Echo & Rig is my favorite steakhouse in the city. My family and I have made it our favorite place to have a celebratory dinner for any occasion. Our favorites are the ribeye cap, macaroni & cheese and bone marrow carne asada. Came for an early Mother's Day dinner and our waiter Marcos was the sweetest. So attentive and fun. Came for an early dinner at 4:45pm pn Mother's Day. We had a party of 11 and waited maybe 10mins for our table. We have an elderly family member with our party so the elevator was a must for her. The dining room is upstairs only with a small bar on the first foor. The restaurant is located in front of the fountain and near PKWY tavern. There is plenty of parking, especially underground. Which you can get lost in if you don't remember which elevator you came up from. Our waiter was Juan Carlos, I believe. He was good a waiter and a nice guy. The restaurant felt a little too warm that day not sure if the oven and kitchen just took over the air conditioning but it got very warm in there. My husband and I ordered the hanger steak and ribeye cap. My hanger steak seemed more tender and soft compared to his ribeye cap. Or source, we ordered the protebello mushroom fries (which are a must) and calamari. I also ordered a lemo drop martini which was good as it was a little heavy on the vodka side. Overall this restaurant is a good place for steaks but remember they always seem to cook it on the medium rare side, so for well done or more cooked steaks send it back to the grill for longer cooking. read more

We celebrated my birthday dinner here with my family, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We made a reservation for five people, and our server, Philip, took great care of us throughout the entire evening. We started with appetizers--two orders of calamari and the portobello fries. The portobello fries were so good that we ended up ordering another round! For our main course, we shared a large tomahawk steak, along with mac and cheese and a Caesar salad. Everything was delicious and well-prepared. To top it all off, they surprised me with a complimentary caramel toffee ice cream dessert with a lighted candle for my birthday. Oh first let me say I'm sorry I thought I already posted a review on echo and rig , but somehow it got deleted. I want to give a big shout out to Darren and Jose. Upon arriving, the hostesses were very courteous as I was waiting for my daughter to park the car. They offered me a seat to wait for her as they can see I was disabled upon going upstairs. Once my daughter arrive and being sat we were looking at the menu deciphering what we were gonna have. Jose came over and offered water. He was very kind and throughout the night we watched him working so hard throughout the room, he never stopped with a smile on his face at all times he was pretty blessing, tables, refilling water, and assisting in any way he could what an outstanding team member he is and I hope that the management recognizes that. Our server Darren was extremely knowledgeable and extremely aware of his surroundings. I was absolutely impressed on how he was waiting on another table engaging with these two gentlemen as a woman walked by and he moved his arm backwards and pulled out her chair for her at the table behind him without breaking a beat engaging with the other people, I've never seen a server pull out a chair for a woman which was very impressive. Also, the way he carries drinks on the tips of his fingers. Oh my goodness it was a dinner and a show. And again I hope management understands. what a great server they have with him as he was very informed of very kind, very patient didn't make us feel like we were being rushed just amazing all around. After a long time debating on coming back here. I gave it another shot. Management is still different , majority of people are new. Everyone else left.. but the Host Luka was still there and she remembered me from over a year ago, and was very respectful and sweet, she made me feel comfortable, because I was really not wanting to come back here at all.. She's known me for quite a bit when I used to come often in the past. Taylor the manager introduced herself & was also checking in making sure all was good. Hospitality this time was a bit better & positive. One thing I really did not enjoy was a remark from my waiter was that apparently what my situation I went through of not being at the establishment was being laughed amongst each other as I was told.. because apparently he knew the waiter that helped me before that's not professional on my end nor something you should tell a customer. It should be kept to yourself on that aspect.. it was a serious matter on my end and to be looked at as a joke even though it's not meant in harm still shouldn't have been said. I'm looking forward and expecting the same hospitality of atmosphere as I got yesterday, minus the laughing jabs of a serious situation, for my next visit. People don't understand that food isn't number one it's HOSPITALITY!!! How you're treated and greeted once you're in the establishment is the impression... We had made reservations online the night before and walked in about 1:30 on Sunday after doing the loop at Red Rocks. We were surprised it wasn't packed but it was almost time for brunch to be finished. When you walk in the front door don't let it fool you. As we were taken upstairs to be seated it got loud. Almost too loud actually. I wasn't sure about this pick but my sister-in-law was really excited about it. This place and the food changed my mind. We laced our orders and the food came in a reasonably quick amount of time. It looked great and was equally delicious! Everyone loved what they got. I took a bit of my nieces French toast which was so thick and tasty. How they get that cooked without being soggy is beyond me. My sister-in-law had steak frites which she enjoyed. My son got the Cuban sandwich. They warned him there were a lot of pickles on it and they were not lying. The pickles thankfully are tasty so it was a good thing. The homemade chips were great with it. I had the Short Rib Hash and I can see why it's one of their most popular items. It was amazing. Perfect mix of ingredients with proportionately appropriate amounts of each. The meat was so tender. I was glad they didn't skimp on it. Delicious! Would I come back here again? Definitely! I'm so glad they turned a bit sure about it stop into a happy to be so full meal. I got a piece of their cake to go. This was the first time I have eaten at echo and rig. My friend hosted her birthday brunch here. The restaurant was very fancy and clean. The waiter was so nice and was checking on us periodically. For a drink, I ordered the seasonal sangria which was an apple sangria. I've never had an apple sangria and it exceeded my expectations. For my entrée, I ordered the Montecristo sandwich. Came here for a birthday brunch. What I thought was great was instead of unlimited mimosas - its just $20 for a bottle with pineapple, orange and white peach juice that you make. This was my third visit to Echo & Ring, and I'm happy to say the quality of the food and the consistency of the service have both remained excellent. Given the upscale location and the valet-parked cars out front, you might expect a stuffy, high-end steakhouse. It's not. While it's certainly a white-tablecloth establishment, it's refreshingly approachable. You can get a fantastic 8oz filet for around $50 -- a genuine bargain compared to many other steakhouses in town. The service is genuinely friendly, and they never let your water glass go empty. One of the best features is the fantastic patio that overlooks the main entrance, giving you a perfect view of the beautiful Tivoli Village fountain and its lighting display. The only minor downside is that an occasional loud car driving by can disrupt the ambiance. They always start you off with drinks and warm bread served with whipped butter. If you order a salad to share, they'll thoughtfully plate it for two. All steaks come with chips, but there are plenty of excellent sides to choose from as well. This time, I ordered the filet again -- perfectly cooked medium-rare (is there any other way?) -- and my wife had the salmon. Both were delicious. The salmon had that wonderful wood-plank flavor you can really taste. For sides, we went with the mashed potatoes and the broccolini, both of which were divine. Came in for happy hour! This place has the best happy hour in my opinion... if you can get a seat! The bar area is pretty small and fills up fast! The menu has been pretty consistent since we've been coming, the food offerings are the same and always delicious! The hot dog is an elevated version and is amazing! The fries are good with a glaze and steak ( more like burnt ends) on them and the steak and egg is amazing! The drink specials are some of the best in Vegas! On a night when I just wanted a snack to share, we stopped in at Echo and Rig and for the first time, elected to sit at the bar which is right inside the front entrance. College sports was on and I had a good view of the TV at my bar seat. The bar area not only has seats at the bar itself, but a table or two within the same area. The bartenders are very nice and friendly. They take good care of you from start to finish. We tried their Espresso Martini which was pretty good! Next we shared a burger which is the reason it was already cut in half. I hadn't tried their burger before and was conflicted if I would order medium - as other steakhouses a medium could come out quite rare still. After speaking with the bartender in gauging how their medium would be, we opted for medium well to get the pink, but not the bloody red. After getting the burger, I would say one half was a good pink but the other half was more medium well for sure which made it more dry. For sure, I would order the burger at medium next time. We ordered a Crab Benedict, one crab cake, thick cut bacon, portobello fries, lemon ricotta pancakes and regular fries. It was all pretty good although it took a while to get everything. My boyfriend and I just recently went to Echo and Rig for our anniversary dinner. We both got the Spencer. For the sides, we got the fingerling potatoes, roasted broccolini, and macaroni and cheese. I got the chimichurri sauce (amazing) which was soo good with my off the grill cocktail! My boyfriend got the charred onion sauce. He said he would probably try something different next time. The hostess provided any accommodations if needed as the eating area is upstairs. Once seated, the indoor eating area looks nice. You can see the kitchen area and each table has ample space. I started with the fried olives and bbq pork belly and both were absolutely delicious. I liked the olives a bit more, if you're not an olive lover you may still like these. I was saddened they had run out of the ribeye cap by 5pm and our reservation was at 7:30pm but I still had a different ribeye that was cooked to perfection. They have complimentary valet parking right outside and you enter into their lobby area that includes a full bar and butcher shop. You can purchase different cuts to take home and all their meats are very reasonably priced. They have seating upstairs as well as an outdoor patio area. Our server was very professional and friendly and made great recommendations. Their menu is quite extensive and there were so many different sides to pick from. We ended up ordering a tomahawk steak to share along with a few sides and oysters. Oh the best part is the offer complimentary corkage! Well, I will start out by saying we were promptly seated upon our arrival at the time we had reserved. Once seated, we were provided water almost immediately followed shortly thereafter by a basket of bread. The bread had good flavor, but was served cold. Warm bread would've been easier to spread the butter on and would've been easier to chew. The waiter was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful from the beginning. He explained that the small plates were more than enough for two people to share and gave some very useful information on the different sizes of the cuts of meat. We opted to split the Greek salad as a starter, which was phenomenal. The chicken was cooked to perfect perfection with great flavor. The Mrs. opted for the Bronzino, which neither one of us had ever had before and I chose the ribeye cap, which was billed as the best part of the ribeye. When I told the waiter I wanted the steak cooked "medium", he let me know that they have a tendency to cook their meat a little more rare than most other places. Figuring he knew best, I ordered it "medium well". The food was brought to the table in the amount of time you would expect for a restaurant of this caliber. The Bronzino was served without bones and was absolutely mouthwatering. The ribeye cap was probably the best tasting steak I've ever had. It was cooked exactly how the waiter described it would be. That's where the five star review ends and the three star review takes over. Right after the food came out the waiter stopped by and asked if everything "looked perfect". We confirmed it looked great and that was the last we saw of him. It was almost as if we disappeared. He spent plenty of time visiting the other tables around us and chatting it up with the other guests, but never came back to check on us. We contemplated getting dessert and another round of beverages, but the more time went by without the waiter coming back to the table the more disinterested we got. He eventually brought a dessert menu, but disappeared again. At that point, we opted to call it a night and ask for the check, which we had to get by waving at the waiter who was a few tables away, chatting it up with other guests. The atmosphere, the food, and the initial service were absolutely incredible. Once the food hit the table, the service became abysmal. This is definitely not a "one and done", but an encore of the poor service could be enough to keep us away for good. read more

Actually haven't been here for several years, no particular reason to avoid it, just hadn't been back. We were invited for brunch today. Our reservation was for 12:00 but we got there early and walked around outside... all the shops were still closed, but there was plenty of sidewalk cafe action on this fairly warm day. We went in and met our hosts for the brunch invite and were seated promptly. The server team was pretty professional and on point. So we ordered some small plates for the table to start, watermelon salad, potato pancakes and a side of sourdough toast and a side of house potatoes . For mains, we had French toast, steak frites, chicken and waffles and the farmers breakfast.... So.... The watermelon salad was good, the potatoes were quarter pieces of potatoes browned and crispy, the sourdough was pretty standard. The potato pancakes were thick rounds of shredded potatoes, very crispy (almost overdone) served with a ramekin of creme fresh and applesauce. (Not like mama made) Mains.... The French toast was thick slices of bread and apparently tasted good because they were inhaled by the one who ordered them. The farmers breakfast was interesting, all veggies, root carrots (almost overdone) and I guess it could be called a semi vegetarian dish and was served with two poached eggs. The chicken and waffle plate I think was the clear winner. A huge thick waffle with a mound of chicken tender sized pieces on top. Sweet and hot sauce for dipping. I ordered the steak frites about an 8 ounce steak, cooked medium (the only way it was prepared according to our server). Served with two eggs and some skinny fries. I am used to that dish being served with either steak fries or something a bit more substantial. These looked like typical fast food fries. A small tureen of béarnaise sauce was included. The steak was good, the eggs done they way I wanted, and the béarnaise sauce was ok, not too thick. We opted not to order dessert. A pretty decent brunch was had by all. read more

I've been to Echo & Rig four times, and somehow each visit felt like my first. The first three were "trial runs" with different dates, and the fourth was with my wife but let's keep that between us. This was a celebration dinner and I'd never been to the restaurant before. I ordered the crab cake, it was frozen in the center. We got one of these specialty drinks and that was the best thing of the night. I ordered a ribeye, medium rare and the garlic mashed potatoes. The steak was the right color but the steak itself was not hot as I'd expect. The mashed potatoes were obviously premade and kept at a cooler temp than I prefer. All around a very disappointing meal. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was nice but not enough for a $188 meal when the food was off. My friend ordered the salmon and she enjoyed it.
