I'd like to first say the customer service portion of the sale was actually pretty nice. It wasn't until months after when my mechanic checked the motorcycle and took it apart that we realized the extent of the BS of this sale. I was in the market for a nice big liter sports cruiser. I came across an add on CL for a Honda ST1300PA. The bike looked good in it's pictures and had relatively low miles. We set up a date to come and test the bike and pick it up. I did and finalized the purchase same day. The first issue I should say is it will be AUGUST (3-1/2 months) on Monday and I still have not received the license plate or registration for this motorcycle. The second issue is the myriad of BS fixes this dealership did to make this sale. The seat bolts that held on the pre-existing Police seat were hammered down to make way for an OEM seat for a standard ST1300 rear seat. These will have to be cut off of the frame and the standard ST1300 hardware will have to be installed. A lot of bolts are missing (the bike has been sitting not rode after purchase). The right fairing was cracked/chipped and well hidden to avoid seeing it until after fairings were removed. The two lower fairings are cracked but unable to tell unless they are removed. Maintenance on the bike was barely/never performed. The plugs were burnt. The brake fluid was near empty. the mirrors were being held on with twist ties and hot glue. In fact I was shown quite a lot of hot glue fixes. I've inquired with my mechanic what the bike may actually sell/trade for in case I decide to go that route. It's roughly half of what I paid for the machine. Please be aware of this dealership. I've noticed a lot of previous positive reviews appeared on GOOGLE that were obviously paid for, as there are stars, but absolutely no text. I can tell you this has been more than a shady purchase. When you get burned, you need to let others know you've been burned. Especially when the reviews with texts are warning of the same dire consequences. read more

Despite multiple phone calls and repeated requests, it took them months to deal with their end of the paperwork and send the purchase info to the loan company. After several months of this, the lean holder began contacting us asking for their money back because they had no proof that we'd spent it buying a car and hadn't been sent the title. We didn't get our registration info for the car we had purchased for months. I was sent multiple letters from DMV requesting I pay to renew the regulation on the car we had traded in. Once we got home I received a call from Alex saying that the owner will give us a discount if we bought that day. My wife and I decided to go back that night and purchase the vehicle. These guys get 6 stars out of a possible 5! I found a car there that I liked then went to research what other owner of that car said after they drove it 100,000. The Mercedes 2006 SLK 280 is a great car. Blue book said the value is $8501, and they listed it for sale at $8499. My credit union uses NADA and they said it was valued at over $10,000 and using a Craigslist global search (using www.autotempest.com) shows that nationwide that age car with similar miles sells for up to $12,000. I offered $8500 out the door and they pay tax and registration fees. They accepted the offer. But wait, it gets even better! I paid for a prepurchase inspection and paid the shop to do the entire 100,000 mile service. The cost was only $260 which is about a third the price I was expecting to pay. When I spoke to the owner of the shop and said I wanted to have the spark plugs replaced and while you are at it, do a compression test. That would have cost about $250. He said I recommend that you don't do that. If the check engine light isn't on, there is no reason to do either. So during the inspection and other servicing he notice the motor mounts were worn, and he reported that to the seller. The owner of the repair shop said if it were his car, he wouldn't bother to replace the motor mounts. McBay Auto said they wanted to replace them anyway. This is going to cost them over $500. These guys at McBay Auto and the repair shop Driven Auto Care are the BEST!!! read more
