I purchased a new home that had some discoloration on the carpet that looked like mold. We were told by the seller it was old damage and all dried out. I called Peet's restoration and they came out and confirmed that there was in fact, water damage, and some mold but more importantly, that there was some active water damage. They went above and beyond to do mold remediation, check the existing walls and room, and called a leak detection company to find out what the problem was before they patched up the wall. Additionally, I mentioned that I was going to have flooring replaced and being the one stop shop that they are, they gave me an excellent price on flooring and sent out to flooring installers, Daniel and Jacob that are probably the best I've ever worked for. I had reached out to Peets about fixing a crack in my kitchen ceiling and they shifted the scope away from what I asked for. Upon inspection, Peter advised that they remove the dry wall and inspect for mold because there was apparent light humidity marks along this crack in the drywall. For good measure, he recommended that a small water stain behind the upstairs toilet also be inspected for mold behind it. At no point was it made clear that the scope did not include fixing this ceiling crack, which was my primary request. I was under the impression that the scope was being expanded to include a mold inspection, but the scope was instead shifted away from my original ask. Turns out there was no mold to be concerned about, but they still proceeded to set up an expensive dehumidifier operation in my kitchen with no clear benefit and it was seemingly overkill for what could have been a simple dry wall repair. They also removed more bathroom wall than was necessary for the inspection. When I found out that actual ceiling repair would be an extra two grand, I went with a different contractor to finish the job. They did perfom the work consistent with the scope that they wrote, but that scope did not meet my expectations. If you proceed with Peets, also verify that the invoice details match the work actually performed. Overall, this project seemed extraneous, with no opportunity for course correction, and the ceiling crack was replaced by a gaping hole. read more

I had a leak in the bathtub in an upstairs bathroom in my house. The leak went through the wall and in to the ceiling of the room downstairs underneath the bathroom. I needed water damage help so I found Peets on the internet and contacted them. Pete came right out with fans that ran for a few days that dried the water leak up. Then, the bathroom upstairs needed to be re-built because the leaking bathtub had to come out. Pete has a crew that does re-building. That crew did an amazing job. Noticed a ceiling leak during a rain and wind storm in March. Found Peter's water restoration company via google. Phone call brought Peter and his team down from Rancho Cordova to Elk Grove at 10 PM while the storm was in progress. They covered the roof with a tarp to stop any further leakage. Grateful for his coming out right away under storm conditions. Within a few days a 4x4 section of the ceiling was removed, large fans were installed to evaporate moisture from the wood frame and the ceiling was restored to its original condition. Would highly recommend! We were replacing an older built in refrigerator/freezer which no longer functioned. When the installers removed the old one, they found that the back wall was a mess! The installers agreed to store the new unit for several days if we could find someone to remove and repair the wall. We were desperate! My husband called several restoration companies. I have never experienced better customer service. At the request of my HO Insurance Carrier, I was requested to mitigate subsequent damages from December-January 2023 Windstorms by hiring water removal restoration services. Peets response for initial inspection immediate, followed by next week on scene demolition and removal of water. 1 day into their initial on scene work, area struck by a very significant thunderstorm, followed by Peets returning to site to inspect potential additional water, removal of chimney cap and hardware, placing temporary cap on chimney, in order to remedy affected areas. They also advised me of missing tiles blown off by January windstorm, suggesting roof inspection. I would highly recommend their services. We found out we had major water damage in our kitchen from a leaking valve behind our fridge. There was a lot of mold surrounding the fridge and our pantry.
