Tony, Ted and crew just finished removing a 110 foot redwood tree from our front yard. Their bid was very reasonable and they completed the job in two days per the contract. It was a sincere pleasure to work with this professional company, and highly recommend them for tree removal. Denny L. read more

Came next day after first call to do estimate. Had them cut down a dead, 30 year old redwood tree. Loved that tree but had to cut down for safety reasons. Also had them trim oak tree in the front. They did a great job at a fair price. Will use their services in the near future. read more

Tony and his team did a fantastic job. We recently moved to a 1 acre home with several large oak trees that needed to be pruned. Their prices were very reasonable. Their team showed up when promised and finished as promised. The trees look great! We would highly recommend and will use again in a few years when our trees need trimming. read more

Contacted the owner to set up an at home consultation. I just needed a few bushes removed and tree trimmed. At first things were going smoothly, I gave a few time slots that worked but then I never heard back. All my messages have been left on "read". I'm more than willing to update my review if I ever get serviced but for now it's hard to rate a business that's unreachable. -Update Just as I posted the review, I got a knock on my door to do the at home consultation. Very friendly and professional, even though I opted not to go with their services I'd recommend them to come look at your property. read more

They were great! A tree blew down in the New Years storm and they came in at the lowest quote by far of all the tree services on yelp that I contacted. He was responsive and did the job quick and clean. Highly recommend! read more

Appt at 11am, 11:30am no phone call, I texted through yelp, said on their way and ar 12:15pm still nowhere to be found. Then quotes me $1,350 for two trees that barely has any branches. I had four trees that had full crowns taken (leaving stumps) for $1,100 taken out. Way over priced. Waste of time. Appt obligations not honored--at least call people as people have lives, a job, and kids to take care of. Its basic customer service. Mind you, I did get quotes from a bunch more companies and I did give them a good review as they gave me a ballpark without wasting both our times and for the ones who came over, they were on time. Btw, I didn't say my budget was $500. When I git your quote, I politely said "no thank you" and asked why I said I got a quote for $500-600 to remove two trees and leave stump and btw they too are licensed so don't slander others without knowing who the business was. Not only that, when I inquired, I specifically asked for two quotes (stump/no stump) and repeated myself at the house yet you were telling my husband something else--trying to play us off each other to get him to sign up with you guys. That's underhanded and messing with people's marriages causing strife. So yes, I posted this bad review. I also posted good reviews who gave me a ballpark or came over for the quotes. Look it up. read more

Sacramento Valley Tree Services - $1,350 for two trees. Even if stump its still $1,200. No thank you! Doesn't come at appt time or call if gonna be late. Bad business. - Tree Services Near Me

Sacramento Valley Tree Services had very competitive prices. We went with them based on the professionalism Tony Demonstrated to us and of course the price. The only reason not 5 stars was the lack of cleanup after the stump was grinder. There were wood chips all over the place. It didn't take long to clean up, but they could have done a better job cleaning up. Over-all, I would recommend them. read more

They were personable and so friendly from the get go. As a new homeowner I needed to get some things fixed since the previous occupants were renters. I had an ugly tree and he was nice enough to give me tips to cut down the whole tree instead of just pruning it. And I agree it looks much better. I will 100% be giving them my future business for trimming and some other work I need. Highly recommend. read more

A friend recommended Teodoro and I messaged via their website and received a call the same day from Antonio. They came out within a day or two and gave me a VERY reasonable price on several trees to be removed and stumps ground down. Some of these trees were growing into power lines which was no problem for Teodoro and his guys. He is a very sweet man and knows what he is doing. He gets the job done well, is fast, and cleans up all the debris (even used the leaf blower on my entire driveway! Thanks for that, by the way!!)! I've included photos of our palm being taken down, Teodoro is amazing! This thing was 50-60ft tall (taller than the telephone polls). It was amazing watching him work!! read more

I had an appointment scheduled for an estimate a week ago for 10 am. I messaged at 11 am and he said he would be there in 30 more min and he did arrive at 1130. He said he would email estimate out that night and its been a week and I still have not received anything. I messaged twice over the days and he said he would send it but still nothing. then on the 10th I messaged and no response after reading. On New Year's Eve we had a large tree in our front yard fall and land on our two vehicles parked in the driveway, blocking both from being able to use. I called Sacramento Valley Tree Services Inc. at 11 pm New Year's Eve expecting to leave a message on an answering machine. But to my surprise, not only did Tony actually answer the phone, but he scheduled an appointment to come out the next morning at 7:30 am so we could get our cars out. He and his crew arrived promptly at 7:30 am as promised, quickly evaluated the situation and gave us a fair quote for the work to be done. They had the tree carefully removed from the cars, cut up, chipped, and yard cleaned up quickly. My husband and I were very pleased with their work , their professionalism, and price. We would highly recommend them for any of your tree needs. read more

I hired Sacramento Valley Tree Services in 2020 when I needed 2 untrimmed palm trees removed in my neighbor's backyard. I was in need of a tree service once again and I gave Antonio a call. A neighbor was haphazardly removing branches from the trees, and it compromised the rest of the tree. Antonio gave me an estimate yesterday and had time to come and remove the two trees today. They made quick work of the trees and did an excellent job of removing all of the debris. I would highly recommend Sacramento Valley Tree Service. They are the first company I will call anytime I need tree service. read more

At first I had quick communication with this tree service. I scheduled an appointment. Easy. Then, no one showed up for the appointment, and no one called to let me know the appointment had been canceled. I reached out to the company and didn't receive a response. I'm not sure what happened, possibly a miscommunication. Will update this review if I hear from them. read more

Spoke to Tony on a Wednesday morning and had Theo (Tony's Dad) out by 1pm the same day to take a look at the job and give an estimate. I was visiting my senior Dad from out of town and realized he had some issues with the house needing to be addressed immediately. I used Yelp to try to find a local, family owned company who I felt would do a good but reasonably priced job since my Dad is on a fixed income. He had several trees/bushes that needed to be cut back but my Dad was concerned the trees would be hacked up or some of his flower planters would be damaged. Theo came out and made us both feel like we were in experienced and trustworthy hands. Theo's quote for the job was more than fair. There were 3 large trees that needed to be cut back from the roof and wires but Theo also noted another tree that was starting to hang too low over the street as well as a couple of bushes that were getting pretty wild. He offered to trim back those without any additional charge! Such a sweet guy. Theo and two other kind gentlemen arrived right when they said they would and worked solid for several hours. My father had an old, large mental antenna on his roof that I have been concerned about so I asked if while they were cleaning off the roof (that was covered in tree droppings even prior to the trimming) if they could possibly remove the antenna. They said no problem! They were awesome! So friendly and helpful. I was so happy they could help me assist my father, cleaning things up and making his home safer. They did an excellent job keeping the shape of my dads trees and doing such a good job cleaning everything up and hauling it all away. will keep SVTS handy for any future projects. Thank you for doing such great work for my Dad at such a reasonable price. read more

hire this company. If I have any advice for people on tree and stump grinding, get lots of quotes. Some charge unbelievable prices. Some only want pictures to give estimates and some will come on site. I had one tree removal/grinding, one large stump grinding, and 2 large shrubs removed. The owner showed up in person with the fairest quote. Not the lowest but only by a small amount , BUT he was the most professional. The work was done without any problems at all. They were kind enough to leave me the mulch and wood leftovers, I requested that. They even put the wood pieces in a pile in my backyard for me. They cleaned up everything nicely. read more

Update: Antonio called me right after seeing my review, he was very apologetic about the misunderstanding and assure me they would complete the job. Job was completed on Saturday. Thank you for the quick response to review and fixing the situation. Original: So sad, took our money and never finished the job. We've called and text several times. Theo was very responsive when he needed us to pay but then never completed the job. We will report his business should he not respond within a week. read more

They showed up on time, cleared the area, setup their equipment, and then within an hour they were in the tree going to town. Quick and cleaned everything up, didn't brake any of the trees next door, very impressed. read more

I've had these guys come out to do serveral tree services multiple times. First time was trimming a few large tree for our HOA. Second was to remove a few medium size tree in my backyard, and we recently had them trim a large tree in our front yard. All three times we have been happy with their work. They do a great job and will clean up and haul afterwards. Their rates are reasonable. I would highly recommend them for your tree service needs. read more

Great service, quality work and if something gets overlooked they have no problem with fixing it. Great people all around.

Called to get an estimate. Was told a time someone would be here at a certain time. Arrived over 1hr late. Didn't even knock on the front door. Estimator opened my side gate and walked straight into my back yard. Meet him outside and asked him to please knock on my door next time. Was given a very fair estimate and was told I would get a copy of it sent to my phone. Never received anything. Called the next day and left a message but never got a response. Ended up finding another arborist to do my work. I understand businesses are busy but customers shouldn't have to contact you multiple times to spend their hard earned money. I would've rather been told they where too busy instead of being given the run around. read more

Tony was very responsive from the beginning regarding viewing the trees, providing an estimate and scheduling. The workers came timely and started immediately in preparation to remove a really big tree with lots and lots of branches that were hanging over the roof. The tree removal went well, no damage to roof or structure that I'm aware of. My only suggestion is after having a tree removed, a more thorough cleaning of tree debris is needed. A blow mower isn't enough for all the debris that remains. It would help to put towels or plastic covering over doors. **Update**. Tony followed up, returned, and thoroughly cleaned off the roof and gutters. Thank you Tony. read more

I highly recommend this business. They are very responsive and professional, and what we ended up paying was a great deal cheaper than any of the other tree service estimates we received. We had a very large dead Modesto Ash, approx 40 ft tall that had thick vine covering most of the tree and the nearby fencing/phone lines. Limbs were breaking off of it and it was becoming a dangerous hazard. It was a huge undertaking to say the least, and their team cleared everything out in two days, including the entire tree and vine, and other small trees that we wanted cleared away. It was a lot to manage and haul away, but the team did it and were all incredibly friendly and helpful in their work. You can really tell they take pride in what they do. Now we have a backyard that we can enjoy! I will be sure to recommend them to my neighbors, family and friends. *Thank you!!!* read more
