We had scheduled an appointment and when we showed, he promptly took us out to see the car, a Chevy Volt, and let us take it for a test drive. Once we were back, we discussed our concerns and settled on a cash deal in about 5 minutes. Then about 20 minutes of paperwork later, we paid and we were done. Super easy and straightforward. We were off the lot with the car within about an hour after our arrival, including a 20 minute test drive. I'll definitely be checking with Abe on my next purchase. Before getting into the truck, I specifically asked about the price and was told it would be $325 per hour. The trip took about one hour, so I reasonably expected a bill of around $325-$650 at most. However, after arriving, I was charged approximately $1,300. The company explained that I was being billed not only for the actual towing time, but also for the driver's travel time to reach me and for his return trip afterward. According to them, the driver needed nearly four hours of billable travel time for a route between Discovery Bay and Concord. This was never clearly explained before the tow began. I felt misled by the pricing and would not have agreed to the service had I known the true cost in advance. Make sure you get the total price in writing before accepting any service from this company. I would not recommend them.
