I can't say enough great things about this Capitol VW location and working with Juho. He really made the whole process so easy of making my dream car my reality! He was very professional, friendly and went above and beyond to make sure to answer any and all questions about the vehicle. He even had a bow on the car for me and had it pulled up in front for when I arrived. I came all the way from Walnut Creek (an hour away) just to look at this vehicle due to the great price and lower miles than some others I had seen closer to me. I have always wanted this car since I was a little girl, so when I started shopping for a newer car I thought, why not see if I can make my dream a reality finally. You only live once, right? This is my second time purchasing a vehicle from a DGDG dealership and the peace of mind this gives me is priceless. It's such a clean car with no dents, clean interior, it looks brand new practically. The whole process of trading in my Mazda 3 S premium and the fair pricing they gave me for it made the decision so much easier. Their finance team worked their magic to me get a great rate and my monthly payments super low. I got a great price on my used 2024 Mustang Ecoboost Premium Convertible and couldn't be happier with my purchase! I highly recommend purchasing from this dealership and working with Juho.

A great example of why you must know what services are needed for your car.  Most of these service items are unnecessary--read the manual!

I had great experiences with this dealer for service in the past, but not this time. I booked an appointment for this dealer to get 2 recalls (the door handle replacement and software update) completed on my 2021 VW ID.4 Pro. Despite the appointment, the dealer mentioned that the parts won't be available until at least April. Then, since I also needed to get the 60,000 service reminder warning reset, the service advisor, Patty Argetsinger, mentioned, "you got to do this 'minimum' service or we can't reset the service reminder warning." To that I just said, "No, I simply got to leave." It's ludicrous--I already did the brake fluid replacement (per the manual) 7 months ago. Replaced the cabin filter myself. None of the other items were recommended or needed in the manual, and the dealer didn't even look at the car yet. So be careful--and be sure to follow with what is required in the owner's manual!

I walked in without an appointment on Saturday after seeing a deal online for the ID.4. In under 5 minutes, a sales rep (Juho) saw me and had me sitting in a vehicle for a test drive. Juho showed me some basic features and I was on my way test driving the car. When I came back, he suggested that I take it the 4 miles home so that my wife could look at it as well. Juho listened to what I wanted the car for (mostly as a commute car and weekend family car). He understood that I wanted and only needed the standard trim. It was refreshing that he didn't upsell me on a more expensive trim. Then we started talking price. He gave me the "out the door" estimate for cash, finance, and 2x lease options. I was prepared to fight for the deal that I saw online; however, I was presently surprised that the costs presented beat the online deal. I was sold. I didn't have all the funding ready and he was ok when I said I had to come in on Sunday. I asked about trading in my old car. Juho was quick with an estimate and didn't fight it when I told them the Carvana price. He was honest and let me know that I should probably take the Carvana option. We texted a few times to setup a time and color option (I was good with the car I test drove). When I came in on Sunday, the car was detailed and charged. I watched football while all the initial paperwork was being done. I was out of the dealership driving my new car within 90 minutes. I've been beaming at work today telling my coworkers of the price I got and the easy experience.

2024 Tiguan Wolfsburg

My wife and I decided it was time to upgrade her vehicle due to a litany of issues with her current car. We worked with Juho Hong and had a 10/10, 5 star experience. It was quick (yes, you read that correctly) and easy. He answered all our questions, didn't pressure us, and guided us into the right direction. Later that morning we drove off in a brand new 2024 Tiguan Wolfsburg. She's had it for two weeks now and absolutely loves it. Go see Juho, I promise you it's worth every second.

BEWARE - My Honest Experience I normally don't write…read morereviews, but I feel I have to warn others. I bought a van from this dealership that looked perfectly fine at first. Unfortunately, not long after, I started having serious issues. I later found out that the engine harness wires had been cut and taped back together, which caused ongoing engine problems. This isn't something that happens by accident--it's a sign of very poor or careless repair work. On top of that, the sliding door switch didn't work properly, and at one point the door actually opened while I was driving, which was honestly scary and dangerous. Fixing all of this turned into a nightmare. I had to make around 10 trips to the mechanic, replace the wiring harness, fix the electrical system, and deal with repeated diagnostics. In total, I ended up spending over $4,000 just to get the vehicle into a safe and working condition. What's most frustrating is that these are not small issues--they should have been caught and addressed before the car was ever sold. From my experience, this dealership is: Not transparent Not standing behind what they sell Not BBB accredited My advice: don't take the risk. At the very least, get a very thorough independent inspection before buying from them. Personally, I would just look elsewhere.

I found it quickly. It was unlocked so I was able to sit in it and inspect it closely. Shane and another sales associate were inside the building. They both greeted me and welcomed me to the store. He got the keys for me and let me take it for a test drive. Upon return I decided to purchase the car. I had been looking EVERYWHERE for a affordable Honda Civic in good condition. We negotiated and agreed on a price and made the deal. I had a unique situation; I live in Stockton and had no way to get the car home that day. He allowed me to keep it on the lot until the next morning. Shane and his team are not stereotypical sleaze bag used car salesmen. Customer service and a welcoming atmosphere are a priority at The Car Store San Jose. They've been in business since '77 for a reason. They suit all budgets and I will be recommending The Car Store to my friends. 5/5 Stars

However, about a week later when I went to get an oil change, I realized something that made the process more complicated than it should have been. Because this is a company vehicle, oil changes require approval through the corporate fleet program. I later found out that the dealership never actually called to get the oil change approved, which created unnecessary confusion on my end. Another thing that stood out was that the service advisor repeatedly asked why my company didn't just buy me a brand new car off the lot. Since this is a corporate fleet vehicle, that decision obviously isn't something I control. It felt like an odd question to keep asking and didn't really have anything to do with the service appointment. The recall service itself was completed, but better communication and a clearer understanding of how corporate fleet vehicles work would make the experience smoother for customers in the future.

Well i had someone drive me from Livermore to San Jose just in case i did walkaway with the car since those were my intentions. Their site says they open at 10 am. we got there at 10:30 and the gates were still locked. so i called to make sure they were indeed open. The guy on the phone said Yes,and that the person opening up would be there soon, but that he was running late. That he had already spoken to him saying he was definitely on his way there it would only take ten minutes. So i waited, and waited. then i called again at 10:50 and again he said only five more minutes, to just wait. Well of course i waited i drove all the way over here, i wasn't just going to walk away. i even walked to car lot across the street and tooka look at those used cars. Then 11:15 or so came around and still nothing. and they have yet to call back to apologize or anything. Great reviews, i was hoping i would walk away with a cute new little car, but the level of professionalism and disrespect just made me turn away. i guess ill keep searching for a new car somewhere else.

I anticipated this email to come the evening before our morning appointment. I did receive a phone call the evening prior, asking if I needed help with anything, and I asked about this expected paperwork. turns out they dont sent it until about an hour before your appointment. so an hour and 15min prior to our appointment, I received a text from CarMax stating that they needed my husband to upload his DL (they sent an email link), and then they will send the paperwork for signatures. my husband did so, and we left for our appointment about 30min before our scheduled appt time. we arrived at CarMax ~10min early, and still no paperwork. it wasn't until 15min past our scheduled appt time that we received this paperwork, the internet (even on wi-fi) inside the CarMax is absolute trash so it took forever to load, and at this point I'm feeling pressure to run through everything and just sign everything without reading a damn thing. I hope that our express pickup experience is abnormal, and here's to hoping our express drop-off this coming weekend is a smoother process. overall, I would recommend CarMax for purchasing a vehicle. so far, we are very happy with our used car, and we would definitely use CarMax in the future!

He also scheduled all the test drives, negotiated the prices, and pointed us to a specific person at the dealership, a complete VIP experience. He did the same for our friends just this week, they bought a great car in a great condition, he negotiated the price down and steered them away from less desirable options. My friend was nervous (just like I was before ) because the process of buying a car is stressful. But after they got into the dealership and the car was waiting for them, they test drove and bought the car. My friend said: who would have thought that I can enjoy buying a car! And that's all thanks to Jeremy. Believe me I'm not hyping him up, he is professional, kind and customer centric. Thank you Jeremy!
