When I first contacted Can't Stop Moving for an estimate, John G responded very quickly to my initial question and each message thereafter. A few days later, when I wanted to verify that we were still okay to go ahead despite the current shelter-in-place order, Eric M responded very quickly and reassured me that we were still good to go. I got a text message the day before confirming once again. I love how responsive and communicative the CSM team is. I booked a move and was given a start time window of 8:00 - 8:30am. Andrew, YJ, and Andrii showed up ready to work at 8:05. They were super helpful and worked very hard, and while my estimate was for 4-5 hours, they finished in barely over four hours even. They were careful and respectful of my belongings and packed everything well. My move was a mess and I wasn't close to as ready as I should have been, but they handled everything professionally and capably. I have nothing but praise for this crew and this business. They are, admittedly, not the least expensive moving service in Seattle. However, I feel strongly that the quality of service they provide is well in line with what they cost, and I am very pleased with what I got for my money. Two enthusiastic thumbs up. read more

This is our 2nd time hiring Can't Stop Moving for our move. We were so happy with their service last time. Brandon, Nick and Steven were efficient and careful with all my items. We had an excellent experience with Can't Stop Moving. They were super quick and did an excellent job wrapping and packing our larger items. I was anxious about our move because the stairs to get down to the bedrooms in the place that we left are small with a tight turn and low ceilings, but they managed to get everything out without damaging the walls or furniture. Absolutely perfect experience! Quick response to my inquiry and accurate to what I saw on the bill. The guys called me ahead of time to let me know when they would arrive (30 minutes early! yay!) and arrived exactly when they said they would. They were all wearing masks and got straight to work; I only had a piano for them to move but they took care of it even better than the professional piano mover service that I contracted last time I moved. my partner and I used Can't Stop Moving for assistance unloading our 3 U-Pack units following a cross-country move. I was so impressed with the two young men this company sent! I don't remember their names (sorry boys!) but I want to describe them in case their boss reads this, because they are worthy of praise: one had short buzzed green hair, one had wavy brown hair. the two of them unloaded three 6'x7' pods in ONE HOUR FORTY FIVE MINUTES, which was pretty incredible considering they also helped us re-assemble our bed & had to carry in some pretty heavy vintage solid wood furniture. they were really kind, courteous, and professional...just could not have been sweeter guys. they were also both fully vaccinated which meant a safer/more relaxed environment for everyone. there were zero incidents/nothing dropped or mishandled. thank you so much Can't Stop Moving, if we ever relocate again you'll be our first call. read more

Our movers were Johnny, Kylen, and Dan. They were AMAZING! -They showed up 2 hours early, which was awesome. They called about 20 minutes ahead of time to let us know they were on their way. -They literally didn't stop moving the entire time they worked. They were all obviously experienced and efficient and got it done! -They were friendly and professional and really easy to work with. -My neighbor's dog peed in the elevator and Dan and Kylen cleaned it up to protect my stuff!!!! -They loaded my 1 bedroom apartment in 50 minutes, my partner's 1 bedroom in 20 minutes, and unloaded all our stuff in the new place in 1 hour. Total - 3 hours to move 2 apartments into one new place!!! WOW! We got estimates from other places for 5-8 hours and they did it in 3. -They worked some magic getting my sofa into the new place. It didn't fit in the elevator and they carried it up 4 flights of stairs and it barely, barely fit and they got that sofa in the new apartment. THANK YOU! -As above, they problem solved and worked well together. Johnny was a great leader and kept the team organized and on track. -A couple pieces of furniture got some minor dings, but overall they were careful, took good care of our stuff, didn't scratch the walls at all, and unloaded stuff into the right spots. They were responsive to positioning stuff where asked and totally friendly about it! -I don't remember who we spoke to on the phone when we booked the team, but the customer service was great. One thing that tipped us towards booking them was: we asked how much experience their movers had and they said many of their team leads had been there for 5-6 years and everyone had been there for at least 1-2 years. -Overall, this operation inspired our trust and confidence - which is really what counts when other people are moving your stuff. My partner and I physically couldn't have moved this all on our own. We certainly wouldn't have gotten the sofa in here - that was seriously impressive- and they saved us HOURS AND HOURS of time if we had tried to do it ourselves. -It cost about $700 for 3 hours of moving, 30 minutes of travel time, and materials (about $30), not including tipping. I was looking for help just to move my pre-packed boxes and furniture for a 1-bedroom in-city move, and the team of 3 guys they sent did great: They were a punctual, careful, courteous, and efficient. Just a small annoyance on costs that dampened the experience... have a paper check ready! Using a credit card adds a charge, and materials (even just tape to wrap the furniture blankets they provided) will also be extra -- these were all communicated only at the time of payment at the end (I had been in contact with them through Yelp, and they only advised their hourly rate, and never sent over the cost estimate/quote despite a couple requests). With the stress and exhaustion from the move, I didn't have the energy to dispute it further -- apart from this, these guys are perfectly fine for your move. read more

Super disappointed in the recent service I received from this company. We used this company a year ago to move from 2 apartments, into 1 and had an AMAZING experience! The elevator even broke in one of the apartments, and the team still moved all of my stuff out (and I lived on the 6th floor). That team consisted of 3 men, who completed the job in about 3.5 hours. Super stellar service! Recently, we moved out of that same apartment and into a new home. We had a different team, but still had 3 people moving our stuff. It took them 4 hours to move our stuff out of the apartment. FOUR (even though the previous team had moved all our stuff out and into the new apartment in 3.5 hours). They left the apartment and headed for the house without telling me. It took them only 2.5 hours to unload the truck (even with some missteps), so why did it take them 4 hours to load it up at the apartment? They also completely messed up our entry way, trying to get a couch through the doorway. They not only scraped off new paint, but also scraped off part of the drywall on 2 separate walls. These were walls that had just recently been repainted too. They also dragged the couch across our wood floors, with the fabric side down (allowing the couch to pick up dust and other gunk the previous owners left from the floor). I get the couch is heavy, but I don't appreciate my furniture getting ruined because it is being dragged across the floor (yes, it was ruined, as it now has stains on it). Lastly, towards the end of the move, they were running around, almost throwing boxes down, stopped asking us where to put things and started putting boxes in random rooms. Overall, it was a terrible experience compared to the previous service we had received a year ago. If I knew the names of the teams, I would recommend the first team, but I absolutely would not risk getting the second team again. Unfortunately since I don't know the names of the teams we worked with, I likely will not recommend or use this company again. read more

Five years ago I signed up for Yelp just to give these guys the Glowing review they richly deserved. Today, I'm more than pleased to report that I can leave another. These guys are, hands down, the best way to move house I've found. Reasonably priced (they'll Scotty you on their estimate, I've found. Both times I've used them they've come in significantly under estimate, which when dealing with all the other costs involved with a move is a welcome relief. YMMV, of course, but they're batting 1.000 for me). Again, the crew was incredibly friendly and professional. Big shout out to Yeti, Turkey, and The Ginger (sorry, I'm absolute rubbish with remembering people's names) for making the move into my family's new house as smooth a transition as can be expected when moving from a place where five years of stuff has accumulated. Additionally, I have to thank the crew again for being so overly careful when getting stuff up the stairs. Having just bought our first house, it was refreshing to see a business care as much about not dinging the walls/door frames/etc as I do. These guys are incredible. I've used a lot of movers and had both good and horrendous moves before, but these guys are top-notch! We moved with our crew of John, Bobby, Johnny, and Andrii and they were all friendly, incredibly fast, and extraordinarily careful with our belongings. In every move you expect a couple of bumps and possible scratches, but with these guys no damage at all. Everything was moved intact, neither the exit house nor our new house had a bump of any kind. Highest quality moving experience. But the price of the move was very inexpensive (in part due to their expertise and great speed). They came in at less than half the estimates given by other local moving companies. Great quality moving at low prices. You cannot do better than this. I highly recommend them for any move and would not use anyone else ourselves. read more

Johnny, Jacob and another person whose name I sadly can't remember showed up on time, were 100 percent friendly and professional and did a great job navigating tricky environments both at pickup (Belltown apartment building) and drop off (steep hill in Shoreline). Have had these guys do a local move for us twice now in Seattle. Both times were pretty good, but the most recent one was great. Scheduling/ quote was great, and always responsive. On move day, Brandon and his crew worked hard, got things done quickly, and even went the extra mile on getting a couch in that looked like it wouldn't fit (lifted it through a window!). What can I say? Moving is almost always a stressful experience. This time was worse than normal: An ice storm came through our destination city just as we had scheduled to move with Can't Stop Moving. Faced with the prospect of not being able to get into our new home, Eric reassured us that they'd get the job done. When they got to our new place, they realized they were in over their heads and couldn't get their truck up an icy hill to our new house. Eric demonstrated outrageous professionalism and arranged for a storage unit, as well as a reimbursement for hiring in-town movers to finish the job. As frustrating as the experience was, I can't express enough how professional and courteous Eric and his team were through the entire process. He went above and beyond his call of duty to make sure we were okay. In less icy circumstances, I'm pretty sure this would have been the least stressful move I'd ever endured thanks to Can't Stop Moving. read more

This was our 5th move with CSM, unfortunately, it was not the best experience. We booked a long distance move well in advanced and were promised the same excellent service and experienced movers that we received during our other moves. They no longer have their great coordinator on board who was very communicative with customers and that may have made the difference. Our movers were very nice and hard working but not as well trained as they needed to be. Both had never been on a long distance move before. On moving day, we waited for their arrival but could not get a hold of the driver and received no calls. Come to find out, the truck had broken down and could not be repaired until the next day, pushing back our move an extra day. We had to call the owner to get this information. Also, communication between the head office and the movers was non-existent. The guys didn't even know that they were spending the night in town so we could get an early start the next day. We drove them to the hotel and back. The packing job was not stellar (again, due to lack of training) and many of our items, as well as a wall in our new home, had scratches, chips, and dents...not worth reporting, but still discouraging. There seemed to be no recognition that we were longtime, loyal customers. Wish I had known about the changes in the company. I would have booked elsewhere. read more

I've used CSM three times. While I agree with the majority of the reviews as far as the courteous and professional nature of the crews, the experience of the move itself depends on the team that shows up on your moving day. The first two crews that helped me move were great: timely, efficient, and careful. The most recent crew (I moved this past Labor Day weekend) was not impressive. This crew damaged my dresser and bed frame quite a bit (to the point of having to contemplate buying new furniture!), took paint off the walls in the house I was moving from, didn't listen to suggestions on how to move items, struggled with taking apart a simple bed frame, and were clearly not experienced movers. They also did not seem to be very careful or concerned with smaller items; just dumping everything haphazardly into a large box. The lack of professionalism of this crew was a big disappointment, and even after positive experiences in the past, I would be extremely reluctant to use CSM again. If you choose to go with CSM, I recommend asking which crew has been assigned to your move and the experience of the individuals. read more

NOTE: I've made edits throughout this review to provide information Can't Stop Moving sent me following my original 2-star review. I appreciate their following up with me! --- There are enough five-star reviews here on Yelp that it's probably safe to say Can't Stop Moving is good when it comes to the move, but the pricing model they lay out in their estimation email is a little unorthodox, I think. Not necessarily good nor bad, but definitely different. - Firstly, CSM has the highest hourly rate ($180/hr) among all the Seattle movers I contacted who have a 4- or 5-star rating on Yelp. Reviews from 2014 suggest CSM used to charge $145/hr for three movers, but this is not the case anymore. Perfectly fine for a business to increase their rates, but if you're a former customer, be aware prices have changed significantly. (This really caught me off guard with Super Friends Moving, for example, which went from $140/hr to $170/hr in two years.) EDIT: CSM has emailed me to say their higher pricing comes down to their efforts to give their employees a good benefits package. No fault in that, whatsoever. In fact, I'm very glad to hear they're treating their employees well. That's the mark of a good company, in my book. - CSM also charges "for the full time to and from [their] office in Magnolia." Travel fees are not unusual, but keep this in mind when estimating your moving costs. Not all movers have travel fees or charge them at the normal hourly rate. U-Relax Moving and Deliveries is one of the 5-star companies that doesn't do this, if you're looking for a more affordable alternative that still has good reviews. They have a small, flat rate fuel charge, as of 2016. EDIT: From their email, "In the event of unexpected traffic delays or large variances in actual time vs. estimated travel we always work with our customers as well to ensure satisfaction." - There is a "5% surcharge on credit/debit purchases" with CSM. This made me uncomfortable. A surcharge for credit cards is normal in the moving industry (and many others), but 5% is higher than the 2-3% norm, which is the rough fee a business gets charged to process your plastic. Unless CSM is getting ripped off by a bank when it comes to credit card fees, it looks like they're taking an extra 2-3% for swiping your card. I hope I'm wrong. Their email doesn't mention a cash discount, but a few reviews here seem to suggest they do have one for 10% off. If you use CSM, cash is the way to go. - They also charge for tape and stretch/shrink wrap. ("Each roll of tape used is $5." / "We charge $5 for each piece that has to be shrink wrapped.") Yes, they charge for *each piece* that needs wrap. They say packing materials such as these usually cost $10-$60 per move, but I think it's obvious that, depending on your situation and furniture, it could easily add up to more. EDIT: Judging by their email to me, it sounds like they use more materials than the average mover to cut down on damage. I think I'd still like to see that factored into their hourly rate, even if it meant that had to be higher, but that's just my opinion. Others may feel differently. - Any item that needs "to be hoisted up or down through an upper floor porch/balcony/window will incur a $75/piece fee." I'm not sure I believe an extra fee for a crazy-complicated service like this is unreasonable, but $75 *per piece* seems high. I mean, you have to be a very skilled mover to do this well, but the hand of a god does not have to reach down from the heavens to accomplish the task. EDIT: From their email, "Hoisting is another item that we do tend to work with our customers on if their are multiple pieces, and rarely is someone charged the full $75/piece unless there are extreme circumstances. The reason we charge extra fees for that is for the potential liability associated with hoisting." I should mention CSM gave me the fastest time estimate out of all the movers I requested quotes from. However, little fees add up, and I could easily spend $1,000 on a small move under their pricing model, even if it was done quickly, even if I paid by cash. I hate to leave a negative review, especially for a company I've had minimal contact with, but no one else seems to be mentioning their pricing model or exorbitant credit/debit card surcharge. read more

We recently hired Can't Stop Moving to help us move our furniture and larger items a short distance to our new home. They responded quickly to our request for a quote, which was helpful because we had a deadline to meet. We worked hard to move our smaller boxes out ourselves and prepped for the big move, including making pathways for the movers, bagging up our mattresses, etc. They were able to complete our move in just over 4 hours, including having to dismantle and set up the furniture. After they finished, they cut their price significantly because it took a lot less time than we anticipated. What a nice outcome! The estimate came in two hours under but anyone who has moved before knows all too well it's difficult to predict. They were very responsive in our estimate, and prompt in responding to our inquiry. Brandon, Nick, and Michael came right on time the day of our move, and were a big help in our move (during Covid-19 at that) and they were very friendly and took great care of all of our items. They used lots of padding, wrapped everything up with great care, and took all items we asked them to take. I did not have a good experience today with Can't Stop Moving. I hired them to move a couch, ottoman, and a bunch of boxes from my house in Seattle to my parents new house in Mill Creek. My appointment time was 1:30pm. At 1:50pm, they called me to tell me they were running an hour late, and that they would be there by 2:30pm. Note that they did not call me before they were late, they called me when they were already 20 minutes late. They finally showed up at 3:20pm. Almost 2 hours late. The guys were nice once they arrived. They packed up all of our stuff into their truck and we headed over to Mill Creek. The couch we had moved was giant, so they tried to fit it in the front door, but failed. In the process they poked a hole in the screen door. They made no attempt to offer any type of compensation for this - they were just like, oops sorry. Eventually the couch got inside, along with everything else. Then, it was time to pay. I'm asked - so are you paying with cash so you get the 10% discount? Um, no I was unaware that that was available. I reviewed all of my email correspondence from the company and it wasn't mentioned once. So, even though they showed up 2 hours late, poked a hole in the screen door, and didn't tell me in advance that paying in cash saves you 10%, they wouldn't give me the 10% off price when I wrote a check because that was all I had. I asked if they'd take a credit card and they said they REALLY didn't want to because it was a pain. So, I would never hire these guys again. The actually movers were nice I guess but I mean the issues and their solutions them to them were really unacceptable and extremely unprofessional.
