I'm not one to usually grip about a bad experience with a business but, this is a fair warning: 30 days from the purchase date of a 2018 HyundaI, Elantra from Car EZ Motors proved not to be easy at all. The timing chain broke, the motor irreparable. A 3rd party repair shop determined that the motor showed recent repairs to the valves and pistons. When I contacted Joe at Car EZ there was no recourse. No warranty, no compensation, no offer to incur any expenses to bring the car to his shop to evaluate. He did gesture a break on labor for repairs. After discovering that the motor had been damaged and repaired and being told that the original motor was intact I decided to forgo any further dealings with Car EZ... I can't help but to feel cheated and taken advantage of. I am left with a $3500 debt to replace the motor with no financial reimbursement from Car EZ Motor. Stay clear, or get burned. read more

My ex wife and I were looking for a good reliable vehicle for her to get around in while her other vehicle was being fixed. It was going to be an extended repair so the vehicle had to be had for a good price. We found Car EZ motors through car gurus search. A pristine Mazda 3 popped up with good mileage and an even better price. We showed up unannounced wanting to take a look at the vehicle. The pictures did it no justice. When we saw the vehicle in person we were in awe because of how much better it looked compared to the pictures taken. Mind you this was the 5th dealership we had been to that day. All other vehicles in this price range were rolling garbage. My role was to make sure the vehicle was sound and had no mechanical issues. I brought with me my extensive knowledge in vehicles along with my personal scantool that I always use in every vehicle I own. After the walk around (the 5th of the day) I checked the oil, and pulled out my scan tool to check the codes. Eureka! No codes. .... Great price, looked good, no codes.. there has ti be a catch right? No catch what so ever. Joe was the nicest sales person I ever had to deal with. He made sure he checked all the boxes with customer service. He was kind, caring, polite and I felt went above in his assistance towards us fulfilling all of our needs. It had to be less than 30 minutes from when we arrived... checked the vehicle... test drive the vehicle... filled out the paperwork and drove off of the lot. It was the easiest process purchasing a vehicle in my short 38 years of life. Thank you Joe for your assistance. This place is anything but E-Z, hah! I purchased a car from here (at a fair price, to be honest) but it has been nothing but work since then. If you are willing to BASICALLY argue with the owner and walk off the lot multiple times, you will get out of there with a car at a fair price. Nothing about purchasing a car here was easy, I could only explain the experience as awful and I have told everyone I know to avoid this place like the plague. HERE IS A RUN DOWN OF WHY I WILL NEVER REFER THIS PLACE: I called in advance and let Joe know what car I was interested in coming to see the next day, I arrived and the car was FILTHY and the battery was dead. Poor planning. I let Joe know when I called that I planned to take it to a shop I trusted and had an appointment- when I showed up he said I was not allowed to take it anywhere to be looked at (even though the signs all over the walls of his office say it is CA law that you can have a used car looked at by a mechanic before purchasing). I walked off the lot. He comes to his senses a bit and says I can take it to a mechanic within TWO miles, so here I am on a Saturday trying to find a mechanic in the afternoon within two freaking miles of this place. Are you seriously that cheap, Joe? You can't afford 5 miles each way on a car? I find a mechanic, Joe insists coming with us. (Anyone that has ever purchased a used car will be like... wtf?...) Car salesman never comes with but Joe obviously has some big problem with it. So he comes along, I check in the car for a 180-point inspection which will take at least an hour. Joe has a problem with how long it will take and literally has someone come pick him up at the shop and bring him back to his crappy car yard. Do you have any experience??? Is this your first used car sale, ever??? Get with the times, people want to have used cars looked at by a third party... Especially ones that wouldn't start an hour ago. Inspection is done and the mechanic lets me know that the oil filter hasn't been changed since June of 2014..... This is March of 2017. As well as some unreported work done on the car-- um?? Why isn't that being advertised or on the report??? And minor issues like sensors. I'm a younger woman and have bought 4 used cars over the last 3 years, I know what I am willing to pay for the car at this point. If I can get the price to what I want it to be, the car is worth my time.. STILL. Even at this point. Joe was not willing to budge on price. Expected me to pay late fees for him not registering the car in ALL of the months it sat on his lot. Lied multiple times, typically sleazy salesman. Almost impossible to get him to act like an adult and coming here is basically like buying a car in Tijuana, feels unprofessional and sketchy and irritating. Joe supposedly has a long history of being a Mercedes Benz salesman which is INCREDIBLY unbelievable. Look at what he is offering on his lot. Cars above 130,000 miles, cars with unreported work done, Mercedes with cracked windshield, etc. I drove off in the car that day. A couple miles away I notice a clicking sound- nail in the tire. Maybe that's why I wasn't allowed to go to a mechanic more than 2 miles away, I would start to realize ALLLLLLL of the things wrong with this freaking car. I bring the car back, they seal the tire. I drive off. Since that day, I've done ALL of the sensors, replaced tires that had cuts from unreported accident, had to buy the spare tire missing from my car, had to replace 2 panels, had to buy the decals that were stolen out of my rims from this place, had my AC condenser drained and then replaced, and now I need to figure out what to do about all of the clips they broke taking off the bumper... Probably an entire new bumper is needed. This is all to say, ONLY COME HERE IF YOU ARE REALLY GETTING A GOOD PRICE ON THE CAR AND HAVE MONEY PUT ASIDE TO WORK ON THE CAR!!!!! I will never return and will never recommend anyone I know. I would honestly say, save yourself the trouble- I wish I had. There are lots of small lots with fair prices like this one in the area.. The difference is that other places have smart/considerate owners and won't try to rip you off. Joe and his office also do an AWFUL job with the paperwork. read more

I came to this place in good faith 3 months ago and now the check engine light is on, smoke is coming out of it, back reverse light not on, and from the beginning the transmission felt off. Car EZ Motors is a great place to buy inexpensive used vehicles. I bought a convertible Mini Cooper at CarEZ. After I got it home, I noticed an oil leak. I called Joe, CarEZ owner, and he had me bring it right back to CarEZ. His mechanic diagnosed the problem, a power steering leak, and fixed it. There are no more drips on my driveway. I have been struggling financially for several years and in May 2015 I finally was able to put together the money to purchase a 2000 Hyundai Accent with low mileage. One of the selling points was the limited warranty for the engine and drive train. After a few weeks of commuting twelve miles each way to my new job, a problem developed in the differential. The owner of Car EZ Motors did honor his warranty, although a bit reluctantly, and an attempt to recalculate how much would be covered. He did go back to the original amount. Joe,the owner, has problems completing the required paperwork. He failed to pay the license and registration fees promptly, blaming the auction company for the delay. He had to be encouraged to do what should have been earlier. As of this date he has not sent all required paperwork to DMV, resulting in no license or registration in my possession. The only reason I gave two stars was his response to the repairs and I couldn't give one and one half stars. If you must buy a car here, keep a close eye on him. read more

Our daughter saved up to buy a used car and we found one listed here and came to check it out. She liked it so she purchased it and we drove away with it. Unfortunately, on the way home the check engine light came on. We notified Joe about this, and he said to bring it back and he will fix whatever it is, because he gave us a limited warranty on the engine and transmission. We don't live nearby, so we brought it the following Saturday and left it there for a week, to pick up the following Saturday. When we came to get it, everything was in working order and Joe had even fixed a couple of other things that we didn't even discuss, or was related to the check engine light. They were minor things but we found it to be very considerate. Everyone's nervous about buying a used car, and we know that there aren't many guarantees if any. Joe not only followed through to take care of what he promised to do, he went above and beyond to do some other things for us on the vehicle, that were greatly appreciated. We did read other reviews that complained about this business, but we had a very good experience buying a car here, and I could only recommend buying a used car from here instead of some private person at their personal residence. I wouldn't hesitate buying another vehicle from Car EZ Motors in the future, based on good experience that we had with our recent car purchase from them. read more

The latest was a pick-up truck which I needed on pretty short notice since my older one blew a head gasket and left me stranded. I reviewed the truck on the website before I arrived which was very detailed and a lot of pictures. After I arrived, literally within an hour I was driving off the lot after a quick loan approval. Hi everyone, I recently purchased a used 2009 Subaru Forester from Car E-Z Motors a few weeks ago. I actually contacted the general manager/owner, Joe Hajj, before a picture of the car was even put on the Car E-Z Motors website and went to check the car out personally shortly after. When I arrived on the car lot, Joe had actually just left to run some important errands but immediately dropped everything and came back as fast as he could just so he can answer a few of my questions regarding the car. Joe was very kind, pleasant, and respectable during our initial conversation. He told me everything there was to know about the car including any and all the car features as well as flaws (i.e. cosmetic damages); he was very straight forward with everything and he really wanted me to know "the good, the bad, and the ugly" aspects of the car. He said he knew the significance of buying a car and thus kept reiterating the importance of giving me every single piece of information about the car. I was even provided a copy of the CarFax (which is conveniently available to anyone on their website for free). This was a big deal for me because it showed that he wanted me to make the best informed decision about buying the car and that he was not just focused on making a sale. This also showed me that Joe is not only a standout salesman, but a trustworthy person. After I bought the car, I experienced some unexpected complications. I immediately called Joe and he walked me through what he would do to take care of the problem and kept reiterating that it was his problem and not my own; he even used his own AAA to tow my car back to his car lot. I went along with him and met his mechanic, Tommy, who worked on my car. Tommy was very friendly and knowledgable about cars and he explained every little step that he was doing while diagnosing the problem with my car. Joe paid for most of the repairs and I am now driving the car without any problems. As you can tell from my experience, Joe is the type of person that goes above and beyond to make sure that his customers are very happy. I bought my Subaru from them in Nov of 2016 it has not run since.Bought a rebuilt motor for them to install wich they say they did but NOT TRUE! What the hell did you do with MY motor? I was looking for a "Daily Gas saver car" at the moment when I came across them through google "car dealerships near me" and i was just looking at their inventory since they had nice reviews and I saw they have my a car that i actually like before which is a 98 honda civic with LOW MILES and Original parts (crazy! I know!) anyways there was no pictures up yet so i called to ask if it's available and Joe which is the Owner/Salesperson helped me get that car by being patient going various ways to get the car and the prices went up after a week (i saw the car during black friday) but he kept his word and sold it to me what we had talked about which i truly appreciate. Anyways I give them a 4 stars because the car had a problem (map sensor) but they fixed it 3 days after 1st visit. 2nd visit was when i took the car home but it rained the day before and the car was dirty outside and gas tank was 1/4 only.
