GRILLED BEEF TENDERLOIN
Bryce Y.

From the moment we sat down, we knew we were in for something special. The space was immaculately clean and refreshingly calm--a rare kind of atmosphere that lets you actually slow down and savor the moment. We started with the Charred Broccolini, which was smoky, crisp, and surprisingly addictive. Then came the Grilled Beef Tenderloin--flawlessly cooked, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and full of bold, savory flavor. But the real showstopper? The dry-aged, boneless ribeye, crowned with lobster butter and chimichurri. Rich, buttery, and perfectly balanced--easily one of the best steaks in St. Louis. It felt indulgent in the best way possible. Our night was made even better by Chad, our server, who was the kind of attentive and down-to-earth you always hope for but rarely get. He made stellar recommendations, kept the vibe relaxed, and somehow elevated the whole experience without ever feeling overbearing. This wasn't just dinner--it was the kind of evening that sticks with you. We'll definitely be back.

From the moment you walk in, the vibe is sleek, stylish, and just the right amount of lively. The cocktails? Absolute perfection. Each one is beautifully crafted and dangerously easy to sip. Now, let's talk food, because wow. The steak? Melt-in-your-mouth good. The sides? Packed with flavor. The portions? Generous but not over-the-top. Why not 5 stars? Service was friendly but a bit on the slower side, and the noise level made conversation a little tricky at times. But honestly, with a cocktail in hand and a great plate in front of me, I wasn't complaining much. Would I come back? Yes please!

I love this place... let's start there! When I first arrived, I loved how the restaurant is set up. I actually got a table for one, but when I arrived, I wish I would've just sat at the bar because the bar was so cool. When I came in, everyone was pleasant brought me to my seat. My waiter was extremely attentive and pleasant. You could tell he knew the menu and made really good recommendations on drinks. I got an off menu salad to start and I don't think it's on the regular menu, but it was so good. It waa a Tomato watermelon and grilled peach salad with shaved Parmesan cheese. I could've had a whole platter of that salad and be satisfied lol. For my meal, I ordered the New York strip and fries (the fries was recommended by the waiter). The New York strip was good, the flavor was good. It was a little bit more fat for my liking, but overall it was cooked well and I didn't have any complaints enough to change my review because everything else about the service and the food was top-notch. I did have two drinks. I had the French Quarter, which was so incredibly good and refreshing. I'm willing to go back to that restaurant just for that drink! I also had their take on the smoked old-fashioned that had the pineapple and pepper in it. I love bourbon and I love boozier drinks, but that drink almost put me on my back. I think it may have been the peppers in the drink that pulled out the alcohol all I know is that drink was strong, but very good. I also got a slice of the carrot cake and that was literally some of the best carrot cake I've had in a very long time. I have no complaints about this restaurant. I'm just mad I have not been before now, but I will definitely be coming back.

We came here early on a Thursday night before the dinner rush and managed to get a table without reservations. The very handsome sweet Sam Z served us. This place is gorgeous--think half urban sophistication and half luxury lodge. Chairs are super comfy!! Normally I don't go burger and fries at a high-end restaurant but that's what I was in the mood for. I would literally come back just to eat this cheeseburger again: aged beef (medium) with gruyere, onions, and a super tidy layer of wilted greens on a perfectly toasted crisp brioche bun. Unbelievably delicate but flavorful. It came with a generous portion of garlic fries--some of them bordered on a touch soggy but they were still very good overall. We shared the beet salad beforehand; the beets were delicious, but the vinaigrette was mediocre. Our scotch came with the most beautiful etched ice cubes. My husband raved about his tenderloin with short ribs. Love the 1970s-80s upbeat playlist. The only holdout on five stars is because service was slightly slow and we weren't there during the rush. We can't wait to return!

This place has beautiful ambiance unlike many of the restaurants we have in the area.

Came in for lunch today with my mom and my daughter and all three of us ordered the Asian chicken salad. I had forgotten that for the strangest reason they use dark meat on their salad as opposed to chicken breast and it just kind of ruins the salad. My daughter found some bones/cartilage on her first bite of chicken and just had the ick after that. Other than that I have always enjoyed this place but I highly recommend you switch to chicken breast on your salads instead of the cheaper dark meat which doesn't really go in a cold salad.

Amber was my server! Very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. I asked her for a drink with perks and she delivered the C&C cocktail ( fancy fiery lemon drop) I was sold at presentation. I also decided to try a brownie sundae. Just ok . Quiet happy hr . Building was clean and clear of clutter. Happy hr was going on but nothing was exciting on the menu. All in all very good visit. Prices reasonable.

Quick Review (1-5) Food: 5 People: 5 Ambience: 5 Parking: ample parking lot What a delightful little find off Clayton! I met a friend there for dinner and drinks, and was surprised to find such a well designed, chic place with an amazing patio overlooking a a beautifully landscape park and pond at the Town Square in Town and Country. The patio is shared with Wild Crush and makes for the perfect setting for a funny afternoon gathering, a calm and delicious evening meal, after work drinks. I actually think the spot is so well put together you could easily use it for a large group gathering, but you'd have to call about reservation size or rental. But on to the meat of it...C&C is on the pricer end, but you pay for quality and creativity, and it's 100% deliciously worth it. My group enjoyed two of the entree specials, short ribs and scallops, and shared the bread (fresh and so delicious with some amazing butter, I know, I know, butter is already good, but they made it better) and broccolini (that herb ricotta was delicious), and we all took home an order of the ricotta gnocchi (my mouth is watering now thinking about it). While I'm sure this is delightful in the summer, go check it out while the weather is beautiful and you can enjoy a peaceful view with a glass of wine.

Porterhouse for two and broccoli rabe
Joseph J M.

The meatball app was interesting with can excellent tomato puree, the Reggiano Parmesan was NOT Reggiano other whipped cheese was an interesting addition. The porterhouse was dry aged. They must dry the individual cuts and the the primal cut or the dry age was very short as it was nothing like the dry aged standard of Peter Lugers. The broccoli rabe had a great char. Service was professional and not overly involved (that is a positive) It was surprisingly empty for a Saturday evening. The entire facility was impeccably clean. Good food just not great.

I had my first dinner of my stay at Olive + Oak, and it blew me away from the moment I laid my eyes on it. From the unsuspecting street outside, the giant windows glow with the warm, sparkling light from within. An elegant dining room with a beautiful bar and a good amount of hustle and bustle. I felt like I was at an upscale New Orleans joint. Very cozy. Service was just as beautiful. Our server was extremely nice, new the menu backwards and forwards, and rattled off the nightly specials without hesitation. And on top of all of that, when we were getting some stuff to-go, she threw in more bread for us! You can't train that level of service. That's just a good person. Onto the food. We started off with the Blue Crab Gratin (calabrian chili, celery + pretzel bread). This was ooey, gooey, cheesy, delicious, had a fair amount of crab in it, had a nice little kick, and the sliced, crunchy pretzel bread dippers were exquisite. Something seasonal that isn't on their menu anymore, we ordered an Okonomiyaki, which is a savory Japanese pancake, basically, covered in sauce. Wow, this thing was done well. Very reminiscent of the authentic thing I've had in Japan. Very nice. Another dish that isn't on the menu anymore, the Catfish dish. It was slightly Asian and on top of some sort of risotto rice. I can't remember exactly, but I do remember that it was very well cooked, had a nice char. An eclectic dish that came together very nicely. I also got to try some of the Rabbit Crepe (port wine braised rabbit, blueberry, fennel, arugula + kenny's bleu gouda crepe). Some people might shudder at the idea of eating rabbit. Those people need to grow up. Rabbit is one of the most succulent, delicious meats out there, and in this wonderful flavor combination, in a crepe. This chef is genius. I could have downed two of these things. We finished off the night with the recommended Cloud Cake (vanilla chiffon cake, coconut pastry cream, coconut + whipped cream icing). This thing was de-ca-dent. A nice, thicc sponge, a very coconuty cream, and a whipped icing with lots of coconut pulp in it. So heavenly. Overall, my socks were blown off.
