However, after many fallen limbs, we decided it was time to call out the experts. From the initial quote, to the day of work, they were professionals. I never once felt like I was being taken advantage of and they were very knowledgeable about all the trees. They started around 8 in the morning and finished around 4. We also had a large pine tree literally against the fence that they were able to take down! Then after cutting down all the trees they grinded our stumps all the way down. They even took down some other stumps from smaller trees I had cut myself. I big reason we decided to go with Laguna was we wanted a professional arborist to take a look at our front yard tree for trimming. The informed us that it wasn't the best time to trim and that they would come back in a few weeks when the tree would be healthier to cut. Of course I took their expert opinion but they did offer to trim that day if we really wanted to. I will definitely use them again, they were well priced and absolutely worth the cost!

Let me save you some time: stop comparing quotes and just call Valley Tree Solutions. The job they did at my house wasn't simple. They removed a 60-foot Italian cypress, ground the stump, trimmed a liquid amber, and took on two massive bay laurels -- all in a backyard where the margin for error was genuinely slim. The cypress and bay laurels were inches from my fence, branches draped over my neighbor's yard, and the bay laurels were just a few feet from my swimming pool. Plenty of scenarios where things could go sideways fast. But things didn't go sideways. Jose and his crew moved through the whole job with the kind of calm, unhurried precision that only comes from real experience. No drama, no close calls, no shortcuts. Just skilled people doing skilled work. The professionalism was consistent from the moment they showed up -- on time, easy to talk to, and focused the whole way through. Jose himself set the tone: straightforward, courteous, and clearly takes pride in the work. Then came the cleanup, which honestly caught me off guard. My yard was left immaculate. I highly recommend Valley Tree Solutions and will be referring them to friends who may need tree removal! They had very reasonable pricing compared to several other quotes I received from other companies, and included stump grinding. I had two very large trees and two medium sized trees removed, taking about 4-5 days of work total. Jose, Savino, and the whole crew were professional, personable, and worked quickly and efficiently. They were knowledgeable and helpful, explaining the process and accommodating requests I had. Savino provided consistent and thoughtful communication throughout the process. Jose and his crew did a great job at a price I couldn't beat if I was to do the job myself. Despite having a small problem with the grinder, they made the repair, replacing a few teeth on the grinder head. Got the job grinding 3 stumps way faster than I expected. The price to trim the entire large tree in front of my house was comparable to other estimates but he also offered to take the branches we have left on the side of our yard and fix the shotty job we did on our smaller tree. I think with the extras, the price was great and I needed it done soon so I scheduled a trim on Saturday. The team came at 1:00pm, confirmed what we wanted and they were finished by 4:30pm. I saw a huge difference. They did an awesome job giving my large tree a haircut all around and made my smaller tree look neater. No more branches overhanging the roof and a clear sky view. They had a huge chipper that ate all of the branches with ease. The team even did a great job cleaning up the area. No excessive leaves on my lawn or the pavement. You couldn't tell that they were even there. The final price was the same as the estimate and they listened to what we wanted and followed through. I am very happy with the job they did and would definitely give them a call when my trees get overgrown, or when I'm ready to remove either tree completely.

The last windstorm brought down a very large redwood tree branch, which took out other branches on the way down and left quite a mess. I've been meaning to get out the chainsaw, but this crew was working on the other side of the fence so I approached them about a quick job and asked if they were by the job or by the hour. They gave me an hourly quote, took a look at the job and said it would take 1 to 2 hours., And I agreed to that. The actual job took maybe 40 minutes. When I went to pay them, they said it would be two hours no matter what, claiming that's what I agreed to. When I protested and offered to pay for the hour, they called the office and got a hard no, and an insistence that I pay for a full two hours. To me, that shows a serious lack of integrity, and, needless to say, I will not be recommending them to anybody I know. They were already on site, and this would be a quick, extra job and unexpected money, and they took full advantage. No thanks.
