My friend and I got the Barrel Experience for our guys for Christmas and we just made the reservation on March. We had so much fun! Steven was an amazing guide and has the whole place set up perfectly. I would recommend eating before you come, they do have snacks, that were really good, but nothing like a heavy dinner, which we probably needed. And I think i might have drank the whole gallon of water just trying to keep my self sane. Ha! Water is abundant. The guys got to rate all the kinds of whiskey and then make their own bottle, they got to name their bottle and we brought home 2 glasses. What I really paid for was the Barrel Experience and a tasting. I could see this spot getting very busy on the weekends, so I will say we went on a Thursday and we basically had the place to ourselves. Leaving a YEE, I checked to see what was in the area and stumbled upon this. Buried within a side mall is this gem of a place that specializes in Whiskey/Bourbon. The owner was super friendly and even seemed happy to have me there which was awesome. I settled on a glass of Salted caramel Old Fashioned which packed a punch! He mentioned to me about their other special offerings and they also have a small bites menu to help offset those libations. Definitely a nice change of pace read more

We have been wanting to venture in for a long time. Finally got the chance to. We did a barrel and bottle tasting experience and it was awesome. Very neat experience. Staff is extremely kind and well versed. We tasted 22 barrels. Wheat, Rye, Barley and Bourbon barrels. We were able to take notes and decide what we wanted to create our own bottle. Really fun, learned a lot and this would be a great gift for the Whiskey lover! They have alternate drink choices for those who don't want to do the tastings and some small eats including pizza, charcuterie boards and Bavarian soft pretzels. I just had to come back and write about Barrel House! My husband and I love this place! We frequent it often and always enjoy it. The drinks are really good. I don't like whiskey but they offer some drinks that are not "whiskey forward "and they're very tasty. My husband almost always has their barrel aged Manhattan. It feels like you're welcomed into someone's home. The owners, Denise and Stephen, are warm and inviting. The couches and chairs are comfy. It's like being in a living room. My husband has recently gotten very into bourbon so we went to the "Barrel Experience" for his birthday. We were greeted by both owners upon entry. They were both so pleasant and you can tell they are very passionate about their establishment. Stephen explained all the barrels that were available for tasting and gave us a score card. Once my husband had picked his favorites of the wheats, barleys, bourbons, and ryes, the owner explained how to combine them in a mixture that would be delicious. He was so knowledgeable about the specific combinations and gave us suggestions on which one to take out. We were able to try 3 different combinations before we found THE ONE! I recently visited Barrel House with some family and friends. I had heard great things about it, however, I don't drink alcohol, so thought it would likely not be for me. We traveled from St. Charles, Missouri, and I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun we had. While my friends were enjoying cocktails that they raved about (they ordered the peach tea, blackberry margherita, and a blackberry slush,) I enjoyed one of their many non-alcoholic options including mocktails. The charcuterie board and Bavarian pretzels were out of this world. You can tell that what they offer is carefully sourced and lots of attention to detail. I also love that they offer seasonal items as well. The atmosphere was also a unique, speakeasy feel, providing various seating areas that make you feel at home. I love that they also try to source and sell locally made products that you can take home. Our group purchased delicious items some of which we had the opportunity to sample with the charcuterie board. There were lots of people doing what they call "the bottle experience," where they custom create their own blend of whiskeys and bourbons. Owners put tremendous care and thought into every nook and cranny of the place. We look forward to going back next week during one of their live music nights. They had 4 different mash bills of whiskey & bourbon at various barrel proofs and age you can thief straight out of the barrel and try. I think they had about 20 barrels there.
