I've periodically owned a piano since childhood (now pushing 50) and have only ever used and recommended Blind Mike. He is a wonder to watch, and I have fond childhood memories that led me to use him throughout adulthood. He's professional, well knowledge and seemilonlgy will take on just about any form of piano form needing tuning. As a Seattleite, I consider him a Seattle gem. read more

10/10 would recommend! Truly the King of Piano tuning and extremely open and friendly! Can't wait to see him again in 6 months read more

Good response time and communication, punctuality and great service. I would definitely be using Mike to get my piano tuned annually.

Amazing service and timely and great price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mike really knows how to make a piano sing. I have two pianos that he regularly services. Thank you, Mike!

Friendly, fantastic service that provides excellent tuning using stretched octaves upon our request.

Mike is to fixing pianos as Beethoven was to composing on them...both absolute geniuses. I can't believe A. That I now have a (real) piano B. That said piano is almost 100 years old C. That Mike was able to make it sound like it just rolled out of the factory (is that what happened back in the day?) He does tuning, he does cleaning, he brings an assistant (which was awesome, especially trying to remove the top from a baby grand) and they're both extremely thorough and kind. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again (and need to, for that cleaning!) Thanks for making my "music" sound better than it really does! read more

Mike was great! He spent a ton of time on our poor old piano. He gave us a very fair price considering all the work he did on it. This guy totally knows his stuff. We highly highly recommend. We are now jamming on our newly playing piano! read more

My piano sounds beautiful. The best it's ever sounded. My piano tuner retired and I took a chance based upon the reviews. Mike and Matteo make a great team. I feel very lucky to have found them. I highly recommend. read more

Mike Gill came with his helper Mateo and did an excellent job tuning and fixing my piano. It had already been tuned once recently - and not very well. The first gentleman tried to lubricate the sticky keys but "gave up" and recommend I get someone else to work on it. Mike took the shop piano apart, retuned it, and fixed all the keys to perfection! I now have a lovely piano that will be a pleasure to play. I can't recommend Mike enough. He has been doing this type of work for over 50 years and knows how to take care of business. As an added bonus his pricing was VERY reasonable! read more

Mike is amazing at his job and really took his time to tune my piano. My piano plays beautifully now. My piano teacher said it sounded so good! The whole process is smooth and easy. I highly recommend Mike to anyone who needs their piano tuned. read more

I just had my piano tuned by Mike. As always, very pleasant. Everything in my previous review is still true. He really has good ears! My old 1936 Acrosonic sounds so amazing now! Immediately after the tuning, my kids practiced piano for much longer than usual. Yes, they could tell that the piano sounded much better! When the piano sounds better, they enjoy playing and would like to practice more. I highly recommend Blind Mike's Piano Service. For parents who always have a hard time to make your kids practice piano, it's time to consider tuning your piano. read more

I really liked Mike's piano tuning, the piano sounds beautiful after his service highly recommend it

Mike came highly recommend from my sons piano teacher, we found a free piano that needed to be tuned after moved and Mike took care of us. He was professional, reliable, prompt and very pleasant to work with. Highly recommended his services. Scheduling was fast and efficient, will definitely use Mike for future tunings and references. read more

Mike and his assistant were so sweet and managed to fit us in last minute since they had a cancellation late Saturday afternoon. I honestly don't know what Mike did but it is amazing to hear how rich the sound is now for our thirty year old mahogany Yamaha piano (my parents were sweet to gift me the piano that I learned to play on when I was young). My dad was chuckling that my humble upright piano is now sounding like a baby grand piano. Would highly recommend Mike and they fortunately send one a postcard annually to remind you when you are due for your next tuning. read more

When I moved to Seattle 3.5 years ago, my upright piano had been in storage for two years and needed tuning. I called Mike and he came and tuned it perfectly. I continue to use Mike's tuning expertise every 1.5-2 years and he has been totally professional and very thorough each time. I highly recommend Mike read more

Mike was magical to watch and listen to! He tuned the piano all by ear and it's obvious he has perfect pitch. Our piano plays beautifully now. Thank you! read more

Mike did a fabulous job on my very out-of-tune piano. I bought it 3rd hand and it hadn't been tuned in 15 years. Mike arrived on time and his mastery of his craft was evident. My piano sounds more beautiful than I thought possible and I am so happy with his service. If you want an outstanding, reliable and affordable piano tuner, you can't do better than Mike Gill's Piano Service. First rate!!! read more

Very professional and very patient. My piano was WAY out of tune but Mike did an amazing job, he made my piano sounds like a million bucks. Wonderful human, I'll love to have him back in the future. read more

Blind Mike's Piano Service - Piano Services Near Me - Seattle, Washington

Sooo happy with service! Everything was professional and kind, and most importantly my piano is in tune and for a very reasonable price (as compared to other tuners I've tried in the area previously who tried to "tune" the piano in 15 minutes, it wasn't tuned or voiced well, and then they charged a LOT more. Never again!). And, they came all the way to Everett, so additional kudos for that. On a weird side note, both of my cats who are usually pretty neurotic with new people (they're both teenagers and both have different, special needs), LOVED him and were super fascinated by his presence. Considering they both usually run away from many things, especially strangers, I take this as a good sign. :) read more

Mike fixed two broken keys and did a great job tuning my piano, all for a reasonable price. Happy to recommend him.

I am a true believer in Mike Gill. My piano was factory tuned to A-437 and the prior tuning had made the lower notes even lower. I called Mike out of desperation, and asked for a concert tuning. Bless his heart, he came over and raised my entire piano tuning by 3 cents! You have no idea how happy this makes me. In case you were wondering, Blind Mike is actually blind. I don't mean to sound like Glenn Gould in "A Romance on Three Legs", but I have a great deal of respect for a guy that can tune a piano by touch alone. Mike did a wonderful job, and I plan to have him back again and again. read more

What a delight! Mike came all the way out to West Seattle to make our vintage, inherited piano, sound beautiful. He was kind and courteous and clearly an expert at what he was doing. Plan on giving him a call every time our piano needs a tune-up in the future. read more

After reading reviews on Yelp our friends had a roughly 1940s Fisher upright which our kids had been taking lessons on for years and definitely needed a tune. Mike arrived early armed with a tuning fork and his wrench. In about 80 minutes, the piano sounded like a different instrument! Super cool to watch/listen during the process. We also had some chipped keys which Mike offered to repair for us if needed. We even had a nice conversation with his colleague (can't recall his name!) while we were waiting. Super happy we made the decision to tune with Mike. read more

Hired Mike to tune my 100 yr old cabinet grand. He did the job quickly and for a reasonable price. After he left a few things didn't sound quite in tune and he did some extra stretching on some strings to loosen up some corrosion or rust that had gathered causing them to sound dead. I called Mike back up and asked if he could come back and check it out. He did at no extra cost to me. He even went the extra effort to fix some squeaks and noises the pedals were making. Great work! read more

Did a very nice and thorough job on our Kawai upright Piano. I though it would require overall tensioning but Mike said tuning was all it needed. read more

Mike and his wife/partner were very professional and friendly to work with! I'd highly recommend- my piano has never sounded better! I'm a first time user of his service but now a loyal customer! read more

Mike did a great job tuning our piano today! We have a 1902 Steinway and it's never sounded better. Great friendly service and really enjoyed chatting with Mike! read more

Great service and communication and the piano sounds the best it's ever sounded. I definitely recommend them!

My piano had keys that were sticking and had been out of tune for a long time. Mike repaired the keys and tuned the piano - which is a fascinating process to watch. He did a absolutely fantastic job - and tunes the piano by ear. It sounds as good as the day I bought it. He has been repairing and tuning piano's for 50 years and he is most definitely a master craftsman. read more

Only good things to say. On time. Taught me several things about the piano I didn't know.

Mike is the best piano tuner. He is precise and amazing to watch. My kids have been taking piano for the past nine years and have gone through lots of piano tuners. We are sticking with mike until he retires. He is that good. read more

Mike is amazing and has been tuning my Grand piano for as long as I've lived in Seattle - 20+ years. He is the consummate professional, and does a wonderful job. Over the years he has tuned, cleaned, and voiced my piano, and when he's done it makes this pianist smile as it sounds so wonderful. I would not use anyone else to ever tune my instrument. I must assume that Mike has perfect pitch given that he's blind; yet makes my piano sing. I can't recommend him highly enough. I will never let anyone else in the Seattle area ever touch my piano. read more

Great service. Exactly what you want when you invite someone into your home to tinker with a family heirloom that has been far from pampered over the years. Mike got me onto his schedule right away, arrived on time, identified the vintage of my piano within a few years by feel, tuned it up beautifully (and quickly), and was also extremely friendly and engaging. Highly recommend. read more

Gambled on an old Steinway and hoped someone could get it going. Prior to the repair, keys/hammers were stuck or weren't working altogether. Mike pulled out the action and returned a couple weeks later. Action parts were repaired and the piano tuned. I actually enjoyed sitting there an watching him to go work. New bridal straps, felt, replacement of a broken string, tuning and whatever else he did cost me a little over $400 which was very reasonable to me. On top of that, he (and Pam) couldn't be any nicer! I don't usually write reviews but this guy deserves it! read more

Our piano had not been tuned in probably ten years and it was built in 1902. Mike had no problem working on it and said there might be a couple of things that might need fixing in the future (no big deal), but for now it was "good to go". He was here for 1 1/2 hours and held to his price. He is a man of gifting and integrity. Don't look any further. His friend is on top of bookings and reminders and their teamwork is seamless. read more
