We stopped here about 5 hours into a 7 hour road trip. Got a reservation through yelp, (that was so helpful) arrived about 10 min early, so we had to wait for a short bit. We got lucky with parking, as someone was leaving just as we pulled in. The place was packed, and it was a little loud. Most normal people could probably have a conversation, but my family has low voices, so we said what, alot. Nikki was our server, and I think she was working 10 tables or more! Somehow she still managed to stay on top of our drinks and check in as the meal progressed. We all agreed that the food was very good. However a few things were outstanding. My hubby thought the Limon Surf and Turf was very different, and he loved it. I loved the potatoes. Great flavor and texture. My kiddo enjoyed the ravioli, and she was pleasantly surprised by the portion size. My special had perfectly cooked asparagus, and the pasta side was also something I would recommend. The one thing I would have liked to see is an upgrade in the coffee offered. We love a good americano after a nice meal.

We live in the neighborhood, and decided to walk down for Brunch this Sunday. Everything was fabulous we walked right in, got served drinks right away! I had a Mimosa with orange juice + an Irish Coffee both 10/10! I had the Hilltop Omelette, and my fiancé had the Steak Hash I cannot tell you how amazing both were. We ordered a pancake with a side of fruit, and sausage for our 2 year old Daughter she was a fan. We will plan a night for dinner next as I would like to try the Lobster Risotto + Arancini!

Came in again to find an updated menu. Love some of the new choices. It was all so good that we forgot to take pictures. One of the newer items we loved was the risotto filet. The steak was So tender and delicious. The risotto was a mushroom saffron and had amazing flavor. We also had some of our old favorite like the ribeye, shrimp appetizer, and carpaccio. Tiramisu made in house. So good. Service was great as always. Such a clean and well designed space. Always love coming here and will be back soon.

Two ribeye steaks, one with a potato the other with pasta. Both awesome.

When you walk in the restaurant has exposed brick some older architecture, it's a larger space which helps conversation because you don't feel like you're on top of the next table. The food was excellent, ribeye and pasta were great. Service also matched the vibe, wait staff was attentive, professional, and had great energy. Loved this place!

I came here for a brunch since I'd only had it once before but remembered it was so good. This time, I sat at the bar (got there a little after 10:30), so there was ample space. I was immediately given water and a drink and food menu. I had an idea of what I wanted (steak hash) but also wanted to try the biscuits because I remembered them being so good. When I inquired on getting a single biscuit, she said that wasn't an option and suggested an alternative method. I still got the hash but ended up getting a side of sourdough instead. Drink wise, I went with a pineapple mimosa. Sitting at the bar does have its perks, aka, I got my drink rather quickly. She was quite generous with the pour and it always makes a difference when there's more champagne than juice. After a short while, my food arrived and once it was put in front of me, I knew I made the right choice. While I don't see it often, I thought it was cool how they had my steak labeled with how it's supposed to be cooked. It's a small detail that often gets overlooked, especially when it comes to steak. The dish itself was perfect except holy potatoes! I don't think I've ever seen so many come with a dish! I woofed down my eggs per usual and savored each bite of my perfectly cooked steak. The combination of the that, plus the 1 1/2 pcs of toast left very little room for the potatoes. I couldn't have been more impressed with the stellar service, the great food, and how friendly the bartender was. I'll for sure be back

We stopped here for brunch on Father's Day, so it was pretty busy. Fortunately, we had a reservation. The service was slow for us, but we weren't in a hurry. A lot of the local brunch places are like that, and that's usually fine, because it gives us a chance to visit. I'm not usually a steak person, but I thought the steak hash was pretty good. My friend also enjoyed the steak and eggs. They don't have quite the variety of some other brunch places, so you'll definitely want to check the menu to see if it's the right fit.

Early Anniversary dinner!! Decided to try a Steak Place on The Hill. The place is very happening and busy! The Lemon Drop Martini was one of the Best I have had! The Arancini were good but a bit dry. The Wedge Salad is highly recommended!! Fresh and the dressing and Bleu Cream Crumbles with the Bacon!! Perfect! Me and the Hubby split the Bone in Ribeye and Carnivore Potatoes. Very good.

The food and service were great. I had the steak sandwich cooked medium to perfection. Hubs had the chicken Parmesan. We had toasted ravs for appetizer. They lost one star for the pasta. Any pasta served on the Hill should be the bomb.com. The pasta was very bland.

Carnivore was less enjoyable than expected because the side dish of Carnivore Potatoes in olive oil butter garlic sauce topped with parmesan was my favorite dish that evening. Yes, the service was good and our server did check up on us. Yes, the restaurant was clean and the window view was appreciated. But, I was expecting one of the main dishes to be my favorite which was the 8oz Filet Mignon or Chicken Risotto - (grilled chicken sauteéd with sun-dried tomatoes, asparagus, and white wine). The risotto didn't taste anything spectacular and the filet mignon was over cooked and chewy. I am an amateur smoker at home and if I can make meat taste better, then something could be improved by offering higher quality meat or the cooking process. The bread could've also tasted better and serving butter in a non-prepackaged container would've been a good start. The reservations through Yelp functioned as expected and we were quickly seated. I also like that Carnivore had a separate entrance dividing the bar from the sit down portion of the restaurant.

The service itself was great, everyone was polite and welcoming. Our waitress checked on us multiple times as well as others coming by to clear the table and offer boxes. The caesar salad was really good and I loved the texture of the homemade croutons; crunchy but so soft they could basically melt in your mouth. The potatoes were absolutely delicious and I wanted to love the steak but it just didn't seem to come out fresh it was almost room temperature like it may have been sitting there for a moment. The flavor was still there and it's my fault for not sending it back but I didn't want to deal with that. We also ordered arancini for an appetizer and that was delicious. I would go back just to try other items, they had a nice menu.

    Cheesecake

Everything was fine, but nothing like everyone rants and raves about . The chicken modiga flatbread didn't have "modiga" flavor . The tiramisu was so bland , almost a sin to have that in the hill. It was like the lady fingers weren't even soaked it was just a layered cake. The ambiance was weird , I feel like they could have a different seating arrangement and make it seem a little nicer for a "steakhouse" . The only things we really enjoyed was the pasta and the cheesecake .

I was taught by brother that you should book your first dinner reservation as after flying all day, one is tired, and not able to make good decisions...hence eating at a TGI Fridays in New Orleans on our first night. The only thing that tricked us was the Toasted Ravioli. It has meat in it, and my wife is vegetarian. The Arancini was terrific and the table bread was also quite tasty. My wife had the Manicotti and I had the Chicken Lemonata. So great. The bottle of the house Gitto's Red was the perfect wine as well. Although claiming to have invented the toasted ravs, really did not enjoy them. Caprese salad was good for this time of year- early June. Side of red pasta helped but was too sweet.

Parking is easy within a block or two. Outdoor, booth, and table seating is available. My husband had the gluten free pasta because it is also vegan, and no lie and true to form, it was delightful and light! The tomato sauce is Perfection: not too acidic, not too sweet, letting the grand yet humble tomato shine. I chose the puttanesca, one of my favorite traditional Italian pastas. I would order this again!! Had plenty for lunch the next day. Not to be left out: the toasted ravs and cannoli. I've had a few T-ravs since moving to StL, and these are excellent. The tomato sauce for dipping, once again, is a real treat. The cannolis? Precious, flaky, and dreamy. I ate one at our table and took the second bad boy home. FIRE.

While traveling through Missouri, my wife and I were looking for a place to have dinner. I searched…read moreYelp and came across Anthonino's. I also remembered seeing it featured on the Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, so we figured it had to be worth a try. When we arrived, we were asked if we had a reservation. We didn't, but noticed a few open seats at the bar and asked if we could sit there instead. The two bartenders welcomed us right away and told us they would take good care of us throughout the evening. My wife ordered an iced tea, and I started with an Old Fashioned. For an appetizer, we ordered the Toasted Ravioli ($14), which is handmade in-house and filled with ground beef, ricotta, and pecorino romano cheese, served with marinara sauce. It's one of the dishes featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. For dinner, my wife ordered the Chicken Marsala ($23), and I went with the Bolognese ($17), made with veal, pork, red wine gravy, cresta di gallo pasta, stracciatella, and Calabrian chili oil. The toasted ravioli arrived looking great. I tried one without the sauce first. The fresh pasta didn't fry up quite the way I expected. It was more flaky than crispy, and I was hoping for a little more crunch. The filling was decent but could have used a bit more seasoning and flavor. The marinara sauce also had a bitterness to it that wasn't my favorite. When our entrées arrived, both dishes looked and smelled wonderful. Unfortunately, the flavors didn't quite live up to the presentation. My wife's Chicken Marsala had good flavor overall, but the side pasta was very gummy, and the sauce again had a bitter note that seemed to overpower the dish. My Bolognese was the biggest disappointment of the evening. When I think of Bolognese or a rich meat ragù, I usually expect a wider pasta such as pappardelle. The cresta di gallo pasta wasn't my favorite choice for the dish, and it also had a gummy texture. The sauce itself suffered from the same bitterness that we noticed throughout the meal. Looking back, I probably should have ordered the Carbonara once I realized the Bolognese wasn't being served with the type of pasta I was hoping for. Overall, the meal was okay, but it didn't quite meet the expectations we had after seeing the restaurant featured on television and reading the reviews. The service was excellent, and the bartenders did a fantastic job taking care of us. While this visit was a bit disappointing, there were plenty of other dishes on the menu that looked great, and I would be willing to give Anthonino's another try and order something different.

Everything was superb. The cassoulet had a beautiful spice with a velvety texture. The crab tom yum risotto was so decadent. Silky smooth from the coconut with a beautiful herby finish from the mint chili oil to complement the crab. I never thought I'd say this, but the brussel sprouts stole the show! I'm guessing bartender failed to rinse the shaker properly after the previous gin shake, resulting in a vodka drink with a strong gin flavor. The staff kindly replaced the drink with a lower quality vodka that helped satisfy me. The situation was resolved, but I walked away feeling misunderstood and dismissed by the owner. We ordered a bottle of Amarone and enjoyed it with the whole meal. For starters, we ordered the polenta with Italian sausage between the two of us. We could only exclaim about how creamy the polenta was. It was extremely hearty, with some vegetables and thinly sliced Italian sausage. I'm glad that the Italian sausage was thinly sliced because otherwise it would have been overpowering for my palette. The next dish that my daughter had was technically a Caprese salad, which was tomato and mozzarella. She didn't like the red onion, but had asked for balsamic vinegar on the side, which she added to the salad, and when I tried the balsamic vinegar, even I realized that it is one of the best that I have ever had. My daughter went with the gnocchi, and said that it was among the best that she had ever had. We shared a veal and mushroom risotto between the two of us, and it was perfectly moist, the veal was not overpowering, and it was perfectly cooked. The veal just simply melted in the mouth. The only reason I'm subtracting a star is that our salads were a bit wilted -- my Mom kept running into some weird looking greens. Regardless, we'll be back.
