    CarMax Henderson
    Monique W.

My husband and I stopped by Carmax on a Saturday morning. This Carmax location is in Henderson. We were looking at the Lexus ES300h which is the sedan hybrid model of the Lexus ES350. CarMax opened at around 9:00 A.M. The process to test drive the vehicle required a lot of paperwork to be signed prior to driving it. The vehicle had low mileage and no issues with it. The service was great at this CarMax location. The team member we were working with provided great feedback and answered all of the questions that we had! The team member was transparent with the buying process and it was a great experience overall! There were plenty of other vehicles available at this location, but at the time, we were only interested in test driving the Lexus ES300h that was available. We didn't end up buying a vehicle when we visited, but we at least were able to test drive out the Lexus ES300h that was available and get more information on the vehicle!

It wasn't a perfect experience, but I still give 5 stars because I truly believe Carrie in corporate and the GM of the store are stand-up people who genuinely care about making sure their customers are happy and in the right vehicle. In the end, everything worked out as it should. Carrie was extremely professional, patient, and helpful throughout the process, and the GM was equally understanding and supportive. I stand by the fact that CarMax sells reliable, well-running vehicles. Two of my children have purchased cars from them, and I recently purchased a Ford F-150 myself. Each time, the vehicles have been excellent. I've been very satisfied with the service I've received--both when selling my vehicle (fair offer) and when buying one (fair price). I would feel completely confident recommending this dealership to anyone looking to buy a car.

I purchased a 2019 Genesis G90 3.3T from this CarMax location, and while the car-buying process went smoothly, my experience with the service center was disappointing. When I test drove the car, I noticed the brakes were squeaking noticeably. After purchasing the car, I took it to the service center to address the issue. Unfortunately, the problem wasn't resolved. The squeaking persisted, so I brought the car back a second time. Even after the second visit, the issue only got worse. Frustrated, I decided to take the car to an outside mechanic. They informed me that the front brake pads were worn out and needed replacement, along with rotor resurfacing. I went ahead with the repairs, which cost me $300. Afterward, the squeaking was mostly resolved. When I contacted the service center to request reimbursement for the repair, I initially spoke with someone who took my paperwork but didn't follow up. A few days later, I called again and got a more helpful representative who directed me to the service manager, Oscar. I emailed him the invoice for the repair, and the next day, he informed me they couldn't reimburse me. He claimed the issue wasn't related to their workmanship or craftsmanship--even though they failed to address the problem twice and didn't replace the pads or perform any substantial repair. I'm extremely disappointed with their decision. I chose to purchase my car from this location because it had low mileage and was exactly what I was looking for. However, this experience has made me reconsider how I approach buying cars in the future. Let this be a reminder to thoroughly inspect every aspect of a car before purchasing, listen for unusual sounds, and ensure any concerns are properly addressed before completing the deal. At minimum I was looking to at least get my money back.

Foremost, why wouldn't you want to have a savvy and tireless broker finding the best deals for you in the contiguous United States? For the average person, an automobile is the second most expensive purchase you will ever make, the third most expensive for airplane owners and Russian bride husbands. Truly I cannot say enough about Sarah Lee and Jennifer. They saved me THOUSANDS of dollars from the amazing price I received on my trade-in to the huge discounts on the sticker prices for both cars, not to mention their tax knowledge and savings in having purchased a car (one of the two I bought) that would ultimately end up in Texas. Worried about navigating the car paperwork bureaucracy nightmare? Fret not. Jennifer has your back and will keep you out of the DMV gulag. Sarah Lee apparently knows everyone in the auto business, including the best car shipping companies, and will do what it takes to get you into the right vehicle and delivered to your doorstep. Financing? They'll get you squared away and show you your options. My Carlady will even offer advice if torn between models. She actually laughed when I told her that KIA and Hyundai were on my short list along with Toyota. And who knew that the Jeep Compass has a lower approval rating than Typhoid Fever? If you're going to climb Everest, you need a wise sherpa. And if you want the very best car at the absolute lowest price without getting conned and fleeced by a dealership sales agent, then give My Carlady a call. In fact, you would be foolish not to.

Doc fees are ridiculous and I have never paid doc fees in my last 3 purchases since I bought my first vehicle. But here, they refuse to remove them. They want to charge you an enormous amount for "options" that they previously added. They want to charge you for an interior/exterior coating that you can get later for a quarter of the price they ask for. The salesman was very friendly but the manager acted like he was doing us a favor by offering all the upgrades. Now mind you, we were only buying a used car for $5499 as advertised but the price at the dealership was $13k+. EXPLAIN THAT. We ended up NOT being fleeced and just a little more effort, ended up buying elsewhere where they were all about customer service and actually trying to sell you a car. After our visit, they did text me to remind me that if I had any questions to let them know because they were there to help. I have never seen so many fees added to a vehicle. I can only imagine if I was there to buy a new vehicle. I guess it is true that they don't want you to own your vehicle anymore. They want to sink you in debt. My advice, shop for a car when you're not in a hurry and visit as many dealers that you can. Acquire a written quote at each location and ask for any unnecessary fees or up charges you didn't request to be removed. Someone will appreciate the consumer and actually fairly sell you one.

I hate dealerships but this one was different. I've owned about 20 car's throughout my years. I've walked out of countless dealers because of games, pushiness, almost harassment. Not here. Without making this review too long, Jodi the manager came over, sat down and gave me real, honest numbers without all the nonsense most dealers do. Her presence is strong and she knows the business. It was late and they were closing so I left and came back 2 days later (my next day off) and she remembered the exact deal and once again, sat down, talked to me and gave me a bare bottom price that ended up being better than I expected. 20 minutes later I signed paperwork, got my new VW and I couldn't be happier.
