After I called them, Kayla promptly set up an appointment for Russell to come assess our trees and give an estimate. Kayla and Russell were extremely friendly and professional. One reason I wanted the Klamfoths to do the job was because I noticed they had arborist licenses in addition to trimming trees, so I knew they would do the best thing for the tree and not just hack away at it. Sure enough, Russell was deeply knowledgeable about the tree, its growth, and everything else. He said they always want to trim as little as possible from the trees to keep the healthy and avoid safety issues, which told me that he was trustworthy. The estimate was extremely reasonable, so I scheduled an appointment. They were equally impressive when they showed up to complete the job. They showed up early! I was shocked. What a rare thing in this day and age. Once they got started, I was happy to see that they were taking many careful safety precautions to make sure my lawn, yard, and house were not in danger of getting trashed by falling limbs. They were very friendly and professional the entire time. When they finished, they cleaned up all of the branches and used a leaf blower to clean the street/driveway. They also cut down a smaller tree for free, which was fantastic. In summary, I was very, very happy with the Klamfoth company. Had our whole front and back (medium sized trees and lots of shrubs) cleaned, trimmed, removed, etc... Whole yard clean up (beds where bushes and shrubs were all cleaned). Ned Klamfoth's crew of 4 were here right on time, very kind and friendly, worked very hard for 5-1/2 hours and I am thrilled! Things just get away from you when you try to maintain it yourself but, sometimes, you just have to ask someone who knows what he is doing. Normally, I shy away from these types of solicitations, but happened to be in the market for tree work so I checked them out. Found they not only had great reviews, but were insured, licensed and in good standing with the state contractors license board. Set an appointment with Ned to come out and scope out all of my overgrown trees along with some aggressive wisteria that had completely overtaken the top of a really tall pine tree in my backyard. Russell is very knowledgeable about trees! I have had them out twice, one of which was an emergency when a twisted juniper had a huge branch explode and land on pool equipment and fence. Absolutely amazing! Ned left a flyer on my doorstep and I called after having two other tree services come by. He was the best quote to remove two pines (including the stumps) and clear up the deadwood of three other trees. The day of removal, we asked for another tree in the yard to be removed and stump ground and also for him to remove a tree we had chopped down ourselves. He did it for a few hundred more. His guys were quick, professional and polite. They had the job done in a few hours and left our yard looking spotless! I had a flyer dropped off on my front door for Klamfoth Tree Service and was impressed by Ned's all in one service of being a certified Arborist, Licensed and Insured, as well as providing stump grinding, which is often a separate service. I had Ned come out an access my yard. As an Arborist, he provided me more information about my trees so that I could make an informed decision on how to proceed. He provided me a very fair quote on my tree removal as well as some additional trimming on my neighbors trees. We decided to go with Ned. On the day of the scheduled service, his team of employees (not day laborers) showed up EARLY for the job and were already set up by the time Ned arrived (on time) to provide detailed instructions. They guys worked for a solid 8 hours on our yard, and as Ned had promised, they made our burdensome tree "disappear".
