat ratio was off and the sauce didn't really move the needle. Overall I think this is a great spot worth checking out. It's a nice spot for a date night or some other group night where you there is food and conversation . The happy hour menu also seems worth checking out

Came in before going somewhere for dinner. Strong drink, wonderful ambiance and great service all around. Tapas dishes all tasty, flavorful and nice portion specially for appetizers. I feel like I have my money worth. Lamb chops dish definitely my favorite, Spanish octopus and cheese empanada were on point. I had Mexican old fashioned which used tequila and that drink did the job! Try their house wine and won't be disappointed. Their happy hours served wine by the glass and happy hours food at great value. I love their Albarino wine here. Definitely a nice place to hang out and get tipsy with happiness.

Heard good things about this Latin cuisine restaurant and decided to give it a try since it's not far from home. The restaurant is spacious and beautifully decorated. There's also a very nice bar. We ordered a salad, the Chilean Sea Bass, and the Braised Short Rib "Al Vino". Both entrees were absolutely delicious. The Chilean Sea Bass was perfectly cooked, tender, and tasty. The Short Rib was tender and delectable. It came with goat cheese potato purée, port wine shallot, and black truffle. The taste of both entrees had a lot of depth to it. They were really enjoyable. Service was very professional and attentive. Water was always filled without asking. They have a very extensive menu with tapas, paellas, appetizers, soups, salads, empanadas, steaks, seafood, etc., etc. Will need to come back to try their other dishes. This restaurant is a great addition to Summerlin. Prices are also fair and affordable.

I like everything about this place except the kitchen was sslloooww getting food out. We did not order paella this time for entrees but it took just as long to receive the entrées. The charcuterie board with bread came out in reasonable time, but the other hot appetizer took a considerably long time, and the entrées much longer.

Came here for Valentine's Day when they had a fixed menu. We didn't know about the fixed menu but it was tasty and will come back for normal menu. The only thing that was surprising for the price was the dessert was shared between your party and not individual. The service was very slow too and our entrees took an hour to come out, I know it was a holiday and busy but that seemed excessive. Even our waiter kept coming back and promising it was coming soon.

We don't have restaurants in Prtland Oregon that make paella so we looked it up here in Vegas. This place is so good! Definitely recommend. Roasted corn (esquites) were amazing. Paella is the best I've ever had. Forgot to take a photo, but pineapple upside down cake was phenomenal! Service was perfect. Slow but we were not in a hurry.

What a great find!! Located on Sahara in Summerlin, Tres is a Tapas restaurant specializing in Latin cuisine. A unique experience full of flavor, celebrating culinary arts from Spain, Portugal and South America. The restaurant is large and includes dining room and bar seating as well as a patio perfectly situated for people watching and enjoying the weather. The ambiance was inviting while also intimate. Perfect for date night or just an evening out to celebrate a birthday. We ordered several tapas, everything was delicious. The grilled Spanish Octopus and Lamb Chops Maruno were my absolute favorite! Seasoned nicely and cooked to a perfect temperature. We also ordered the Spanish clams and the manager came over to warn us that it'll the broth is cooked with a Spanish sausage that some people might find a bit salty. I am sensitive to sodium/salt but did not find it salty. It was perfect!! Overall, it was an unexpected fabulous night. An added bonus was the service which was excellent! Staff and management were very friendly and took excellent care of us. I will definitely recommend this spot to my friends and colleagues and will be back during the holidays!!

Happy hour menu

Came in during happy hour and sat outside which was pretty nice since it wasn't too hot that day. Our server was so nice and patient with us as we were looking through the menu. Food: Pork belly 5/10: it was okay. Nothing special and it was pretty fatty. The sauce that came with it was a little citrusy sweet. Shrimp 7/10: super fresh and had that firm texture. The flavor tasted Cajun like and came with a lot of flavor. I wish it did come with more shrimp. Beef skewer 9/10 super tender and delicious. The chimichurri it came with was good. I wish there was more flavor in between bites of the meat since it was borderline flavorless in the middle. But I still enjoyed this dish the most. Empanada 10/10! This is prob the best one I've had in awhile. The outside was perfectly crispy and the filling came with good flavor. It also came with its own sauce which I liked. Overall the food was not bad. I was kinda disappointed that they changed their happy hour menu. It use to be 50% off more items but they set it to just certain items now. Service was great tho.

First off let me start off with the why I didn't give 5 stars and go from there. Upon arrival we were seated quickly as we had a reservation but after being seated it felt as we were forgotten as no one came around to ask for our drink orders or apps. Took a while until a waitress came and said I take it you guys have not been attended to which we advised we had not. She quickly got our order, secondly the food took extremely long to come out buuuuuut I will say it was worth the wait because the food was amazing!!! The seafood was fresh and the pork chops were cooked perfectly and with love! The restaurant knew the wait time was over than what it should of been so did apologize and also advised us a item would be removed from the check so that was very much appreciated. Staff was a delight and the dessert was even more delightful

We had a mixed experience last Friday night. My husband and I decided to share several items. Service was slow and we were told after 30 minutes that some of our items were no longer available. It messed up the plan since we were sharing several plates and at that point he would have had to order a main dish. He absolutely loved the muscles (the broth was perfection) and the patatas bravas were perfectly crisp and salted. The seabass looked beautiful but was overcooked and lacked flavor. The manager addressed all our concerns and was very kind.

Tres! Service, churro and happy hour, these three things will keep me coming back again and again. Finally, a tapas spot close to Summerlin. I have been to the Chinatown location before and honestly did not have a huge impression of the food, so I didn't have any expectations coming in. But after one visit to Tres Summerlin, my perspective completely changed. Highly recommend their happy hour. Ambiance (4/5): This used to be the Viva Mercado location. The space is spacious, with a main dining area and a smaller bar section with a few tables. Overall, it does not seem like much renovation was done from the previous restaurant. Service (5/5): I have been here for both happy hour and lunch, and the service was excellent each time. Alejandra was friendly, attentive and a pleasure to chat with. Food (4/5): Some dishes were standouts, while others were less memorable. Overall, the food is fresh and flavorful with great seafood options. * Patatas Bravas (4/5): Flavorful and delicious. * Iberico Dates (3/5): Did not really get the truffle flavor. * Croquetas (1/5): Dense and heavy, nothing like the light and crispy traditional ones, almost falafel-like. * Jumbo Scallops (5/5): Incredible and only $10 during happy hour. * Grilled Octopus (4/5): Tender and flavorful, just $11 during happy hour, an amazing deal. * Anchovy with Pan con Tomate (2/5): Bread lacked the crunch I expect from Spanish-style pan con tomate. * Birria con Huevo (3/5): Brunch item that did not quite hit for me. * Churros (10/10): One of the best in town, crispy outside, soft inside, served with caramel sauce and fresh whipped cream. Absolute heaven. For brunch, they offer bottomless paella for $39, but it cannot be shared and everyone at the table has to order it. We skipped it since we could not eat that much paella, but I am definitely coming back for dinner to try it.

Strawberry Gazpacho

Having been a patron of the restaurant that moved out of the space, I was looking forward to discovering a new place. Upon walking inside, the decor is very beautiful. On this particular evening there was a live musician which is always a nice touch. There were two of us and we decided to sit at the bar. The bartender isn't the fastest to greet you but she was very friendly. Once she made her way down to our seats she was very present. We didn't know what to expect but looking at the menu, there's quite a bit of seafood on it. There's a collection of apps, empanadas, soups, salads and entrees including several paellas which I take to be a feature of the restaurant. I saw the Braised Short Rib Empanadas and decided to start with that. Usually short rib dishes ooze with that stewed flavor and I was excited for it. When it came out, I was a bit disappointed. One empanada was clearly more well done than the other visually. The empanadas are made with a puff pastry. I was hoping the pastry (especially the more well done one) would at least have some crisp but it didn't. The pastry has more of a chewy soggy type of texture. The braised short rib inside lacked a lot of flavor for me. It was a bit bland. What I did like was the side of chimichurri that comes with it. We also tried the Strawbery Gazpacho - which we didn't know what to expect. I could taste the strawberry in it as the flavors merge with the tomato of a gazpacho. It is topped with feta. I would say it was in interesting soup. I probably wouldn't get it again, but kudos for uniqueness and I don't mind that I at least tried it. We didn't try any entrees as my guest isn't much of a seafood person. Again, decor inside is beautiful, nice atmosphere. Based on only two small items tried, it was just alright.

We are from San Diego & LA, came out to Vegas for a three-day class reunion at New Orleans Hotel…read more Our friend gave me a list black owned restaurants. I ended up choosing House of Dutch Pot. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the owner, Oniel, who welcomed us and quickly seated us with menus. He mentioned that he had a large group to serve (about fifteen people) but reassured us that his waitress would be arriving soon. Oniel took the time to explain the menu, and we placed our drink orders--mine was a pineapple and ginger mix, which turned out to be refreshingly unique. It was such a treat to see options beyond the usual sodas and iced teas. Oh my goodness, food was so good!! I got the combo plate, jerk chicken & oxtails, mac n cheese & grilled veggies. I had little bit of mac n cheese left & two pieces of chicken I took w/me, I ate that later. The ambiance was fantastic: beautiful decorations and Caribbean music playing at just the right volume, creating a lively atmosphere without overpowering our conversations. It's always a plus when you don't have to shout over the music. As the evening went on, the waitress and another cook joined, which was perfect timing since six more guests walked in. The waitress was friendly and pleasant, adding to the overall great experience. Oniel includes a little history about his journey on the menu, which is both interesting and inspiring. He runs the place with professionalism, efficiency, and a genuinely pleasant attitude. I highly recommend House of Dutch Pot to anyone visiting Las Vegas. I will definitely be going back when I visit Las Vegas.
