I was pretty surprised that this bar was as LIVELY as it was. Live music, Taco Tuesday Specials, Sports on the TV. Bartenders are fast and helpful. I definitely wish I knew about this place earlier.

Flew into Eagle Vail and was looking for a local lunch spot. Capital Public House had great reviews so we thought we'd give it a try and I'm so glad we did. They more than deserve all the great reviews. Nathaniel, our server, seated us right away and was very helpful with the abundance of beer choices and menu options. The menu has a vast selection of items. I had the Reuben sandwich with fries and my wife had the Hot Italian Hoagie with fries. Both sandwiches were fantastic. If you want great food, friendly service, and a laid back atmosphere Capital Public House is can't miss!!

We went here and the one server was very rude not friendly. We came back and the bartender was amazing and super friendly they also have happy hour drink specials!

Every time I come here, I am so impressed. Warm and friendly greetings from the staff, prompt service, great drinks, and comforting food. I've been here a lot since they opened and am currently hooked on their grilled chicken sandwich. I love coming here for lunch and enjoy the half and half specials. Ali, my server and Corey the bartender were awesome and I can't recommend this place enough for casual, friendly dining.

The gondola is cool because we had our own speak to play whatever we pleased! It felt very private and intimate which I really enjoyed. I loved the decor throughout the restaurant and our gondola had cute little touches as well. For example they had a coo coo clock that when off every hour. For drinks I tried their feuerzangenbowle and the muled wine. My husband got a Hugo spritz and jagertee. I loved my drinks the feuerzangenbowle uses flambé which was so cool!, it's pretty similar to the muled wine. Muled wine is always a favorite of mine when the weather gets cold! Our server was awesome and super attentive. He answered any questions we had and was very friendly. The gondolas have a set menu we ended up ordering more that was on the set menu since I wanted fondue and my husband wanted the raclette. We added on a fondue, ordered the raclette that came on our fixed menu and added on steak, along with the pretzel that comes as an appetizer. The food was really good, I think it is also just so cozy and suiting for the cold weather! Fondue and raclette are also just such a fun way to dine! Highly recommend and definitely will be back just to try the standard experience too without the gondola.

Our server was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with providing recommendations. We started off with the bread and fondue. The fondue was a big hit with our table, and the cheese was so tasty. The bread was also good, and had a nice unique taste. For mains I tried some of the following: -steak frites: delicious and cooked perfectly, and a huge portion of delicious fries -mussels: definitely a miss, and tasted a bit too salty and the sizes were pretty inconsistent -filet: amazing -mushroom ravioli: absolutely horrible, literally the worst ravioli I've ever had -cacio e pepe: sooo tasty, but tastes was more like carbonara vs a traditional cacio e pepe. I liked the presentation and really loved the pork too. I would definitely recommend sticking with the meats here, as the pasta and seafood were major misses (except the cacio e Pepe was amazing) Overall a solid option for a nicer meal, but not the greatest place ever.

We weren't asked if we wanted it split - this made it $25, which was not worth it. I opted for the table side cacio e pepe which was super cheesey and also had delicious pork belly blended in. We weren't hungry for dessert but the table next to us got a unique mason jar dessert that looked like it was packed with chocolatey goodness. This restaurant is inside the Westin, and you can park in the garage and get your ticket validated.

Very nice restaurant, unique mountain dining experience, but overrated. The staff is great, the food is delicious one of the best in town, but the ammount of food you getting is very little for the price you are paying (specially the foie gras, i did not want to believe its size, do not order it). I have never got this tiny portion anywhere else before, on top of it, my tiny goose liver came out raw and bloody, so i had to ask them to cook it longer. They seem like being very much under staffed, so you will have to wait pretty long in btw courses, we spent there close to three hours to finish our dinner which is way too long time with little children. I guess with the small portions this is the only way guests do not to leave the place hungry.. Everything tasted delicious and the bone marrow we ordered extra - as it is not part of the menu from where you can order for their fixed price -, was best part of the meal, was so good, really worth ordering.. . First off, the most notable thing about this experience was the genuinely most amazing waitress I think I have ever encountered, Grace. Grace was the kindest soul, she took such amazing care of us and went ABOVE AND BEYOND. Me and my family will go out to eat now and say "she was good but not as good as Grace". Second off, The food was AMAZING per usual. I had the Wagyu steak and it was cooked perfectly, I usually hate going out for steak because I find it to never be seasoned as much as I'd like but this took the cake. The blue cheese dip with chips was so delicious, like possibly one of the best things we have ever tasted. We also tried to carrot cake sorbet which I know sounds odd but it was so delicious, you can tell the kitchen staff puts their heart and soul into this food. My husband got the special, which was like a Turkish ricotta stuffed pasta and it was AMAZING. Even my sister who got the wagyu burger, AMAZING. My only critique was the hostess was very rude to my family for no reason when we walked in which almost turned my parents off from trying to the most amazing restaurant. Luckily, the service got amazing after that. Everyone was so kind and helping everyone, just a great atmosphere. They also had the Knicks game playing which was great haha. There is some sort of sauce drizzled, which tastes like an egg yolk base. I scraped it with my fork so I could eat all of it! So delicious! Finished with the Pierogies. Handmade, thin wrappers with perfect, delicious filling. It comes in a bowl with an amazing sauce I couldn't get enough of. I literally used a spoon to drink it! Our experience at Meat & Cheese in Aspen was disappointing from beginning to end…read more To start with, the food was mediocre in every sense. The quality did not justify the prices, the flavors were forgettable, and nothing we ordered stood out. Unfortunately, what happened afterward was far worse. My wife accidentally left behind a shopping bag containing a brand new pair of sunglasses she had purchased earlier that day. When she returned to retrieve them, our interaction with a server named Carson was deeply disappointing. Instead of simply confirming ownership in a courteous and professional manner, Carson repeatedly questioned whether the sunglasses were actually hers. He kept emphasizing that they were brand new and worth around $600, making it clear that he found it difficult to believe they belonged to her. It was impossible not to feel that she was being judged based solely on her appearance. There is absolutely nothing wrong with verifying ownership of a valuable item. In fact, we appreciate businesses that take lost property seriously. What is unacceptable is allowing assumptions and stereotypes to influence how customers are treated. One lesson worth remembering is that genuine elegance and long established wealth rarely need to announce themselves. Those who have had the privilege of success across generations often feel no need to advertise it with designer logos or outward displays. True class is reflected in education, humility, confidence, and, above all, in the way people treat others. Ironically, Carson's assumptions said far more about his own judgment than they did about my wife. No customer should ever be made to feel that they need to "look wealthy" in order to be treated with respect. We hope management addresses this issue seriously. The mediocre food was forgettable. Being judged and treated with prejudice is not. Every guest deserves to be treated with courtesy, professionalism, and dignity, regardless of how they are dressed or what assumptions someone chooses to make about them.
