Appt at 11am, 11:30am no phone call, I texted through yelp, said on their way and ar 12:15pm still nowhere to be found. Then quotes me $1,350 for two trees that barely has any branches. I had four trees that had full crowns taken (leaving stumps) for $1,100 taken out. Way over priced. Waste of time. Appt obligations not honored--at least call people as people have lives, a job, and kids to take care of. Its basic customer service. Mind you, I did get quotes from a bunch more companies and I did give them a good review as they gave me a ballpark without wasting both our times and for the ones who came over, they were on time. A friend recommended Teodoro and I messaged via their website and received a call the same day from Antonio. They came out within a day or two and gave me a VERY reasonable price on several trees to be removed and stumps ground down. Some of these trees were growing into power lines which was no problem for Teodoro and his guys. He is a very sweet man and knows what he is doing. On New Year's Eve we had a large tree in our front yard fall and land on our two vehicles parked in the driveway, blocking both from being able to use. But to my surprise, not only did Tony actually answer the phone, but he scheduled an appointment to come out the next morning at 7:30 am so we could get our cars out. Spoke to Tony on a Wednesday morning and had Theo (Tony's Dad) out by 1pm the same day to take a look at the job and give an estimate. I was visiting my senior Dad from out of town and realized he had some issues with the house needing to be addressed immediately. I used Yelp to try to find a local, family owned company who I felt would do a good but reasonably priced job since my Dad is on a fixed income. He had several trees/bushes that needed to be cut back but my Dad was concerned the trees would be hacked up or some of his flower planters would be damaged. Theo came out and made us both feel like we were in experienced and trustworthy hands. Theo's quote for the job was more than fair. There were 3 large trees that needed to be cut back from the roof and wires but Theo also noted another tree that was starting to hang too low over the street as well as a couple of bushes that were getting pretty wild. He offered to trim back those without any additional charge! Such a sweet guy. Theo and two other kind gentlemen arrived right when they said they would and worked solid for several hours. My father had an old, large mental antenna on his roof that I have been concerned about so I asked if while they were cleaning off the roof (that was covered in tree droppings even prior to the trimming) if they could possibly remove the antenna. They said no problem! They were awesome! So friendly and helpful. I was so happy they could help me assist my father, cleaning things up and making his home safer. Some only want pictures to give estimates and some will come on site. I had one tree removal/grinding, one large stump grinding, and 2 large shrubs removed. The owner showed up in person with the fairest quote. Not the lowest but only by a small amount , BUT he was the most professional. The work was done without any problems at all. Estimator opened my side gate and walked straight into my back yard. Meet him outside and asked him to please knock on my door next time. Ended up finding another arborist to do my work. I understand businesses are busy but customers shouldn't have to contact you multiple times to spend their hard earned money. The workers came timely and started immediately in preparation to remove a really big tree with lots and lots of branches that were hanging over the roof. The tree removal went well, no damage to roof or structure that I'm aware of. My only suggestion is after having a tree removed, a more thorough cleaning of tree debris is needed. I highly recommend this business. They are very responsive and professional, and what we ended up paying was a great deal cheaper than any of the other tree service estimates we received. We had a very large dead Modesto Ash, approx 40 ft tall that had thick vine covering most of the tree and the nearby fencing/phone lines. Limbs were breaking off of it and it was becoming a dangerous hazard. It was a huge undertaking to say the least, and their team cleared everything out in two days, including the entire tree and vine, and other small trees that we wanted cleared away.
