After extensive water damage to our home last Christmas Eve Service Master's Darin was the first on the scene. He had the difficult task of explaining the extent damage of the damage and the scope of the job at hand. We were shocked and dismayed, but he reassured us they had our backs and would walk us through the entire process, which included moving most of our furniture and belongings out of the house. They packed everything, with the exception of a few broken items did a great job. They are paying to repair a damaged antique cabinet, no questions asked. They aren't perfect, nothing is, but Darin always returned calls promptly and from the start to picking up the last empty moving boxes was kind, personable and professional. Darren, Jakob, Mark and the whole crew at ServiceMaster are true pros. We had a malfunctioning toilet and subsequent overflow with water damage to 3 rooms. Within the hour Darren was at my house doing his thing and by the end of the day our baseboards were removed and fans were on the drywall. If it wasn't for my own insurance being unresponsive all the damaged material would have been out on time. Right after thanksgiving during the middle of our master bathroom remodel, we hit a snag..or should I say pipe. Our bottom floor was leaking water from above like it was sun splash. After our home had a fire, we lost everything...and I mean everything. All the vultures came out to sell me their services before the fire was even put out by the fire fighters. They were telling me what I needed to do and say, etc., etc.. Darrin was referred to us and true to his word, he's an honest man with your best interests at heart. I was so pleasantly surprised by how honest and reassuring Matthew was. I had a leak in my HVAC system which caused damage to my floor and subfloor this past summer. I want to thank Matthew at ServiceMaster for the outstanding work he and his crew did for us. We had roof damage from a storm and water leaked though the ceiling and in to our family room. The team who did the packout did a thorough job and they were careful to label and wrap everything. Five months later they returned to bring my belongings that were not destroyed back to my home. Darrin and his team are outstanding. I had a water leak 2yrs ago, which caused a serious health issue due to mold growth. My home insurance wouldn't cover due to length of time. Had an mold inspection and 2 estimates. One was way too expensive and unprofessional. I am elderly on a fixed income. Second estimate was due to a referral to SM in Loomis and Darrin came to assess. He was so professional, experienced, comforting, compassionate and efficient. He gave me honest information, took time to explain and gave me a cost I could live with. His team came set up and took out all the carpet, washed down the walls with a treatment got rid of the mold. I had it reinspected and it cleared. I don't know how to thank him and his team for such an excellent job and my handling my anxiety. I wish I could give them hundreds of stars. I later learned this was considered a small job and since I didn't have insurance coverage, most places didn't want to bother. The hardest thing about going through a situation with your home seems to be getting a contractor or service agency to actually show up. When they do finally show up you get such a crazy range of quotes, and before you know it, you're buying a set of used tires when you just needed your water damage taken care of. Not only did Matthew and team show up when they said they would, but they provided a no nonsense assessment and estimate. We wish we could give Matt and Service Master a hundred more stars, they are that good! We suffered major water damage from a broken toilet inlet line on the second floor and it happened at 0400 while we were sleeping! Most of the carpet and ceramic floor tile throughout the house was completely saturated/ruined. What a mess. Fortunately for us we called Service Master and are we glad we did. Matt came right over to analyze the damage and offer suggestions and recommendations to limit the damage and prevent mold which was a major concern. Matt was so nice, caring and professional as was every member of his team. Quinn was the on sight supervisor who was equally customer focused and respectful. Matt seemed to always be around to offer support and guidance to his team as well as us. They installed 25 "blowers" that ran 24/7 for a week to dry out our home. Because of their quick work they were able to mitigate the damage AND prevent any mold!!!. We also appreciated how this cohesive team cared for our house and our personal belongings. Going through a leak in a home's plumbing can be stressful especially when mold occurs. This happened to us in April and it was our first time to deal with this type of situation. Our Insurance arranged for Service Master to evaluate our home and we agreed to use Service Master for the remediation . The process took about a week for the mold remediation which involved removing cabinets, the contents of the cabinets, drywall and insulation in our garage and kitchen and drying out the area, including the tile kitchen flooring that was set apart with plastic sheeting with dehumidifiers and blowers being used to get rid of the mold.. Once the mold was remediated mold testing was done by the Regas Group and a clearance for occupancy was issued. During this time, Darren Wright Production Manager, was very helpful in explaining what was happening and keeping lines of communication open. I appreciated Darren's patience and his willingness to find time in his busy schedule to explain the complex process which involved Service Master, our homeowners insurance and the several vendors involved.. This is especially relevant for Seniors who may want a personal touch and to do business with a company that is willing to meet face to face .
