I love Capriotti's and been going here for over 15 years but each time I come I feel like they have a vendetta against their customers. They are so rude here. I'm surprised they have as much business as they do. Specifically there is an old cranky lady at the front counter who seems like she doesn't want to wait on anyone and is just flat out ignorant to the customers. I think I'll just take my business to Casapulla's or another sub shop elsewhere. In addition, they will never get your order right no matter how specific you are in giving them your order. The rating for service, not food quality. read more

**Disappointing Experience** Sep 2026 * Solo **Disappointing Experience** According to their online hours, they are open until 7:00 PM. I arrived at 6:55 PM hoping to order takeout, only to be told, "Buddy, we're closed." I politely mentioned that I thought they were open until 7, but the employee didn't acknowledge me or respond. I understand that businesses sometimes begin closing down a little early, but if that's the case, a simple explanation or acknowledgment would have gone a long way. Being ignored after asking a reasonable question was disappointing and left a poor impression. There are plenty of good dining options in the Lewes and Rehoboth area, so unfortunately, this experience means I won't be making this establishment an option in the future. read more

Excellent subs. Very pleased with the taste. Only wish it was a little less. How about a senior price for over 65

I am from NY where they make the best Heroes ( Hoagies). I stopped in Capriotti's and ordered the original Italian hero with oil and vinegar. The service was friendly and the store was clean. The sandwich was expensive but when I took a bite I immediately felt like I was back on Long Island at Campus Hero shop. It was so delicious and brought joy to me. I will be returning. read more

We use this shop frequently and it has always been well above our expectations. We love them!

I'm puzzled why a large vegetarian cheese steak is priced at $26.00! No more visits to Capriotti's for us.

Terrible service rude and extremely obnoxious I just went in to pick up my sandwich was ignored for a long time then got blasted with rudeness don't work there and injure the man's business and threaten seniors heart conditions. read more

Perfect subs for a long drive. We swung by on our way back from Cape May and we're not disappointed. I had the real Italian sub which was perfectly prepared and she had the steak and cheese. read more

Consistently good quality turkey for their subs, & I always get that. My husband likes the Bobbie and my friend likes the Slaw-B-Joe. This location in the past would often run out of bread and odd things like that and close early, but they seemed organized and well-staffed yesterday. Service was quick. No real ambiance, just order counter and some tables if you want to eat there. They have Pepsi products and Herr's Potato Chip products. read more

Capriotti's Sandwich Shop - Delicious medium turkey sub with all the "fixins" - Sandwiches Near Me - Lewes, Delaware

Ummmm YUMMMM. My husband is a real deeeick for not telling me about this place for THREE years coming to Rehoboth beach multiple times a year. We just celebrated our wedding reception at the rusty rudder and the day of I knew I had to eat in order to survive the festivities. I looked up sandwich shops in the area and asked if he's ever tried it. He said "oh, I used to eat there ALLLL THE TIME when I worked at browse about books in the summers" . We got the Cole turkey and the bob- or whatever the Thanksgiving one was with the stuffing, cranberry, turkey dipped in GRAVY I mean what the heck. The coleslaw on his sandwich, I ate half. And he had like two bites of mine. It will be a regular stop instead of just grottos and the starboard raw. Still salty about him "forgetting" this place existed. We placed our order online and was ready within 10 minutes. read more

Capriotti's Sandwich Shop - Bobbie - Sandwiches Near Me - Lewes, Delaware

Went for Dinner Food - 5/5. Bobbie sandwich was an excellent balance between the savory turkey, rich stuffing and the tart cranberry sauce. Personally, I would have liked more stuffing, but the even distribution made for a great bite every time. I wish I knew there was a choice for a hot bobbie as I'm sure I would have enjoyed the flavors more! Service - 4/5. Quick and to the point. Sandwich came out extremely fast. Value - 5/5. $6 flat for a nice sandwich that reminds you of Thanksgiving and school lunches. A great price to experience Delaware's signature sandwich! Parking - Mall Lot (Free) read more

I hadn't been to Capriotti's in a long time. I ordered the "Capastrami" which is Capriotti's spin on a Rachel. What's the difference of a Reuben Vs. Rachel? A Reuben is corned beef and sauerkraut and the Rachel is pastrami and coleslaw. Capriotti's spin of the Rachel in lieu of Rye bread with use of an Italian hoagie was so good! The pastrami with melted Swiss cheese, tangy thousand island and sweet coleslaw was the best sub ever! Hot diggity dang! Just make sure you get plenty of napkins because its messy... read more

Capriotti's is always my go-to food when I drive down to the beach. It is hands down my absolute favorite sandwich shop. If you're looking to go here, I recommend getting their Slobby Joe or Cold Turkey sub!! They are absolutely to die for! I typically order online and pick it up, so of course the food gets a little bit jostled around, but it's still good , and it's still equally as delicious. The pricing is fair, and the service is quick and friendly! read more

Last night I ordered a small cheesesteak with fried onions and mushrooms. I was very disappointed with the result. No mushrooms, half stale roll, scimpy amount of over cooked meat. All for $10.50. Not a good experience or value. Probably my last visit. read more

Best place I have had a cheesesteak from in Delaware. Insanely nice staff and was given to me so quickly Had a bad experience in another capriotts and this changed my mind about the stores read more

Delish doesn't even begin to describe this place!! Called ahead to ensure they were open and drove a few mins away from the beach to pick this up (well worth the drive). I wanted to try the thanksgiving sandwich but opted for the Sloppy Joe and boy it did not disappoint! My wife opted for the Italian and other than our Italian store back home this was her favorite sandwich! read more

Dislikes. Almost none, but I'll whine about the location. Capriottis used to be downtown Rehoboth and then it moved to then highway in Rehoboth. It's a difficult location to visit. However it's worth the trek (and really - the location isn't bad at all). The best place for hoagies in Delaware. Vegetarians and vegans take note: they have v steak sandwiches and v turkey hoagies (the turkey is veg not vegan). Only order a large (20") if you're ready to feed a family of 4 or sleep for days because you'll coma in the best way. Yay capriottis read more

Best Turkey subs ever if you order them with double meat. Great service too and you can get delivery.

We've been a big fan of Capriotti's in Annapolis and Chester, but the Lewes location is very disappointing. Other Capriotti's locations have a free kids grilled cheese with purchase of adult meal. We usually have about 4 adult sandwiches to 2 children so it's not like we are being overly stingy. At the Lewes location we ordered the free kids grilled cheese but we were then charged for kids meals (grilled cheese and a juice box). When we asked, the woman said "you didn't ask" and then "we actually don't really offer that anymore." I proceeded to point to the sign that indicated that they, in fact still promoting the offer. She waved me away and said, "I don't have time to talk to you." It was rude and off-putting. It was a rainy day and the store was freezing cold. My Hot Bobbie arrived much smaller than the other locations had. It looked like a baguette rather than a sub. Also to note, this location does not have fountain drinks or single sized bags of chips (just the huge grocery store sized ones.) We don't plan to return to this store. read more

I consistently ask for no mayo on my sandwiches because I don't like it. It ruins any sandwich for me. Today I ordered a sandwich asking for no mayo as usual. I ordered it over the phone. The man asked if I wanted anything instead of mayo and I said a little oil. I picked up my sandwich and brought it home for lunch. It had mayo up and down both sides of the roll. This has happened before. Not every time but it has happened. The sandwich itself looked very good as it had lots of turkey and a good amount of toppings. But it was ruined for me because someone did not either write or read correct instructions/requests for the he order. read more

It almost feels like it's on purpose. This is almost every time we are down in Rehoboth and try to get Bobbies from Capriottis. They don't answer the phone when you call. When you finally get them to answer, they say you can put your order in anytime. When you try calling an hour before you want to pick up your order, they don't answer the phone or they answer (with an attitude) and put you on hold until the phone disconnects. When you finally give up trying to place an order and drive there an hour and a half before they close on a Wednesday night, they have run out of rolls and can't make sandwiches. Without exaggeration I've been successful about four of 10 times trying to get sandwiches from this place. One star because if you figure out how to get the Bobbie, it's pretty good. To the owner, appreciate your customers. When times get tough, and they always do, remember that customer loyalty is not based on how good your food is. it's based on how you've treated them. read more

The best Cheesesteak sub. Actually all subs are delicious. Great friendly service. My go to

Bought 3 large hoagies to feed 6 adults for lunch. Capastromi and 2 turkey. All were very good. I picked them up and they were ready when I arrived. I'll be back. The only room for improvement is that I was hoping I'd see the food preparers wearing masks during the corona virus outbreak. read more

Not open when open hours are posted. Rare phone orders are not accurate. Too bad because the foods good when all is in place.

Good, but everytime I go here someone making the food has a cold and is wiping their nose which makes the food inedible.

I'm not one to usually write reviews but this Capriotti sandwich shop really impressed me today. I work at a car dealership that is local to the shop and I got a customer in the meantime of me calling my order in. It took me a solid two hours to get there. Instead of them just giving me a soggy sub they remade it when I arrived and I truly appreciate their kind gesture that they did. -a happy customer read more

Gave 2 stars last time...said I wouldn't come back. Decided that because I actually like capriotti's food, that i'd give them a 2nd chance. I wish I could give negative stars. This place is terrible. They don't close until 7....if half of your menu is HOT FOOD, why do you turn your grill off and stop serving hot food before you even close!?!?!? I came in 20 mins before close. WAY long enough to make a cheesesteak! Man, this place is terrible. Never wasting a dime here again. Didn't even get any food because they said it "takes their grill a long time to turn off", so at 6:40, they couldn't make me and my wife's food. Sounds like a bunch of lazy people who shouldn't even have jobs. Tall, skinny old lady, shorter tattooed woman almost seems like she comes straight from the trailer park...then the super young girl with AirPods in her ears as she talks to you...they all seem absolutely miserable. They completely suck the energy right out of you, even having to deal with them. The young guy there at least seems decent. But man...I'm sure as hell happy I don't have people like that representing my business. Hell no! Those folks don't deserve jobs. Not service industry jobs. read more
