Found AJ tree services through yelp and definitely a great choose. Price was reasonable and Josh the owner was willing to accommodate. Messaged him through yelp and he reached out within the same day and out to quote the next. Was willing to start 3 days later but due to weather we started a week later. 16 trees plus stump removal, was able to do 14 out of 16 all in one day! Wow such hard workers. They will have to come back to do the remaining 2 due to needing permits but they have a guy working with city, so we don't have to worry about a thing. Update to my experience on 12/3 with A J Tree Service...AFTER I posted my negative review on 12/8, Josh called me on 12/9. He left a message apologizing for the last response but he was out of town. He offered to come back out to re-trim the trees on 12/12 at 3:30. I agreed. On 12/12, he texted at 2:45 me to say that they were not coming because they were held up at a job. I texted him back to ask when they could come. No response. On 12/13, I texted yet again to inquire about when they could come. Again, no response. On 12/15, I texted a THIRD time. STILL no response. I would think twice before hiring A J Tree Service. Friendly and responsive until they get your money then ghosts you. BAD business practice! read more

Messaged AJ's and Josh replied via Yelp. We setup an a date and time for an estimate. As far as I know, this is a father and son team along side with other people (I believe 5 others came to do the work). I messaged them a day before (we scheduled the work a week in advanced) they were to come over to confirm that they were and the time we agreed on, I only now got a time change. But not a problem on my side as I was accommodating to that. Why the uncertainty for my first couple of paragraph? Well I was never there, my wife was the one at home for the estimate and when they were working. So I never met anyone, just messaged each other. They gave a great price for what we wanted done and as long as my wife is happy, then it's good with me. Though the only thing they missed was chopping about 5' from the top of a tree that we agreed on, but also my wife missed that too as there was a lot happening at that moment. Because there were about 7 people working on the trees, they flew by the project, like it took them an hour or so. Overall, I'd use them again, but schedule it where I'll be home. Team was fantastic. Brought down 3 tall palm trees behind my pool quickly and with minimal damage. They were professional and very helpful. When they arrived they asked if we could move our trailer so they could access through the large gate for the chipper. Unfortunately our pin was missing from our trucks hitch. Their team hooked up their own truck and towed our trailer for us to our side street. We cut a corner tree in our backyard down last summer and had been delaying the actual removal of the stump. I saw one of their work trucks while on a walk and made sure I remembered to call them and I'm so glad we did. Josh was responsive and flexible with quickly giving us a quote and completing the job. We have 2 large palm trees on our property. Both are located in somewhat precarious positions, due to the surrounding landscape and fencing. I placed a bid request through Yelp. AJ's tree service contacted me within 30 minutes to schedule a time for a free quote. Josue and his father came out and provided a quote that afternoon. They were the first quote I received, so I told them I would let them know my decision by the end of the week. Their quote ended up being HALF what the 3 other responses were! As we all know, times are tight so we went with the lowest bid and hoped the low price wasn't a bad sign. Josue was able to get me on the schedule 2 weeks down the road, which was fine as our job was not urgent. In the scheduled day, Josue and his crew showed up on time, with top notch equipment and safety gear, and proceeded to transform my overgrown palm trees. I needed a huge pine tree to have its branches removed because all the pine needles were going into my pool or ending up around my pool. This tree had widow maker pine cones that kept dropping into my backyard and if they hit someone in the head who knows what could happen. Josh and his crew were very professional and worked so hard. This company was doing work a couple doors down. My parkway tree had just fallen over and it was at the end of life so I asked them for a bid. His guys gave me a great price and got right on it. Also asked Josh about a large cherry tree that I need to prune back. He gave me a price but recommended waiting until winter when it's dormant to reduce stress on the tree.
