We saw two vehicles online but ended up test driving and considering four. They have new vehicles coming in just as fast as they're selling them. BMW, Mercedes, Tesla, Dodge, GMC - they will likely have what you're looking for. For us, we're a Tesla family through & through. Can't beat the reliability and cost of ownership on top of the increasingly pampering features being auto-updated every year. They had at least a dozen Teslas on their lot, and more off-site. Their selection is like digging into Mary Poppins bag, they just keep pulling out so much more than you expect. Second surprise: Paul Paul was courteous and knowledgeable, as expected, from the start. He showed us the two vehicles we saw online, about 6 more that looked great, and even a couple models that we weren't even planning on considering - again, great selection. Manic Motors was our very first stop in our car shopping adventure and, despite the great prices, I could not allow myself to be 'sold' at my first stop - just a personal conviction in life. We left Manic Motors in hopes of finding more great offers elsewhere. This is where Paul surprised us. He cautioned us about being aware of some shady practices but wished us well in our search. Come to find out, Paul was absolutely right TWICE with two separate dealerships - one had promised a particular feature online & over the phone, but couldn't fake the Carfax report, the other dealership had almost no knowledge of Teslas (how to open the doors, calculate range at full charge, types of configurations, etc.) and were extremely pushy - even to the point of lying to our face. *** BAD REVIEWS on Livermore Toyota and Tracy Hyundai coming soon! *** But, back to Paul. Just before we discovered the 3rd dealership was ultra-pushy, we had messaged Paul that we found a vehicle that was a slightly better year and trim than what he had on his lot. He was gracious and congratulated us. We waited two days for this car and THEN we saw the ugly side of the 3rd dealership. Although our daughter liked this car a slight bit more than all the others we saw that week, I refuse to purchase anything from someone who disrespects my wife and daughter. Needless to say, we went back to Paul since they did have my daughter's very-close-second-place vehicle. Paul was amazing. He welcomed us back, gave us a great price, and made the buying experience pain-free. It's a different world today than it was when I was growing up. More and more difficult to trust people at their word these days. This was a hard lesson that Paul warned us about and it hit us immediately after leaving Manic Motors. Paul was genuine and up-front about the whole process, what he's able to do and what he couldn't. In a world where promises are often counterfeited, even from seemingly large & established businesses, it imperative to find someone you can trust. Paul and Manic Motors earned our trust and our future business. We'll be checking with them soon for Teslas for our soon-to-be-driving younger children. Before starting to work on your car, they do a thorough car inspection so you don't spend money where you car doesn't need it. From what I've seen, they seem to have an very clean aesthetic to their work. This isn't your typical 'pimp my ride' shop... They spend great effort in making everything look like it belongs with the design of the car.

I contacted Steve a few months ago to solve some nagging issues with brakes and steering on the '70 Mustang convertible I've had since high school that is gradually evolving into a badass ride. I usually work with a shop closer to home that is convenient, has experience with Mustangs literally from 1965-, does great work, but is a little less custom oriented. I chose EBMC after seeing their work at a Good Guys show and it helps that the owner has the same year Mustang and the same steering rack that I do! Pro tip: take your car to a shop where the owner drives the same ride you do. I got a shop tour where I was impressed with the cleanliness and professionalism of the shop - there were a few details I was impressed with, like a spoiler integrated with the trunk lid on a customer's car done in real metal that was way better than a lot of the fiberglass jobs I've seen. These guys can do great metalwork on your ride if you need it. After dropping it off and getting a thorough inspection, they noticed a few odds and ends that weren't buttoned down right and a few bigger issues. They fought with the steering rack manufacturer for a solution on my behalf, and we couldn't get anything from them since the rack was older and my steering radius issue came from the steering stops, not the rack itself. I know it's a good product since, well, the owner runs the same rack. Brakes were dealt with with an eye to safety - they made a better brake pushrod and diagnosed a master cylinder that was too large. The brakes are a lot safer than before and have a nice gradual modulation to them. New brake lines were made because the old ones were deteriorating and pushing junk into the front right brake piston. Some carb tuning was done, and after it warmed up on a cold morning after sitting for a week it ran like a dream. Bottom line - Steve and Jeff and their team smoothed out some of the rough edges on my ride and I know I'll be back for more as I get closer to finishing the project. I can't think of a better bunch of guys in the area to help it along.

I made it clear that I lived a few towns over and it would take me about 45 minutes to an hour to get there. He acknowledged this and told me to come on by. When I arrived at the dealership, there was no one there. I texted the same person I had spoken with, and he replied saying he was trying to get in touch with the people who were supposed to be working. He eventually told me they had an emergency and wouldn't be back until 5:30 PM -- keep in mind, we spoke around 2:45 PM. No one contacted me to cancel or reschedule. I wasted my time and gas for nothing. This kind of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. I will not be waiting around, and I definitely will not be coming back. If this is how they treat potential customers, I can't imagine how they handle sales or service.

Probably by far, the highest quality custom car shop I've experienced. They don't cut corners, they…read morearen't what I'd call a high-volume shop, and their billing policy is fair. Essentially, you have to keep a $5K balance on account. I find that acceptable, as most of the initial risk is for the shop doing the work, so I'm cool with it. It limits the risk on both ends, and gives the shop a small initial advantage. Either side can divorce with only $5K of funds in contention. When you're talking large project dollars, that's maybe a week of work lost if either side thinks things aren't working out. Communication has been very good. I haven't had many opportunities to visit the shop, but I get detailed invoices and occasional shop photos of the work completed. None of it has been superfluous or just adding on goodies I don't need or are out of scope for the project. I get great questions about how far I want to go, and have dialed-back a few suggestions because I have a longer term plan for for the car. I don't feel oversold about anything. Shop is also very responsive if I want to communicate with Leonard or anyone else that has sent me questions. I, specifically, handed my car off to them and said, "I don't have a date I need it back." I've been very happy with the work they've done over the last two years, and we're very, very close to being done. Their work has been meticulous.
