Amazing experience from start to finish! The team did an excellent job cutting our trees, and their prices were very reasonable. Everyone was super nice, professional, and respectful. They also did a great job cleaning up after the work was completed, which I really appreciated. Everything was left looking neat and clean. I would definitely recommend this tree-cutting company to anyone looking for quality work. Great service! read more

I contacted this company to get an estimate for tree work on my property. My first impressions were quite positive: the estimator arrived early, texted me to inform me of his arrival, and provided thoughtful feedback regarding the work we needed to have done as we walked around the property. He informed me that a detailed estimate would be sent to me via text message later in the day/week and just as promised, I received it within hours after his departure. So what went wrong? Lack of follow through. I replied to the initial estimate indicating that I would need time to review the bid and would get back to him shortly. I received no reply, but that's OK as a reply to such a message is not necessary. After reviewing the estimate, I followed up with several questions, but never heard back. This is not OK as it prohibits us from moving forward. It is not clear to me why a company would take the time to provide an estimate if they are not willing to follow up with their customers. It is a waste of their time and the customer's, does not reflect well upon the company, and results in the loss of future referrals. If the company is too busy, would much rather have them state that they are inundated with jobs at the moment and cannot take on additional contracts until xx weeks or months rather than taking my time for a useless estimate. In the end, a different company provided an estimate later in the week and was hired for the job instead. read more

I didn't even hire this company. They parked in front of my house and blocked my driveway. Didn't care that they blocking my driveway! Who does this? Back it up 15 feet! Then they grinding up the stupid palm trees and made a big mess in front of my house. Wood chip and dust everywhere. All over my car and porch. Had to spend 30 minutes cleaning up something I didn't even do! Could have cleaned up the mess. But to block my driveway and not care about the mess. Get out of here! read more

Environmental Tree Service - Blocking my driveway - Tree Services Near Me - Sacramento, California

We had to trim a sycamore tree in our front yard that was starting to overhang over our house and the street, which made a huge mess in our backyard since the leaves would blow over the house. When I contacted Environmental Tree Service, they had a prompt response and came within a few days after my request. The initial quote was free, and Jeremiah was great at answering all of my questions and amenable to the trim I wanted. After, he sent a quote very quickly and broke the cost down. He was also pretty flexible since I changed the quote a few times. On the day of the service, they were quick, efficient and kept my yard/house safe. They did a great job trimming our tree and I am so happy that I have this huge stress off my shoulders. read more

Well, I can't really give a review on their actual tree service. However, I can definitely give you a review on their communication. They reached out to me with a random text asking if I would like a quote on tree trimming. I said yes and explained what I needed trimmed. Three hours later I get a text asking if I still wanted the estimate, again I responded yes. And then they ghosted me,,, I have sent three follow up text with zero responses. So I doubt they will be getting any of my business. read more

We have used this service 3 times over many years. They are efficient, in time and money ... And our yards look great.

They were very professional and meeting all my expectations and were very well priced. The scope of work was tree trimming along a property fence line as well as a palm tree removal. Their team worked fast and did an excellent job clearing all the debris. I highly recommend. read more

We've used this company for palm tree trim and removal. They show up on time and even early sometimes. They protected our yard and cleaned up everything before they left. Max came right over. He was on time and honest. He told us we didn't need to cut down the hackberry in front of our house, and he referred us to another company for fertilizing the tree. I was so happy to keep the 80 year old tree that shades my house and to not have another huge bill. I can't recommend Max enough! Great guy! read more

Excellent job! Environmental Tree Service just finished cutting down and removing a 30' tall, dead :'( red maple tree from the front yard of our South Sacramento home. Francis led a team of 2 men, Mike and Jose in the cutting and removal. They were professional, fast, and courteous. In addition, their price was quite reasonable. We highly recommend Environmental Tree Service. read more

They were very responsive, not just with the initial contact, but throughout the project. The arborist was very knowledgeable about the type of tree in question, and recommended removing it completely instead of continuing to trim it away from the roof. They scheduled the work promptly, came out when promised, and the bill was reasonable, and as-quoted. It was gone... literally, without a trace. I'm out of the area, and all this was done remotely from my end. Doesn't get any better. Thank you! read more

Tree maintenance/pruning. The estimator came out, on time, good communication. I got a fair estimate with preference to my schedule. The estimate was in writing and I was able to respond on line. Their crew showed up early, with permission, and was conscientious to do the work and clean up afterward. I am very happy with the results and the service I received. read more

Highly recommend Environmental Tree Services if you're looking to cut or trim your trees or if you have any questions related to trees. I gave them a call and was able to make an appointment for someone to come take a look at our redwood tree that needed pruning. Jeremiah was on time and super friendly and knowledgeable. He answered all our questions and sent us the quote the same day. Mostly communicated with him through text. On the day of the scheduled work, a crew of 3 people arrived on time and went to work asap. They were efficient and cleaned up everything. Price was reasonable. Also, learned a lot about redwood trees. Thanks!! read more

Sorry ahead of time for the long read. We recently bought our home and wanted to clean up the cypress we have in the backyard. We decided to go with this company because of all the great reviews. Jeremiah had come for a consultation and seemed very knowledgeable. We spoke about reshaping the trees to clear them of the vines entwined to make them healthy, while keeping them pointy and keeping the height. We spoke about possibly reducing the height but since he said the power lines shouldn't be a problem then we said we weren't worried. The day arrives to get the work done and it's two gentlemen. Neither were Jeremiah but that was fine. He had texted me, day of, saying they had a scheduling issue so he wasn't going to be there. No biggy. We showed the guys the gate, the trees and left them to it. Now we go to check in after a little while and unfortunately see that they've cut them much shorter than we discussed and just chopped them flat at the top. Neither is what we said we wanted so my husband went out to explain and hopefully remedy. There was a bit of a language barrier so we got Jeremiah on the phone to try and help. The fourth tree they were able to cut nicely, albeit still shorter than we wanted but at this point we figured we can try to somewhat match the height of the other 3 that were lopped off. It at least looked better and more like what we wanted. We brought up trimming the sides so the vines weren't connected too, since it was something we had discussed with Jeremiah, but this seemed to only further upset the workers. They were clearly irritated with us even though we were only trying to communicate what we wanted. Once we saw that they started butchering the last (worked on) tree leaving literal bare sticks, we agreed to just have everything stop at that point. What we wanted was nothing out of the ordinary but it became such a bebaccial. I gave videos of before and after to Jeremiah and he did apologize for the confusion and work done. He offered to reschedule when he could be there or to just find someone else and no charge. We reached out a couple days later to say we would like to work out a new deal on the situation but it's been 3 days and haven't heard a thing. So we're assuming he's just wiping his hands clean with this one. I wish we could've had a better outcome but here we are. Can't say I can recommend their service after this. read more

I reached out to Environmental Tree Service regarding the removal of a tree. Jeremiah came out to provide me with an estimate for the removal of an unwell pecan tree which was infringing upon my neighbor's roof. He was professional and represented the company well. Estimate was consistently priced with other companies estimates. He told me he'd email me a written estimate later in the afternoon which he did. I selected Environmental Tree Service for my needs because of Jeremiah's customer service, can do attitude, the price and timeliness of scheduling the job. Jeremiah and the crew did not disappoint. The crew arrived on time, ready to work. The lead guy identified himself, again very professional, and the crew immediately got to work. They were quick, tidy and unless you'd seen the tree you'd never know they'd been there. The tree and all remnants were cleaned up. The second crew, the stump grinders, arrived an hour before I was told they would. They were also professional and hustled to get the job done. They completed the grinding, blew out my backyard and removed any signs of Environmental Tree Service or their staff having been there. I look forward to using this company again, soon, to prune some trees in my front yard. Great big thank you to Jeremiah and all who helped with my job. You guys are great! read more

Spoke with Jeremiah who consulted what he can do and set up the schedule. It was sprinkling on the first day and then a downpour on the second appointment but his guys were on time and still able to complete the jobs. They took down the front yard magnolia with stump and the camphor with stump in the back. Job was split between two days (cutting down and then stump removals) and both his teams were on time and friendly. Jeremiah was open for any questions and quick to reply on text if he wasn't able to pick up on the phone. read more

Tree trimming. They were quick, efficient and friendly. Responsive to my questions. Cleaned up the residual leaves and branches quite well and as promised. Also they were the least expensive of the three tree companies I reached out to for estimates. read more

Great experience taking down a dying 50ft Modesto elm. Very efficient quote process, great value, quick scheduling, team five guys showed up and had my tree down and mulched in less than an hour. There are not enough words to describe how good this tee service is. Jeremiah came yesterday and gave me an estimate. He called later in the day and said they could come today. They pruned trees ,took out dead bushes and cleaned every bit of the yard. They made sure none of the debris was in neighbors yards. AND their prices are excellent. Jeremiah should be elected employee of the year. read more

We had a 75-foot tall tulip poplar removed last week from our back yard. It was a big project with 3 or 4 workers each day. The work was overseen by Jeremiah and Francis, both of whom are completely bilingual, making communication easy. They and the other workers are fine men and the job was done well. The site was cleaned up at the end of every work day, which was much appreciated. At the end of the removal, the stump was ground down for hours, leaving a well-finished job. read more

Jeremiah gave us a quote for $850 to remove a tall queen palm, a fat windmill palm, and three tall privet / laurel bushes including stump grinding. He had a higher price than some other quotes, but sooner availability. They did a good job, I'll just say that if you have a drip system around your trees, it will be cut with removals, it's unavoidable. We knew we would have to rework the irrigation afterwards anyway. Although the stump grinder put up a particleboard barrier, some of the wood chips still got in our pool - again, hard to avoid. I would use them again. read more

Fantastic company. They really care about trees. Gave me free advice, didn't try to sell any services. I really liked them.

Of all the tree service companies I've used over the years, this was one of THE best experiences I've had from the quoting all the way to tree removal. The quote seemed very far and scheduling was quick to follow. The crew that came out, had great customer service skills and they also fixed the drop line I had which had to be cut for the tree removal. I've never had another company take care of such things. Very happy and happily recommend. read more

We had a tree branch break, landing on another branch, breaking that one too. Environmental Tree Service was able to come out the next day and safely remove the impacted branches and did some cleanup on a few other branches. They were responsive, stood by their quote (no upselling), and left my yard cleaner than when they started. Fantastic service by the owner and his crew. read more

I had an excellent experience with Environmental. The person who came out to give me a quote was very professional and friendly. He helped educate me on the process and the timeline for the work I requested. My quote was significantly lower than two other tree services. Crews arrived on time, work was done quickly, and they cleaned up so that my yard was in fantastic shape by the time they left. I will absolutely call them again for tree work! read more

This is the second time we had our trees trimmed by Environmental Tree Services and again they did a fantastic job! We have two enormous liquid amber trees in the front yard with a history of dropping branches in the summer heat. Well, this summer they did it again! The difference was, the prior time we had the trees trimmed, we used someone else... lesson learned. We called ETS back and they gave us a reasonable quote -- including a returning customer discount -- and while it was not the lowest estimate, it also was not the highest. They gave us a fair quote for the amount of work and we knew they would do a quality job. The two liquid ambers were done so well -- thinned and shaped without hacking off branches or topping -- they look beautiful and the wind now moves through them without threatening to break anything! Special appreciation for the crew: Francisco, Diego, Chino, and Mikey! They were fabulous, taking their time while also working skillfully and quickly, cleaning up everything, the trees in the back and front are much better now! Highly recommend them! read more

This is the second time I've had Environmental Tree Service take care of the big trees in our yard. The first time they came out several years ago, they recognized a fault in a large tree limb that would likely have fallen on our garage in the very near future. They pointed out the area of concern and we could not believe we had not noticed. They made arrangements in their schedule to take care of that limb as well as the rest of our trees right away. In addition to that tree, they also thinned out two big fruitless mulberries. Initially we were concerned that they had trimmed too much but in the Spring, the trees budded and filled in beautifully - as did our walnut trees. On this recent visit, Jeremiah came out, walked the yard with us, advised us on the condition of our trees and made recommendations accordingly. He was very knowledgeable about the types of trees and what was needed to help them stay healthy. We received his estimate just shortly after his visit and made arrangements for the work to be completed. The crew, Diego, Francisco and LaLo, arrived on time and got right to work. Jeremiah stopped by about midway through the work to evaluate the progress. Even though the mulberries were again extensively thinned out, we were not concerned this time having gained trust in their expertise and experience. The crew also did a great job cleaning up the yard and debris after they finished up. Diego, the crew lead, checked in to see if we would walk the yard to be sure we were happy with their work or if there was more we would like them to take care of. Really nice, hardworking guys. Super pleased. We did not get other estimates so I am not sure how they compare price wise - but after talking with neighbors, their prices seem reasonable. Highly recommend their service! read more

I had 3 tree companies provide quotes to remove a tall palm tree that was in between a fence and power lines. I selected Environmental Tree Service for one large reason - they had the right equipment to do it. Go check out their website, which has videos of their equipment in action. My favorite was the wood mover (no idea what it's actually called), but it was fun to watch in person as they used it to move the big pieces into the truck. And the crane was huge! The crew was right on time and super efficient, they had our large tree down in just over an hour. They didn't get anything on any of our neighbors' yards and they didn't block our narrow street. My driveway and front porch (which was not near the tree) were completely cleaned before they left. They also cleaned up anything fell in the street (even little tiny stuff). The stump grinder came by a couple days later, and then he cleaned my driveway and front porch again. Their quote came in the middle of the other two quotes. Jeremiah, who provided the quote, noticed a baby palm off my driveway and offered to take that out for free. Jeremiah was very responsive to my texts and answered any questions I had. I really appreciate all the customer service extras this company provided. I will hire them again! read more

We had Environmental Tree Service trim our fruitless mulberry and Chinese pistache trees. Both are mature large trees that get pruned about every 5 years. We looked specifically for tree service companies with arborists on staff as bidders. Environmental Tree Service was prompt with an appointment for a free estimate. Once we decided to go with them, they were able to schedule the work in about 2 weeks. The crew was professional and efficient. They selected the limbs to cut with care. The trees no longer so overgrown. I think we got good value for the amount of work completed. We would recommend them for similar work. read more

Definitely recommend. Very professional, quote was competitive. They trimmed and shaped all of our trees, they look great!

First of all, Jeremiah, the estimator was wonderful to work with. I really felt that he would take good care of what I needed to get done. He instilled confidence and trust. So happy I hired them to do this job. The workers arrived, as scheduled, and began cutting down our Chinese Tallow and a Tupelo trees in our front yard. I was amazed at how professional and efficient they were, and the teamwork...OMGosh. A couple days later, due to the weather, they came back and grinded the stumps just as requested. I am totally satisfied with Environmental Tree Service. I have already referred them to a friend and even a landscaper that I know. Thank you so much Jeremiah and Crew! I wish you well. Requested a quote to have a couple of trees pruned back at our new home. Received a call back immediately and was able to get an appointment within a couple of days. Jeremiah came over and was very thorough and knowledgeable about what needed to be done. My husband went to show him another tree that needed pruning and found out the tree was dying and needed to be removed. He gave us an estimate and the price was extremely reasonable! We went ahead and scheduled the appointment for 2 weeks out. Jeremiah reached out on Tuesday and said he had an opening and asked if we wanted an earlier appointment. We needed to still buy a replacement tree and we hadn't done so yet. He was nice enough to go get the tree we wanted from the nursery and brought it here. Now that is service!!!! The crew promptly started at 8am and were here until about 2pm. They trimmed 3 trees, removed one, grounded down 2 stumps, and planted a new tree. Thank you Jeremiah and your crew for a great job! You were a pleasure to do business with and will recommend you to anyone who needs an arborist. read more

All I can say is that Environmental Tree Service did a awesome job in removing my tree that was in the front yard, they were here on time "group # 1" cut the the down and hauled everything out to the curb. The second worker came with his machine and loaded that tree up and hauled it away. The third worker came out the next day and grind the stump and took all of that away and cleaned up. Everyone cleaned up when they got done, like I said they did an awesome job at a good price. I would definitely recommend this company. read more

We had them come and remove 3 trees from our yard, they gave us a good price and we went with them, but we had asked for the tree trunks to be left behind for our woodworking projects, and he had said he could do that (in writing in text) but when they came and did their work and left, they had left us two 3 feet long logs from two 20-25 ft trees!!! They just threw the whole thing in the chipper. Wood that could have been used. What's so environmental about that? I was so upset, and note this is hardwood we're talking about. So we called them, and Jeremiah said he would bring an equivalent amount of wood to us which makes it better. But my heart still feels pain. The only way I was keeping myself somewhat ok with getting rid of two trees, was that we were going to use its wood and they were not going to die in vain, which unfortunately they did. read more

Jeremiah and his team did a great job on the removal of our large diseased front yard tree. Sorry to see it go, but it was necessary. The team arrived on time, and quickly began to remove the tree.
