Equipment used was brand new with cool features like a screen showing underground low voltage and irrigation lines to prevent any damage to the yard. EXCELLENT! The BEST! Had Mike come out with his "Big Bertha" master stump grinder machine on a flatbed trailer and he took out six (6) old boxwood hedges stumps in my front yard. Mike and his son use large 6' x 8-10' plywood boards to keep the wood chips from flying all over the place--GREAT! This avoids having a mess from the stumps removal. I texted him photos of the stumps to be removed with diameters/measurements, and he called me back within a couple hours with a quote and scheduled me for the next couple days promptly. Thanks for coming out the same day. I sent some pictures via text with the general size/shape of the stumps to remove. They were very small (about 6-8" diameter). Roots were pretty intricate though. He called and we agreed on price. He came out today (same day) and about 45 minutes after the call he arrived. Removed them as agree and the pricing is very good. I wish other small businesses helped with small jobs like mine. I've found it is hard to support Sacramento small businesses because they all have a job minimum. I get there are certain costs but any wise business could find when their "people" would be in an area and then work in having someone go by for work/estimate for jobs of smaller scope.... As in this example.... it would have taken me time to rent the equipment good enough to get the job done and then I would have been trying to figure out the equipment. He was very careful to make sure his machine would make it through our gate, let me know what might get broken if I didn't move it (I moved it ASAP), and then removed seven small stumps for me in about an hour. I have already recommended him to several friends, and wholeheartedly endorse him for your stump removal needs! Things to know: - You need minimum 36 inches clear width along the whole path the machine needs to move through. - Remove your stumps before doing other projects if you can (Mike is so fast, you have a good chance to get it done!) - The machine weights 1000 lbs, so if you have nice hardscape, it may need to be removed and replaced, or could get cracked (good luck!) read more

They texted me the day of and let me know they were running a little behind which was fine because they were already scheduling me in so quickly.
