Beautiful venue inside and out, friendly and welcoming staff, creative cocktails, super flavorful food. Honey buns are excellent: glutenous yummyness. Snap pea salad and arancini delighted the vegetarian diner in our group and the $45 half lamb rack was delicious, but last time I checked a full rack would be 8 ribs and I only got 2 large ones. A little fine tuning on service would help get Capri up to a solid 4.5 in my book. Would be fun if they offered entre specials. read more

Service was incredible. They filled our wine glasses and waters when we were low and they made sure our table was cleared and clean between rounds of food. The food amazing! Definitely try the bolognese and honey buns. Beautiful architecture as well. I'm very impressed and will be back! read more

Great ambience, food and drinks great too..would recommend a little loud but at least you're not listening to your neighbors conversations.

My girlfriends and I came in on Saturday afternoon and had the pleasure of being taken care of by Ash, who was a total delight from start to finish. She knew the menu like she wrote it herself and recommended spot-on selections that we're still talking about. She somehow kept everything running smoothly while also giving our table the VIP treatment. She asked our names and actually used them the entire time, which made us feel like regulars instead of a group of girls who just wandered in for pasta and vibes. Our table stayed spotless and she made sure we had everything we need. We just moved here from Texas and asked her if she had any spots to check out that she recommends. Before we left, she handed us a list of places to check out in the city, including Prima, which we are now irrationally excited about and will probably talk about all week. Ash went above and beyond, made us laugh, and turned a simple afternoon outing into a core memory. Capri is lucky to have her, and we'll be back... mostly for the service, but also for whatever she tells us to order next. read more

wow, I'm not even kidding. Pretty much a life-changing experience I had here at Capri. if I weren't on such a strong dose of lexapro I would just come here daily for the honey buns to increase my serotonin. if that wasn't enough, my server Ashleigh was the icing on the cake. beautiful, funny, and attentive. she made our experience at Capri one we will never forget. if you're in south end of Boston, check out Capri. you'll have no Ragrets read more

Cocktails. Amazing. Got there just before 5, no problem sitting at the bar. Lovely decorations and a nice fireplace out back with cool wreaths. Friendly staff. I recommend. Bob read more

Definitely hyped up, pasta wasn't cooked all the way, stingy on the vodka sauce for my chicken parm. The Cavatelli Con Salsiccia had small pieces of lemon with rind which I didn't find the texture or taste appeasing, much better after I dug it out. The honey buns were good but exorbitantly overpriced, the beef tallow truffle fries are solid. Service was great. read more

Food & service was excellent...I ordered lamb chops which did not disappoint. Entrees are a la carte = I suggest the mashed potatoes....We sat outside, which was very nice. read more

If you're in the South End, Capri is a must-visit! Our recent dinner was fantastic, thanks to the warm ambiance, friendly service, and delicious food. Owner Will made us feel special right away, especially since we were celebrating my sister's birthday. He surprised us with some lovely treats that added a thoughtful touch. We started with honeybuns, meatballs, and a Caesar salad--everything was amazing but the stuffed mushrooms sent over by the kitchen were a standout! For our main courses, my sister had the penne vodka, her husband enjoyed the filet mignon, and I savored the Garganelli alla Pollo. All were delicious! Dylan, the bartender, also deserves a shoutout for crafting amazing drinks and choosing the perfect red wine for our meal, along with the best dessert recommendation, the chocolate hazelnut mousse. Overall, Capri is a gem in the South End, and we can't wait to return! Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great dining experience! read more

The food was good, but I can't give more than 2 stars because the service was not there. When we first sat down, our server greeted us, brought drinks, and seemed attentive to other tables nearby. I thought we'd be in good hands. I was wrong. There were four of us. I ordered an appetizer, which took about 20 to 30 minutes to come out. After that, our server never came back to check on us. I watched her take care of the tables right next to us, even glancing at our table before walking past us to the ones behind us. Meanwhile, three of our cups sat empty and no one bothered to ask if we needed refills. I ordered our entrees about ten minutes after the appetizer, and it took over an hour and fifteen minutes for just three dishes to arrive. Being seated right next to the kitchen and POS station, it was hard to believe we were simply "forgotten." Another server eventually cleared our appetizer plates, so we thought our food was finally coming, but we ended up waiting another 30 minutes. By that point, I was frustrated. It honestly felt like we were being ignored because of our ethnicity or how we were dressed. I even noticed others dressed the same way as us being served just fine. What made it worse was the moment I pulled out my phone and started timing the service, the attitude suddenly changed. That told me everything. By the time our food came out, I felt disrespected and didn't even want to stay. The food may be worth it, but the way we were treated made me never want to come back. If you value being treated like your presence matters, think twice before dining here. read more

Food was amazing and so was the experience. Well kept place and great atmosphere for a date night. Honey Buns were the tasty appetizer ever. read more

Made reservations weeks in advance, for a birthday dinner. Walked in for early dinner and restaurant was mostly empty. Requested to be seated on the patio, which is supposedly first come first serve, but was told by the hostess that there would be a two and a half hour wait even though lots of tables were empty. There wasn't anyone else waiting. When questioned, the hostess stated that there is no time limit for the patrons currently dining. Was seated in the main dining room instead. Waitstaff was on point. Unfortunately, the only part of the meal that met expectations were the honey buns. read more

Tried the tuna tartare -- it was chewy and impossible to swallow. The kitchen sent out a new one, but it was the same. Ordered the $160 T-bone steak, asked for medium-well, and it came out blue rare. The bartender actually noticed right away before we even said anything -- she was great and the only highlight of the night. When they brought the steak back, it was completely overcooked, dry, and tough as a rock. I asked to get the food to go -- my dog will be eating good tonight. the service was great overall we sat at the bar and all the bartenders where great and attentive, except for the hosts at the front -- they looked like deer in headlights when we walked in. We don't mind paying for good food, but this was a terrible experience overall. read more

The service was excellent. Restaurant was beautiful! Food was delicious. Only complaint was my steak being a little too chewy but besides that I enjoyed it all. The highlight of the night was the honey buns!!! Get the honey buns! read more

The most terrible dining experience I've ever had. We waited over 20 minutes to be seated even though we had a reservation, and then another 23 minutes just to get water and have our order taken. Our server was extremely slow and seemed completely lost the entire time. The food was honestly awful -- bland and poorly made. But the worst part was the unprofessional manager, who was unbelievably rude and passive-aggressive. Instead of apologizing, he tried to convince me that it was our fault for the wait because we checked in at 9:04 instead of 9:00! That's not how you treat customers. This place clearly doesn't value their guests. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else. Terrible!!! read more

My friends and I had an amazing experience at Capri. Service was great, food was tasty, and the restaurant itself is just beautiful. We had the Caesar salad ( the same recipe as Prima) 10/10, risotto 6/10, honey buns 10000/10, tortellini de mais 8/10 - really great flavor but the pasta was too al dente, my friends had the chicken parm 10/10. Drinks were also great. Def recommend. read more

The ambience was very beautiful both inside and outside - and the positives stop there. The food was terrible in several ways; the ingredients were noticeably not fresh that one could smell the odor of the fish from across the room, and the cooking was done so poorly that the texture was off in all directions with some being soaked and some others being extremely burnt. Most of all, the eccentricity went way past the point of being excusable as creativity; the combination of ingredients simply made no sense and the result was a complete mess of discord, aggravated by the lack of basic cooking skills. The cocktails had similar problems, just even worse. The price was even higher compared to popular upscale restaurants, which was simply unacceptable considering the poor quality. The service was friendly but very slow and unattentive. read more

As someone who lived in Florence Italy for 4 months, this place exceeded every expectation I had! The staff was so nice, the wine list was great, and the food was magnificent. The place is huge, and there's nothing I love more than not feeling rushed/ like they're trying to turn my table over quick. Capri service was fantastic and quick, but also allowed us to take our time while eating & drinking. We had the bread (which was divine), burratta (10/10, no notes), and also shared the vodka pasta, steak, and chicken milanese which was crispy and cooked perfectly. The vodka sauce was creamy and delicious - the table next to us ordered an extra side of the sauce, because it's just that creamy and good! The steak was also cooked perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed our new neighborhood spot!! So happy this place opened up and we will be back!!!! read more

Food is mediocre at best. The only things worth the money on the menu is the honey buns. Ambience is great but there are way better places in the city for food. The vodka sauce is really just a red sauce so would not recommend that at all! read more

Capri is truly a tucked-away hidden gem in the neighborhood! I loved the ambiance the second I walked into the outdoor seating area, it feels cozy yet elevated. We sat at the bar and it was perfect. Both of us ordered the Sophia cocktail (highly recommend if you like a little spice in your life), and the bartender was incredibly attentive, offering great recommendations throughout. Food-wise, everything was a hit! The meatballs, prosciutto, truffle fries, and rigatoni alla vodka were all hands-down delicious. The place is spotless, and even the bathrooms are kept tidy, which shows how much care goes into every detail. Nothing but great things to say, I'm so happy we now have a new Italian spot to enjoy regularly. Capri is definitely going to be a favorite! read more

Best food I've ever eaten I highly recommend the honey buns. They are amazing. The soft, fluffy texture with that sweet glaze makes them so good every single time. Each bite has the perfect balance of sweetness and melt-in-your-mouth goodness that just keeps you coming back for more. They're the kind of treat that you never get tired of, and once you try them, you'll understand why I think they're the best read more

Rounding up to 3/5 stars because the decor is beautiful, great atmosphere, and the staff is super kind. Unfortunately the food is pretty mid. My medium rare steak came out very well done. They kindly took it back and fired a new one, but that one was still medium. The honey buns are excellent, and so are the mashed potatoes. My partner really enjoyed the citrus salad. We didn't have any cocktails which are probably more what folks come here for. read more

Food was great but that was only part of the night. Service was on point and the place is amazing.

I've given this place two chances and unfortunately both times the service at the bar was really disappointing. The female bartender seemed distracted and uninterested -- it took a long very time just to get a drink or even be acknowledged, even though it wasn't that busy. The food and atmosphere are fine, but the lack of attention and basic friendliness from the bar staff really takes away from the experience. I wanted to like this place, but after two tries, I don't think I'll be back. read more

If you're considering reserving for a large party or special occasion, think twice. We worked with the reservations manager months in advance for a party of 9 at graduation time, and have the email chain to prove it. Then he left the company (which isn't that unusual, given the high turnover in the hospitality industry) and apparently no one followed up on his responsibilities. Okay, mistakes happen, but the true test is what the restaurant does then. Capri failed spectacularly! Instead of making things right, they ghosted us when they discovered their mistake. After numerous ignored emails, voicemails, and promised follow ups, we finally refused to be ignored any longer until the ironically-titled guest relations manager (Katherine) took the call. By then she had nothing left before 9 pm (too late for our party), having booked everything else while we were screaming for their attention. We got a halfhearted apology and were left holding the bag. By now everyone else was booked - which would not have been the case if they hadn't blown us off for so long! This was completely preventable. I run a small business myself, and if I treated my customers like that I'd deservedly go out of business. read more
