BEWARE - My Honest Experience I normally don't write reviews, but I feel I have to warn others. I bought a van from this dealership that looked perfectly fine at first. Unfortunately, not long after, I started having serious issues. I later found out that the engine harness wires had been cut and taped back together, which caused ongoing engine problems. This isn't something that happens by accident--it's a sign of very poor or careless repair work. On top of that, the sliding door switch didn't work properly, and at one point the door actually opened while I was driving, which was honestly scary and dangerous. Fixing all of this turned into a nightmare. I had to make around 10 trips to the mechanic, replace the wiring harness, fix the electrical system, and deal with repeated diagnostics. In total, I ended up spending over $4,000 just to get the vehicle into a safe and working condition. What's most frustrating is that these are not small issues--they should have been caught and addressed before the car was ever sold. From my experience, this dealership is: Not transparent Not standing behind what they sell Not BBB accredited My advice: don't take the risk. They are allowing customers to test-drive alone and seem to be practicing safe guidelines. However, I test-drove a Mazda3 which made a knocking noise each time I pulled away from a stop in first gear. As a courtesy, I let the salesman know when I returned and suggested he might want to take it out and listen. After hearing the noise, I had no intention of buying the car, but wanted to let him know that the car has a problem. He replied that all Mazda engines make ticking noises. I again said, "No, it makes a knocking noise." He adamantly said it did not. I'm looking for a manual transmission car and since they keep a few on their lot, I might have returned to purchase another. But, his invalidating tactics showed me he knew exactly the noise I spoke of (perhaps that's why the radio was on and ready for me?) and I will not be back. I am writing this review about 1 year and 10 months after I purchased a car with this dealership. I'll just say this. The processing of my paperwork was fine and nothing really stood out about the salesperson. What I did find shady and was not disclosed was that the car leaks horribly inside when it rains. I only realized this several months later when it finally did start to rain. There is no recourse because the 'limited' warranty they offer is only for 30 days or 100 miles for the powertrain only. However, this literally leaves a big puddle of water on the front passenger side during the rainy season. Now also, about 1 year and 10 months later, the transmission now needs to be replaced as the car does not shift gears. This will cost me over $2k to repair. This is so disheartening and feel like I lost so much money from this deal. Buyer beware, I guess, of any used car. Do your due diligence and I don't think I would ever go to this dealership if these are the kinds of cars they are putting out. read more

I was having a bad experience with Carmax whom shipped a bmw that would not start and did not have a basic promised inspection having a slew of issues. They also ran our financing twice in 37 days and dropped my husband credit 40points. As you can figure, I was no longer interested in purchasing from Carmax. I sent my Brother in law (Toyota mechanic) to Carfornia to check out several cars including the BMW roadster. Carfornia stock is limited but very reliable. 4 of the 7 from my list sold from Thursday to Saturday when I showed up. Carfornia clearly has their standard up to par with the best in the business right now during Covid 19 ie. Carmax , Shift, and Carvanna. Carfornia had a good variety of SUVs, Luxury vehicles, Sedans with low miles and solid engines. Seymour was the first person I communicated with. He was helpful,direct and answered many questions. I was coming from 5 hours away in northern California. My brother in law found thee best car from my list which is a Lexus. The Lexus had more luxury features than most bmws. I made the 5 hours down and met Emin (the lots owner) and immediately felt at ease and could easily see that Emin cares greatly about his reputation of selling the best cars in the bay area. I was surprised that he had a mechanic shop on sight that did new brakes, oil change, AC recharge and matienced my car. Any matience/repairs needed within 30days was offered to be done by Emin free of charge within reason. It's hard to hand over my savings on a vehicle that has; who knows what , done to it. But my brother in law & Emin seemed to settle that nagging feeling that most get when buying a car. We kept striking out at the big dealers, and most of the small lots just had cars that you would not even want to get inside. We went in to see one at Carfornia that was advertised but saw two more that fit the bill. Emin and his colleagues would give us the CarFax info and then describe what work they did to bring the car up to snuff. The also have a 1 month, 1,000, mile engine and drive train warranty. No independent dealer I have visited does that! The electronic key was not working, so they are sending a locksmith to fix that. We bought the car and drove away. Unfortunately, the deal fell through the cracks when my son and I requested that the 2012 blue Chevrolet Malibu safety issues be fix prior to signing the contract after having paid $75 to T&T Complete Auto Repair mechanic to inspect the vehicle for safety. After returning the vehicle and providing the sales representative the inspection report we were reassured the vehicle would be fixed by their mechanic NLT January the 4th. However, when my son called on January the 6th, he was told the mechanic is out sick. REALLY! One mechanic for a dealership?
