I kind of can't believe I'm leaving a review for a Carls Jr., but I truly think the team that I've encountered here the past few days, deserves recognition. Today, I watched the team work smoothly and efficiently, especially during a rush around 12:30 pm. From where I was sitting, it appeared that each team member knew the role they needed to fill, and played it very well. The thing that stood out to me the most, because of where I was sitting, was the supervisor that was getting her hands dirty with the rest of the crew. It's not every day that you see a team work this well. These days, there's a decline in quality of service, especially in fast food. Here, I saw the opposite. I am sure that not every shift is like this, as we are all human and it's hard to keep up with that kind of performance all day, every day. Often times, customers only point out things when they're dissatisfied, but I think it's necessary to give praise whenever things are going well. My order was correct, tasted as expected, and it was ready for pick-up when I arrived. The restaurant was clean and the supervisor entered the dining area a few times to attend to guests and make sure things were clean. Everyone here was working hard, and seemed very focused, yet I saw smiles on their faces at times. Honestly, of all the local fast food places that are larger chains, this location never disappoints me. Orders are correct, they are usually fast, they don't park you often, food is consistent, and they are respectful. As someone who eats Keto, I love that I can still eat my favorite burgers. They will lettuce wrap any burger they make. I tried the triple burger Big Carl and it was delicious with lettuce wrap! I highly recommend. read more

I hadn't been to this Carl's Jr in a very long time. It's at Oakway Center, which can be a little hectic to get into and park. I feel like I'm taking my life in my hands more in this parking lot than I do at 85 miles an hour on a freeway. It's in the same parking lot as Bed Bath and Beyond, Old Navy, Trader Joes, etc. It was quite busy, given we went in at lunch time. But we didn't have too much trouble finding somewhere to sit. I wouldn't recommend the booths by the drive-thru though. It's watching people sit in a line and be bored. Lol. But there are windows all around the restaurant, so it's very bright on a sunny day, and that can be nice. We order their limited-time California burger, I think was what it was called. Basically, it has lettuce and tomatoes, and I think thousand island dressing. I forget, honestly, but it was a promotional item. I had totally forgot there were tomatoes on my burger when I ordered, so I took one for the team here and ate them. It wasn't bad, oddly enough. It was quite messy though. I would not recommend anyone trying to eat these in a hurry, or in the car, and make sure you have plenty of napkins. All of the employees were friendly, and happy. They seemed to actually enjoy their jobs. You can usually tell pretty easily when someone doesn't. The cashier was helpful and answered questions. When my food was brought out, they asked if we needed anything else, and it was brought out promptly to us happily. The drive-thru seemed to be very slow, and wasn't pushing cars through very quickly. I was sitting near it in the restaurant, and many people in that line looked bored and kind of impatient. I've never used the drive-thru here, so my opinion is based on how it looked from inside the restaurant. I don't know if their focus was on people inside, or what it was, but the line wasn't moving fast. Would I return? Yes, I would. I just wish it was in a different parking lot. I think that is the biggest reason this location is overlooked by me so much of the time. read more

As far as fast food burgers , this stop is good if you are starving. They seem to come out with a new burger every couple of months. The A1 Burger with onion rings and cheese gives you good flavor and a nice crunch. Beware it is not a big burger. So Carls has by a Superstar Cheese burger and get another 1 for a buck. This is a really good way to put on some heft. It's very tasty and filling. And you can forget ordering fries. read more

Usually some big-boobed woman eating a giant burger making a mess of things followed by a tacky slogan. "If it doesn't get all over the place, it doesn't belong in your face." Riiight. Most of these restaurants have a "Green Burrito" attached to them. In some states they call it a "Red Burrito." Confused yet? Me too. Leave it the parent corporation, CKE Restaurants Holdings, to make no damn sense in how it brands and with what different cuisines to mix. Maybe we'll have a Golden Dragon Chinese add-on in the next decade. Let's move on. Carl's Jr. is the food joint your parents (and numerous health publications) warned you not to eat. The food is fast, greasy, and sodium enriched. Good 'ol artery clogging beefy goodness. Like cheese on your burger? Don't forget the bacon. Hell, they add not only cheese & bacon, but onion rings, EVEN MORE BACON, and then slather it all in a thick red BBQ sauce. Total calorie load, burger only? 1010 calories. But wait! You can remove the bun and wrap the burger in lettuce to make it low carb! What?! No, really, you can. Overall I feel like I shouldn't knock too hard on the Jr. -Deep down you pretty much know what you are going to get. If you're like me and you sometimes like the idea more than the actual taste or quality of the food, the place is cheap and available. Ordered the new hamburger with rib eye steak and grilled vegetables and onion rings. The burger had a few limp small pieces of overcooked veggies, off center. With overcooked meat that had been cooked a while, long while, ago. I do not know how they managed to overcook the onions while the coating remained pasty and nearly raw. But somehow it happened. Very unfortunately. I hope this experience is an anomaly and just a very bad night or very bad new idea that will soon go away. I just come here for the spicy chicken sandwiches, which you wouldn't think taste good considering they consist of a white bun, mayo, a thin and sad piece of iceberg lettuce, and a crunchy spicy slab of fried chicken. I'm not sure who was running the drive thru today around noon but the service they provided my boyfriend with was pathetic. Not only did the lady at the drive thru give him the completely wrong burger and meal, she proceeded to laugh while handing him his food. When he asked for ketchup, she dropped it outside next to his car and didn't acknowledge the fact that she had done this. My mind is blown by the lack of intelligence and complete disregard for common courtesy. This is our third time getting the wrong order. Consider rehiring new staff. We'll never return. DO BETTER.
