I had a very disappointing experience with MHZ AUTO. I saw a vehicle listed on OfferUp and called ahead to confirm it was still available. The person I spoke to confirmed the car was on the lot and agreed that I could come by to test drive it. I made it clear that I lived a few towns over and it would take me about 45 minutes to an hour to get there. He acknowledged this and told me to come on by. When I arrived at the dealership, there was no one there. I texted the same person I had spoken with, and he replied saying he was trying to get in touch with the people who were supposed to be working. He eventually told me they had an emergency and wouldn't be back until 5:30 PM -- keep in mind, we spoke around 2:45 PM. No one contacted me to cancel or reschedule. I wasted my time and gas for nothing. This kind of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. I will not be waiting around, and I definitely will not be coming back. If this is how they treat potential customers, I can't imagine how they handle sales or service. read more

I bought a used Mercedes-Benz ML 500 at the end of December, 2023. I was very concerned about not receiving a run-around after contacting other dealerships and either not hearing back at all or requesting new credit information after I already provided everything that was asked for. I took the trip from San Jose to Tracy, hoping for the best, and I did, in fact, get the best. Melissa was extremely helpful and speedy and very transparent in all of her actions, also offering helpful advice. She informed me that she had test driven the car and replaced the breaks after determining this was needed and all I had to wait for were the installation of sensors that she was able to do that day. I had to let her know that I was concerned about the low gas level, and she rectified this issue as well. When I was able to bring the car for a check up to AAA a couple of weeks later, all it needed was oil and a new battery. Needless to say, I am extremely happy with the car and the amazing service I received. I didn't have to worry about DMV registration either, since she took care of that as well. Could not be happier with our purchase and experience. We were in need a of good, reliable used car. New to the area we have spent over a month searching and meeting with different dealerships. Not only did they offer a variety of vehicles within our price range; Michael was quick to respond to our request and stayed in direct communication with us throughout the process, something no other dealer had done thus far. When it came time to test drive and purchase Michael was not in the office but he made sure to route us to Moiz and relay all our information correctly so we didnt have to go over our specifications ect. for a second time. Do not buy your car from these guys. We got our Honda from them a few months ago and it has been nothing but a money suck ever since unit the engine finally died. Everything was wrong with the car, the AVS was broken, the axels were broken, the rotors were worn and eventually, the timing belt destroyed the motor. They told us the car was perfectly fine and there were no issues. They are looking to cheat you and sell you a lemon. Save your time and your wallet and don't go here. read more

Really good place fast and easy

After almost walking away as no one approached us on the lot, we were finally approached and test drove a truck. Solid vehicle, but not clean or really in Show like condition and needed some things addresses. After a brief negotiation, we agreed on price and items that needed to be done. They completed all the items, shined it up and delivered it to my home! I am giving them 5 stars for their attention to detail, follow up, ease of negotiation and customer service. I needed a good, reliable commuter car and went to MHZ Auto to see what they had. I was either thinking of going with a minivan to use with all my grandkids or just a smaller car. I didn't want a payment and really wanted to pay cash. Michael helped me to find a 2010 Nissan Versa and it was totally in my budget. I got the car several months ago and meant to put a review on, but forgot until now. Everything could not have gone better, from registering the car to driving it for all these months with no challenges at all. It has been perfect for me and I've already put 31,000 miles on it with no problems! I love this car and I will be looking to upgrade to a lower mileage car soon and will come back to MHZ Auto Sales again to get another one! I know when you buy a used car it is very hard to always know if the car will break down soon, as a dealer can't know this either. Older cars usually have things need to be replaced. Some people will try to blame the dealer. I purchased mine knowing it was "As IS" This car has been a gem, and I know that they will do their best to help me find my next one! read more
