Unusual is this location has tons of asphalt and better selection of parts than some bay area locations. Currently lots of Chevy S10 trucks and mid 90s in great condition. I was very surprised to see all the asphalt here. 90% of it including the major walkways. Most PickNpulls are all on gravel. The major problem is its easy to loose sockets and screws that you might drop. Also its a bit slower to walk on and to maybe roll something heavy on. Currently lots of Chevy s10s with really great interiors. I'm not sure why but they weren't all picked at as most other locations would have been. Got some visors - in better condition than mine. Had been looking for years - never found anything decent. Mine are saggy and my passenger side has the mirror cover broken off - no longer. Also got a minor thing that was missing from my truck - a tail gate liner. Went to check the w123 340d. It was fresh on the lot. Grabbed a dashboard cover but really wanted the cluster which was already gone. It was a 4 speed with blue interior that was in great condition. The driver seat looked almost perfect with exception for one tiny portion of piping. These seats tend to wear like iron but after 40 years they are getting rare. People snap them up fast. Took a look at the domestics. Saw an Achieva and a similar year 94 Grand AM. Those are basically the same cars - but the Oldsmobile had a much better interior fabric quality. I never looked inside one of those - but remember them all over 30 years ago. I can't remember the last time I saw one on the road. Prices are ok. If you a coupon shopper - there is a toolkit reward and certain parts are on sale at certain times. read more

Good for some fun, but not worth it usually at this location anyway. Went for a transmission cover. On there site it said around $20, they charged around $40- the price of a brand new one that comes with a new gasket. When Asked about it two employees said they ring it up as an oil pan. It's not an oil pan, and again, there site said around $20. They didn't listen. Very disappointing and a waste of an hour getting that bugger out. Sometimes you get some good finds though. read more

This place is a joke, been here 3-4 times in the past, but today was the last time I come here. Besides the bad customer service. I drove 35 min after work rushing to get there before 5:30 before they don't let people in. Got there at 5:28, no one at the check in window what I pay, window was open no one there, I speak a bit loud to see if anyone was around, from the other side of the entrance. Where people pay. 2 girls asked if I need something, of course I do, I need to pay to get in . By that time Is 5:31 pm. And they tell me I can't get it bc it's 5:30. I said, well I got here at 5:28, drove a boy far. Can you let me in? I'm not removing parts just want to see if the truck I need parts from still here. (Since the website is never accurate). She say no, we can let you in. I explained again, I just need to see if the parts are there. I'll pay takes 5 min, I'll come back tomorrow & remove the parts. She said no, 3rd time, I said, well, I was here before 5:30 but since there's no one in the front. That's why it's past 5:30. She still didn't care. I mean, the place was dead, only one car on the parking lot, i understand there's rules. But I wasn't gonna remove parts, I had no tools & my work clothes. I know they could have let me in, but chose bad customer service. It's a junk yard, trash pretty much, that explains the trash service. I live an hour away, now I have to come back hopping the parts are there. But at this point I rather just keep looking. I buy parts for old trucks, restoration projects, I go to multiple pick n pulls in the valley & Bayarea. By far this place has always had the worse service. read more

Very short with me charged me $4 to enter pick and pull, which I think it was only supposed to be $3. They had a horrible inventory. They didn't even ask if I needed any help very rude. I end Up finding the part on Amazon brand new and is very cheap. read more

Needed a part. Go to Pick n' Pull and get one? So the new part is 17.99, The used part at pick n pull, 23.99 plus 3 bucks entry. I tell the yard super, he says so that's our price. vehicles are pretty trashed and was looking for some wire connectors and hardware for a Honda civic each one was at opposite corners of the yard and when i got to the front the prices where just as expensive and in some cases more than new so ended up just buying new parts online. read more

Was looking at selling a Volkswagen, filled out their web form on Friday, got an Offer for a bit over $500, Ok, not the best, but better than keeping the car sitting in the garage. E-Mail arrives, they state they will contact us within 25 business hours. Saturday, no contact, Sunday no contact (Not really expecting call on non business days) , Monday, no contact, check e-mail. see "We tried calling you e-mail" (no missed calls in the phone, love how they log Every call) Call them back, and it's "well it's been over 24 hours, we can only offer you a bit over $100 as it's been over 24 hours" Really ? Friday to Monday is over 24 business hours ? With no call coming in on Saturday or Sunday ?? I'd rather give it to Cars for Vets or any charity for the tax write-off than let you offer a fraction of what you offered Friday. read more

Takes forever to answer and when they do answer they leave you on hold for a long time

I looked on the website to get all the info I could about the part I needed before I went to the yard. Was not crowded at all and the ladies working the entrance were very helpful and polite. Had no issues locating the part I needed and was completely blown away by the price they charged!! It was a fraction of what it would cost elsewhere. I get that you have to pull your part but that is not an issue at all, save lots of money. The yard was organized well and I was in and out. Will definitely recommend and will return if I need more parts. read more

Today they deny me access due to my medical condition Pretty sad way to repay a loyal customer. They stated they are a private business and can refuse whomever they want. Thanks guy. I had an old beater sitting in front of my house for a few months now. I decided to skip the hassle of craigslist and call up pick n pull per my buddies suggestion. I gave them a call, they asked me a small list of questions about the vehicle and then quoted me a price. I told them what I was wanting for it, we went back and forth and ended up in the middle as expected. They arranged pick up on a saturday. The driver called early and was very polite. He wanted to know if I was available sooner. Not a problem, he came right on time, in and out in about 10mins. Literally. Check in hand, a couple of signatures and the vehicle on the tow truck. I only have 2 stars because on Friday August 9th 2019 I was cashing out and the lady was so dam rude I just left the stuff there at the window and walked away. I have never been treated that bad there. She needs to be trained in customer service. Or find a job where she looks at 4 walls and has no contact with people. I went back on Sat. And the young man cashing people out was very nice and helpful. What a major difference. I hope management sees this and has a chat with her. That was very uncalled for. I go there all the time. I'm a tool box member. If I see her again. I will just ask for my $2 back and come back when she is not there. I refuse to spend money with rude people. read more

And every single person I've talked to who frequents the local auto junkyards feels exactly the same way. Why is it so bad? Let's examine the facts: * Many parts have near OEM prices - they have been quickly ratcheting up prices over the years and some things have DOUBLED in short period of time. If you want a routine everyday part, then buy it at another yard. If they have something rare/unique, then it's worth it. I don't want to pay $10 for a two feet piece of body trim anymore myself. Some of this stuff is literally 1/3rd of the prices at other P-N-P's. * They will nickel and dime you for every single piece that could be charged for. For example, a rear seat with headrests. Now, the average laymen would ascertain that headrests are a part of the seat. But they want to charge PER headrest and thus making the item almost twice the cost of it's listed price. If anything has relays/switches, count on paying for each item. And no, most of their other stores don't follow this practice typically. * The store manager FROM HELL - think Lumberg from Office Space bad. * Poor turnover in automobiles. Cars may be in the yard months and they are TRASHED and have nothing worthy left on them. Other yards, i.e. Sac, Rancho, get a quicker turnaround and have fresh cars. * And some yokels are getting enjoyment out of smashing windows and headlights here as well. I've pretty much given up on this place. I think their greed and irrationality are attempts to make up for slower business but it's just driving people away. I usually just go to Stockton's P-N-P these days. They have half-off days usually once a month, these are the best days to give this yard a shot. Just come early before the crowd. read more

I rebuilt an entire 1962 Ford Falcon Ranchero out of this place. Those cars are hard to find, but we got 80% of the parts here. Pick n Pull's are altogether mediocre. Sacramento has brand specific junkyards if this place doesn't suit your needs. The taco truck here is the best pick n pull taco truck I've ever been to. End of Story. read more

I see a lot of negative comments here and would like to say I have never had a bad experience. Their cars are always different and the place is clean for a junkyard. Staffs always been helpful and the admission is to offset environmental cost and I can get with that idea. The entrance will get your car make/model and search the database and give you a paper with exactly where whichever car/parts are your looking for. The cars are always completely destroyed as if people go there just to f*ck sh*t up and not actually buy anything. $2 to get in, so I take a shift knob just to make up for it. They have a list of part prices on the outside and inside. Everything is way overpriced. They expect almost brand new dealership prices for old crap that's most likely broken one way or another.
