Drinks here are FIRE! The Brain Freeze is exactly that! And food is delicious too! I had a recent birthday celebration here and it was EXCEPTIONAL! Glad my friend recommended it! The service was personable and kind. We went in the daytime during the week so it wasn't too busy. Had a blast outside in the patio that's gorgeous and also has an outside bar too! So this place is great for nightlife and is LGBTQ friendly!

This place is incredible I've been coming for a couple years now and my best suggestion is to get there around 5 PM so you can get your drinks without a long line. They frequently have shot girls or someone walking around. I like that because then I get to try the drinks without having to purchase a whole cup. i've never had a bad drink here or a slushy. They always have tons of events going on, a stage for shows, and it is a large bar with an inside and outside option that has a vintage garage door that opens up into the inside. The customer service is always outstanding as well and the people working the bar are always super friendly and they do not rush you through.

Anytime my family does a day in the grove, we always stop at Trops! The patio is the cutest space, and there's ton of space inside & outside. The service is always super quick and the prices are reasonable! Tons of options, their brunch menu looked delicious but it's only on Sundays. Can't wait to go back. '

Boozy slushies. Nothing more to it! If looking to get buzzed and drink frozen drinks, then you've come to the right place. While Narwhals is only a few minutes away for delicious crafted frozen cocktails, Trops is like it's college-aged cousin who's looking to party (there is even a slushie called "jungle juice!"). Simple service at the counter, large place to bring groups. Eatery inside that you can order from too but I didn't try it. Several options with different flavors and alcohol combinations. Cheap flights. The slushie consistency varies depending on which one you get and some are stronger than others too. Definitely a good option if enjoying a day in the grove!

I have now been to Trops twice, both times for Drag Brunch on Sundays. First the drinks. They have a decent selection of alcoholic slushies. I have tried any yet because I am too prone to brain freeze. There is also a good selection of shots and bombs. I got one of the coffee ones and it was pretty decent. I imagine 22 year old me would have tried them all by now *shrug* My favorite and already go-to cocktail here is a paloma. They also have a decent selection of beers on draft and in cans. Second, the food. Taco Circus has a little kitchen here. It is separate payment so you can't have a tab for bar and food. I recommend getting here early for brunch because the kitchen gets backed up quickly. It is a small menu, but each item is tasty. I love the migas plate! It has beans, rice, chorizo, and potatoes that you can eat separately or in combinations. Third, the entertainment! I love a good drag show and so far, they deliver. They have a regular cast of 3 with a guest performer. They interact well together and are very entertaining. At the end of the show, they stick around and take photos with folks who want.

I love trops! They have incredible frozen cocktails and a fun atmosphere. I haven't been but I know they do fun events on occasion (I walked in at the end of a drag brunch that looked lively and fun) Make sure to try a drink flight if you want to get more than one flavor! My personal favorite flavors are the red bird, raspberry lemonade and tiger paw. Only giving them a four star because there's usually a long line to get drinks, and last few times I've been there was only one person working the bar so service was slow.

It might be October, but St. Louis weather is more unpredictable that POTUS on post-covid steroid high. That means we get to suffer through a few more random days (thankfully) of brutal St. Louis summer heat. Even though you already broke out your sweaters and puffy vests, this weekend you're probably going to want to swap that pumpkin spice latte for something a little cooler. Head to trops. Nothing says summer like a frozen, boozie drink from one of the liveliest bars in the Grove. We recently cooled off from a small brewery crawl with some libations from this bar. The vibe at Trops is very laid back. It's the perfect place to cool off. They have so many flavors of slushies on their menu. What made this adventure even better was getting to mix some of the flavors together. I personally mixed a raspberry based drink with a lemonade drink. The combo was so refreshing! What I like most about drinks at Trops is that they are sweet without being overly sugary. Sometimes cocktails can leave you feeling not so great in the morning, but they have perfected the recipe here! During the pandemic, it appears they are using their main entrance on Manchester to operate their curbside pickup. There were chalk arrows to direct our group to the alley behind the building. In the middle of a massive (and poorly painted) blue wall there was a door to enter the patio. I'm guessing it's typically used as an emergency exit, but serves as the establishment's main entrance now. So don't fear, although it looks like Trops is closed from the street, you can still cool off all weekend long.

I'm from California every time I come to St. Louis I come to Trops. Today I met this bartender named Taylor extremely sweet even though she was going through a lot she maintained her customer service in a very professional I see Donavan every time I come n he is super cool and he always is awesome

Food's great. Service is phenomenal. This is my regular spot. There's something for everyone here.

Tropical liqueurs is a great place to go if you like frozen alcoholic drinks. They also serve regular alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. What I ordered: I got a small silver bullet. It was $5 for a cup that I'm guessing was 10 ounces (but I'm also not great in guessing ounce sizes so don't take my word for it). The silver bullet was just okay. I could still taste the alcohol. I was expecting not to since it's a frozen, fruity drink. These drinks are definitely drinks you need to babysit. Not because they will intoxicate you quickly, but because they are so cold! Trops is an interesting place in the grove. I would suggest trying it, it's just not for me.

Thank you Trops for not dismissing STL altogether after the last location closed. The grove is the perfect place for you to be and this location is awesome! I came here last Saturday with a friend and the place was jumping! Sadly because of the rain, the patio wasn't open, but even still, the place is huge with lots of seating. The variety of slushies here is great, just like the one in COMO. You can also mix the flavors to make your own boozy delight. The prices aren't bad either. The small is $5 and is definitely enough. The service by the barkeeps is also great. One day soon I'll come back and try the Guerrilla Street Food and enjoy the patio. Can't wait!

Basic daiquiri shoo. I got an Island Breeze. The music choice could have been better, there was A LOT of Drake. The layout of the space is nice, spacious and good for groups. They could use another pool table our more games for entertainment.

'ssippi is a new(ish) wine bar set towards the western end of the collection of bars, restaurants, and shops that are the heart of the strip. The inside has a large wrap about bar and some limited seating. There is a very good selection of wine and mixed drinks and an okay selection of beer. The prices are reasonable. There is a very limited food menu which largely consists of snacks rather than proper entrees. So this is a great pre/post drink spot rather than somewhere you would spend an evening. The bartenders were fine. Nothing stood out either in a good or bad way. The mixed drink my wife had was very good. The orange wine I had was good, a bit on the dry side but overall no complaints from either of us. Without a highlight of the spot is the large patio. It is mostly taken up by large bench style seating. So you have to be okay sitting next to strangers. I actually enjoy these types of settings and I ended up chatting up the group to our right. There are a couple tables but they are few and far between. There are some overhead canopies and lights, and there was a nice vibe and energy. I was there and it was crowded. I really enjoyed it. Just two additional things to note. The bathroom line was very long. It must only be one stall. The entire time I was there it was a dozen people deep. The only other downside is that my wife and I felt old. The vibe on a late(ish) Saturday night was mainly 20 year olds. If I was in grad school or a recent graduate I would absolutely adore this place. Even if your 30s this probably is a good vibe. Once you hit 40 though you may feel a bit out of place on busy nights (or it will make you feel young again!)

I tried the Pretty in Pink cocktail, which was well-balanced and enjoyable, though the pour felt a bit light for a martini. Normally one martini gives me a slight buzz, but that wasn't the case here. We started with the onion rings as an appetizer. The portion size was generous, and they were tasty overall, though they had a tangy seasoning dusted on top that seemed a little odd at first. Surprisingly, it still worked. I ordered the Good Burger, and it was honestly one of the most flavorful smash burgers I've ever had. I was genuinely impressed. I got the sauce on the side since it also came with the onion rings, and unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of it -- it was a bit runny and lacked flavor. My friend ordered the vegan burger and absolutely loved it. The inside of the restaurant was cute and had a great atmosphere, though there was an unusual smell indoors, so I was very thankful we were able to grab one of the outdoor tables.
