I had also spoken with Steve, the manager, prior and after this came up and he was just as patient and helpful.

Unusual is this location has tons of asphalt and better selection of parts than some bay area…read morelocations. Currently lots of Chevy S10 trucks and mid 90s in great condition. I was very surprised to see all the asphalt here. 90% of it including the major walkways. Most PickNpulls are all on gravel. The major problem is its easy to loose sockets and screws that you might drop. Also its a bit slower to walk on and to maybe roll something heavy on. Currently lots of Chevy s10s with really great interiors. I'm not sure why but they weren't all picked at as most other locations would have been. Got some visors - in better condition than mine. Had been looking for years - never found anything decent. Mine are saggy and my passenger side has the mirror cover broken off - no longer. Also got a minor thing that was missing from my truck - a tail gate liner. Went to check the w123 340d. It was fresh on the lot. Grabbed a dashboard cover but really wanted the cluster which was already gone. It was a 4 speed with blue interior that was in great condition. The driver seat looked almost perfect with exception for one tiny portion of piping. These seats tend to wear like iron but after 40 years they are getting rare. People snap them up fast. Took a look at the domestics. Saw an Achieva and a similar year 94 Grand AM. Those are basically the same cars - but the Oldsmobile had a much better interior fabric quality. I never looked inside one of those - but remember them all over 30 years ago. I can't remember the last time I saw one on the road. Prices are ok. If you a coupon shopper - there is a toolkit reward and certain parts are on sale at certain times.

Good for some fun, but not worth it usually at this location anyway…read more Went for a transmission cover. On there site it said around $20, they charged around $40- the price of a brand new one that comes with a new gasket. When Asked about it two employees said they ring it up as an oil pan. It's not an oil pan, and again, there site said around $20. They didn't listen. Very disappointing and a waste of an hour getting that bugger out. Sometimes you get some good finds though.

Sold my vehicle to Carvana but they didn't have what I wanted…read more Found this dealership on CarGurus. The 2 gentlemen who work @ this car lot (Chad & Caesar) are very accommodating, low pressure, & professional unlike some other car lots I have visited this month. All the vehicles on this car lot are one car owners, low mileage, plus a full & complete car check is performed not to mention new tires were installed on the hybrid vehicle I purchased. This lot sets the standard for used car sales. The only thing better than these vehicles is a CPO but you get for what you pay or in this case you get more bang for the buck. I am considering buying another vehicle from them in the future.

DO NOT COME HERE; they will lie to you and sell you a car that will not be worth what you paid for…read more They are unethical and only care about taking your money. I purchased a vehicle from Carbusters and within 2 days had it inspected by my mechanic. The inspection revealed numerous serious issues, including diagnostic trouble codes, evidence that an extender had been installed between the exhaust and O2 sensor, and concerns that someone may have attempted to conceal a catalytic converter-related problem. My mechanic also found that the rear brake pads had less than 1 mm of material remaining (approximately 5% life left), the front tires needed replacement, and several other mechanical issues. The check engine light came on almost immediately after driving the vehicle. After contacting the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR), I was informed that the presence of the O2 sensor extender could make the sale illegal. BAR also advised me that the vehicle had previously failed a smog inspection in 2023 due to a catalytic converter code and was reportedly driven only about 150 miles before later passing a smog inspection in November 2024. I have photographs of the extender, a written report from my mechanic, and my mechanic is willing to serve as a witness regarding the vehicle's condition. Despite presenting these concerns and requesting to exercise my contract cancellation option, Carbusters has refused to take the vehicle back or issue a refund. My experience has been extremely disappointing. I would strongly encourage anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from this dealership to have an independent pre-purchase inspection performed and thoroughly research the vehicle's history before signing any paperwork.

I'm toward the end of the Volkswagen "Clean Diesel" emissions control mess and I'm going to need a…read morereplacement. Since these two lots supposedly belong to the same people as the Volkswagen dealer, it will be convenient to return the car to the VW dealer and shop the two lots. I spent some time at the lot next to the VW/Hyundai dealer and no one came to see me. That's odd. I've been to car lots where I would only be halfway out of my car and someone would be there to greet me. In any case, prices are clearly marked. Some of the cars are previous rentals, so they should have had all scheduled maintenance. They list which cars were rentals on the web site but not on the price listing. The other lot, next to the Nissan and Dodge dealers is somewhat mixed with the new vehicles and it's a bit confusing what is used (excuse me, pre-owned) and what is new. On a previous visit, a salesperson was quite helpful. This time, a salesperson stared a me, as if to figure out whether I had money or not, and then, went about his business without a word to me. I really don't want to buy a car now, but the mess is forcing this. If the sales people don't want to bother, what incentive do I have to shop there?
