    As a follow-up to my earlier review, I wanted to share an update. In addition to the cosmetic issues I originally mentioned, which were promptly addressed, I later discovered a discrepancy between the tire standards reflected in CarMax's public-facing 125-point inspection and the measurement process being used in practice. That is something I believe should be clarified for future customers. After I raised my concerns and provided supporting documentation, including Tesla's official OEM tire replacement guidance, management approved replacement of all four tires. Of course, I would have preferred brand-name replacements, but I felt this was a fair resolution and decided to move forward. To their credit, Manuel, Brandon, and the service team at CarMax Burbank handled my concerns professionally, and I appreciate that management ultimately chose to make it right. My constructive suggestion is simple: CarMax should clarify the tire standards listed under its 125-point inspection so they accurately reflect the measurement process being used. That would help prevent unnecessary confusion for future customers. I'd also strongly recommend that anyone purchasing a vehicle take detailed photos of the car on the day of purchase, and again before any service visit, in case questions come up later.

    I found this 2017 Corolla Se I really liked on the carmax website. I thought it was worth the 1.5 hour drive to check out the car based on the pictures, CARFAX, and the minor imperfections that were disclosed on the carmax website. Unfortunately I arrived late in the evening and this car is black. It looked pretty good under the light though. I noticed there was a pretty bad stain on the headliner from what looks like a leak that wasn't disclosed in the website. Also the rear spoiler comes painted to match the car, yet this car's spoiler was just unpainted dull plastic. Also the car had a really bad smell of body odor. I asked if could get the stain out from the headliner and I was told they didn't don't have the capability required to get the stain out. The paint on the roof was also bad. It showed signs of wear. They said I could make an appointment to have it touched up. So I bought the car and drove it home. The next morning with the sun out, I got to take a good look at the car. There were far more imperfections than carmax had listed. The most noticable, all the small touch ups to the paint. It was done very sloppy with no attempts to blend into the existing paint, but only cover deep pits and scratches. Looks like it was done with nail polish tbh. The next thing I noticed was the rear trunk and bumper. That spoiler not being painted was a red flag. Which is what got me to notice the uneven gaps and spacing between the trunk and rear quarter panel. Very close and tight to the passenger side while very uneven and large on the driver side. And that's when I noticed the paint on the rear bumper and rear quarter panels on both sides. The car comes in this really pretty metallic black with fine blue refractions that sparkle really nicely..but the paint used to "blend" the rear bumper/ rear quarter panel is a nonmetallic solid black. At a glance, you don't really notice, but you can clearly see where there is an absence of blue refractors, also the clear coat was put on too thick and had dimples. With all these red flags, i feel like this car had been rear ended, although it's sold with "no known"" accidents. Also, the car was in really bad need of alignment. While driving at speeds greater of 25 miles the wheel pulls hard to the left. You're constantly adjusting the steering to keep the car straight. It's something that should've been taken care of before hand. In fact, the alignment is listed under the 125+ inspection that carmax says they follow on their website. They also say they detail the car to their standards... but parts of the steering wheel were sticky and whatever they used to wipe the interior reflective surfaces was left with a greasy film full of lint. I went to carmax because I thought they would have a higher standard for the vehicles they sell over that of a private seller. They should be ashamed of presenting prospective customers with vehicles in such poor condition. I expected better. I returned the car later that day. The manager said they had a guy that could take care of all the cosmetic issues, but when I asked about that the previous night I was told they didn't have the capability. I will say, John the sales guy, he was awesome. I felt bad because he actually stayed late to ensure everything went smooths with my purchase. Sorry Carmax, never again,

It took about 3 days in order to try to get a deal worked out for me and they went to every avenue and every corner to try to make this happen for me which let's be honest, a lot of places would have given up on me a long time ago. I get it, an old cop car through most banks would not qualify for financing BUT, it's the car that I wanted. Antonio brought me in sat me and my wife down and laid it all out on the table with nothing to hide and I not only appreciate that but, I respect that as well. That has to be the absolute fastest I've EVER gotten a car from any dealership ever! There were no hidden fees, no bs and no drama. I am beyond Appreciative for Antonio taking the time explain everything to me and my wife and for having the patience to deal with us. If you want not only a beautiful looking p71 BUT, an extremely dependable one and well that hasn't been beat to hell, this is definitely the place to go. I stand on that!

They treated as if we were low life people who would have to bend to their financing. When we told them we had our own financing with the credit union again they made us wait. Then told us that they would not work with the credit union and we had to come with a check. We arrived there at 9am. At 12pm, they tell us we need a check and they will not hold the car. We rushed to the credit union and lucky they helped us even though they were closing. We arrived back at Hertz about 2pm and when we arrived with the check they were surprised. They then said, we have a meeting so you have to wait until our meeting is done. We did not leave until after 3pm. We had not eaten all day. Worse car buying experience. Will never return. You may ask why we didn't leave which we were going to however, if we left, we would've lost the financing at the credit union so we were basically stuck. I'm meant to give a bad survey. I'm meant to write the corporate I never did and now we're back in the market to buy a car and I refuse to give them business. I hope you think about that when you go there.

It was going to be an extended repair so the vehicle had to be had for a good price. We found Car EZ motors through car gurus search. A pristine Mazda 3 popped up with good mileage and an even better price. We showed up unannounced wanting to take a look at the vehicle. The pictures did it no justice. When we saw the vehicle in person we were in awe because of how much better it looked compared to the pictures taken. Mind you this was the 5th dealership we had been to that day. All other vehicles in this price range were rolling garbage. My role was to make sure the vehicle was sound and had no mechanical issues. I brought with me my extensive knowledge in vehicles along with my personal scantool that I always use in every vehicle I own. After the walk around (the 5th of the day) I checked the oil, and pulled out my scan tool to check the codes. Eureka! No codes. .... Great price, looked good, no codes.. there has ti be a catch right? No catch what so ever. Joe was the nicest sales person I ever had to deal with. He made sure he checked all the boxes with customer service. He was kind, caring, polite and I felt went above in his assistance towards us fulfilling all of our needs. It had to be less than 30 minutes from when we arrived... checked the vehicle... test drive the vehicle... filled out the paperwork and drove off of the lot.     I'm not one to usually grip about a bad experience with a business but, this is a fair warning: 30…read moredays from the purchase date of a 2018 HyundaI, Elantra from Car EZ Motors proved not to be easy at all. The timing chain broke, the motor irreparable. A 3rd party repair shop determined that the motor showed recent repairs to the valves and pistons. When I contacted Joe at Car EZ there was no recourse. No warranty, no compensation, no offer to incur any expenses to bring the car to his shop to evaluate. He did gesture a break on labor for repairs. After discovering that the motor had been damaged and repaired and being told that the original motor was intact I decided to forgo any further dealings with Car EZ... I can't help but to feel cheated and taken advantage of. I am left with a $3500 debt to replace the motor with no financial reimbursement from Car EZ Motor. Stay clear, or get burned.
