I was searching 2 months for a used reliable affordable vehicle, and I just couldn't find a place anywhere due to the current rise in vehicle prices (May 2021). I needed to buy a car on a limited budget recently, and I had to do it quickly. I went to a few other places around Tracy but at JRA, I was more comfortable with completing my purchase. I talked to the owner and told him what I needed, and he was able to show me two cars, both Honda's with low mileage. I was able to test drive, but both cars were so close to what I needed, that it took a second test drive for me to decide which one I preferred. How often do you find two great deals that make it so you can't decide? I ended up getting a 2008 Honda Civic and I was happy, but a couple days after my purchase, my back hubcap fell off when I was driving. I text messaged rizwan and let him know, and sent pictures of the hubcaps that were still on. At first it seemed like nothing would happen from letting him know, but a week later he sent me my permanent registration, along with a check a note saying he would cover the cost of the missing hubcap. I have bought 3 cars (2011 Nissan Leaf, 2013 Nissan Leaf, 2016 Mazda 3) from JRA Imports has, each time been friendly, businesslike and above all honest! Whatever they say about used car salesman, that is not what Rizwan is. In fact after the first in person purchase I was confident enough in Rizwan to purchase the next two cars based on pictures, videos he took for me and his opinion of the cars. During the shipping of the Mazda (by an independent car hauler) the drivers side mirror was damaged. Rizwan went to bat for us and kept in touch with the hauler about reimbursement for the parts my son had to purchase. It's been about 4 months and I had forgotten about the issue when I got an email form Rizwan this morning. He had received a reimbursement check payable to him from the hauler and was notifying us to send us the money! I feel that someone less honest would have just pocketed the check and, at best, waited until I inquired about it again. He's a real stand up guy! Decent service getting my car with affordable prices and offered decent money for a trade in. However, the dealer failed to disclose everything that was wrong with the vehicle and instead answered with "We only care that the car runs." They did not cover the following year's registration even though they had already received the invoice for it. They informed me that they do not handle registration, yet other posts on this forum says that they do. I'm giving it two instead of one because I didn't even give the people a chance to come talk to me so they get the benefit of the doubt there. We drove a couple hours out here to look at three cars specifically and they were filthy inside, tires nearly balding and one of the cars for sale even had a spare tire on it rather than a real one. Some of their newer cars look really nice but I don't trust a place that doesn't clean the car and put new tires on it. If the inside/outside of the car isn't clean, then under the hood sure isn't clean. Everything sold as is. No warranties. read more

I bought a used 2012 Nissan Leaf in March with less than 44,000 miles on it. The car's interior and exterior were in excellent condition. The salesperson, Rizwan, was personable, accommodating, professional and knowledgeable. A pleasant experience all around! On a side note: Although the car's battery capacity was only at approximately 70% (it dropped to eight bars a couple of days ago), Nissan will replace it with a new 2015 specifications battery pack later this month since it is still under warranty. read more

The price was good, I like the car, it runs well, and the salesperson, Rizwan, was very nice, helpful, and responsive. He even drove with me to the nearby rental car agency so I could return my rental car and drive my new car back home, which was very helpful. I bought a 2013 Toyota Corolla here and Rizwan was very helpful. I had test driven the car and felt the brakes felt a little spongy if that is even the right word to where I didn't feel like the brakes felt like they should. So at that point, I test drove a 2008 Toyota Corolla and Rizwan had the brakes from the 2013 checked out for me. I test drove the car again and the brakes felt like they should. I bought the 2013 Toyota Corolla. About a week later, the low tire pressure light came on so at least I knew that light was working. Took the car to a shop and yes i did need to replace the tires because the thread was low but I am glad the light came on for the tires. After replacing the tires, I took two road trips to Oceanside to see my niece. It was a 6 hour drive and both times, the car drove beautifully. No problems on the drive. I still kept in touch with Rizwan since I tend to be inpatient and was waiting for the title to the car and the registration tags. Rizwan kept me up to date with what was going on and I finally got the title and tags to the car. JRA Imports has many Toyotas available .... One more thing, I always look at the Carfax when I am interested in a car and the car I was interested in (the one I bought) had a recall on it. I let Rizwan know and he got the recall taken care of before I came in to test drive the car. Great service all around. read more
