Hi all , I have been looking for a travel trailer to suit my family's needs . My wife and i looked private party and other dealers. We went to see several trailers from offer up posts and fb marketplace. We were told one thing then went yo see them and they were not in the condition we expected. We even went to other camping world locations. We either met with showroom who just wanted to sell us anything. We wanted the right one at the right price. Enter stage Jacob . He was patient heard us out and gave us what we were looking for at a point we were not ready yo commit to a price point that was above what we wanted to spend. Instead of giving up or moving on he offered many other options from same model types or manufactured to even preowned versions of the one we really liked. Ultimately it took a few days but he kept searching and negotiating till we felt good about the investment. We ended up getting the new one we wanted with the right features. We added solar panel and inverter and distribution hitch and for peace of mind Joseline in financed helped us get a great finance package to be able to add extended warranties. All in we found that we were treated very well and they never hesitated to answer us . That was before the sell. If you're getting a used camper from them...don't. Our Jayco Eagle was only a year old, it had a few MINOR things that were broken and we were told they would be fixed when we came to pick it up. It's our fault, for not checking before taking the camper off the lot but it's also sad that we can't trust people to be accountable and do as they say, especially as a business. I went in with my baby and the manager was condescending and said we didn't have anything in writing saying these things would be fixed so basically we were screwed. My husband went in with us the next time and the manager was much more polite and accommodating which is ridiculous and infuriating. They then said they would fix some things but not all and that we had to bring it in to get everything fixed...but now the camper is falling apart even more and the extended warranty through good Sam is crap, they just fight you on claims. read more

Unfortunately, I reviewed this too early. My husband and I were so happy to acquire this trailer, but once you sign the papers, they don't keep their promises. We talked with the manager and sales person about what we needed to make this trailer perfect for us: rails to bring the bed down and a fence to keep our old dog safe. They assured us they could order everything quickly. However, it's been more than three months, and the fence they ordered for us was given to another customer to make a sale! This is ridiculous. Even after taking measurements, they still keep asking us for them. Nobody is taking this seriously. Once they make the sale, you're on your own. Absolutely the worst experience buying a used motorhome . We were looking for a used motorhome had it narrowed down down to 3 one at a dealer and 2 privet owner. so on 3/10/25 we went and seen a 2013 Thor Daybreak with 13K at the camping world in menifee had appt at 12:00pm and we got there a little early and checked in and they were stumbling around and the unit we went to see was on there web site. so then they said it was in the shop being worked on so this vehicle had not been reconditioned yet so should have not been listed yet so we found some issues so then we went and listen to sales pitch which said they are replacing all 6 tires and replacing the 2 batteries for the coach and service the generator. All that sounded good so we made the deal and put the deposit down and was to be ready Friday at 9:00am so we made reservations for Friday through Sunday at lake skinner just to check things out. We get a call on Thursday and they said that they need to change the time to 11:00am. we get there at 11:00 and then we go to finance to sign all that paperwork so 45 minutes later still not ready so they said it was ready went and did the walk around in the rain at 1:30pm. so got the keys and went to drive out and the ABS light was on so went back and 30 minutes later tech comes out with a scanner and hour later they said that I could take to make our reservation and then drop it off Sunday and then it would go to the ford dealership So while he's doing I figured better check the light and have the running lights we out the changed at least 9light bulbs. no QC process at all. also told them steering wheel is way off center and an ear piercing noise in the brake. so a couple of weeks later got it back light is out a steering wheel is better but brake noise is still there. So about 3 weeks late went to an RV park in cherry valley and we had to jump it to start it. and then on 5/15 took it in to Riverside to have the electrical checked out and the slide out would not close all the way. Around the end of may the parts were in and should be ready by 6/9 or 6/10 which was fine because we have a trip on the 14th. So on the 9th did not get a call so on the 10rh at 11:53 called the writer said he will check with tech and call me back. by 5:05 no call so I called them and I guy answered and said sevice was closed I kinda went off and what are talking about you web site and paper work say 5pm he said don't know what to tell you they are closed. So called Wednesday and then they said was writer was off today and can send me to his voicemail and he will call you back tomorrow told her no I need an answer now this is getting closer to not making our trip so I called camping worlds complaint line and a lady called back and went over everything with her and she called the service manager and explained to him what was going on. So serviv manager called on Wednesday and said the he doesn't know what's going on with this repair which stupid a manager should know what's going on in his shop. So that tells me they don't have a production meeting in the morning. I work at a corporate body shop and have to call customers twice a week and our manager knows what's going on all the cars in the shop and we have 20 40 cars in repairs. so he did call back and said will be done on Thursday so I took 3 hrs off work to go get it so when went to writers desk he laid out 3 copies of paperwork and said sign here and you owe $200 did not go over what was done said heres your key. so walked out to coach and opened the door and the steps didnt come out so checked switch was on double checked the battery button and it was on so went back to writer he came out and looked and it for a few minutes and then said I don't know. He offered to give a stool to use so we can go on our trip. told him I had took Friday off work and fix it and call when done. So sent another message to there complaint dept she's called me Friday morning all apologetic and that they will make this right. So she called back few hours later and said she spoke with the service manager, and the manager said there was no steps on the work order when it was dropped off I explained to her yes there would not be no steps on the work they worked fine when I dropped it off so she said she'd call service manager again and apparently he said that he the steps by Wednesday but it would cost $300 and I said you don't expect me to pay this since it stopped working there. They said well it's an older motorhome things it happen on You need to fix it so going after a phone calls. I told him it's under warranty just fix it you guys had already screwed up my get it done. This motorhome has been in their shop longer than I've had it here at the house. I was only able to use it twice. Also, under the repairs, they said the coach batteries were weak that they should be replaced and I explained to them that was part of the deal when I bought it they were supposed to change the batteries then. read more

Recently traded in our travel trailer to an upgrade. Beware of there slick options that add a significant amount to the total financing ‼ As we were finalizing the contract, I noticed an 11,000 increase to the financed price ‼ When I asked for the reason , that should of been explained . He danced around instead of answering my simple question . They only mentioned the small amount of 40 dollars per month extra for the extended warranty instead of telling me it totaled 8,000 to the amount financed ‼ The second slick option that was supposedly mandatory , which would add 2,100 ‼That amount was for cleaning inside and outside of the trailer, fill up of propane, personal info walk through of trailer, membership to good Sam ‼ I finally told them to disconnect the trailer and cancel the contract ‼ All of a sudden after talking to the general manager 11,000 was removed ‼ read more

We don't recommend any camping world facility to buy an rv trailer. They pull the ol switch the price, won't tell you the out the door price without filling out a credit app, try high pressure sales tactics and say you have to finance through them even if your paying cash. They don't like it when they are told no and understand the sales tactics and flip it back on them. There is a reason a Facebook page called "camping world sucks" and 43,000 plus members can't be wrong. Page is growing daily with many people that have the same experiences. read more

He was not pushy and let us roam around and view different trailers, when he noticed we were interested in one, he made his way to us and went over the details on that specific trailer. This is my first Yelp review ever... I NEVER review businesses. My husband and I purchased a trailer from here in July when it was still Richardson's RV. Before I go on, all the same people we purchased this trailer from are still working here, nothing has changed except for ownership, and they told us nothing would change but ownership when we expressed concern about being able to bring it in for servicing and such. We are a law enforcement family with two littles, and our oldest was just diagnosed with autism. We decided to purchase a trailer to be able to go out and enjoy trips as a family, and take our autistic son out camping because he is very much a busy bee and LOVES to be outside. We purchased our trailer from the Temecula location but it had to be shipped down from the Colton location since they didn't have the one we wanted in stock... no big deal. We waited a couple days and went to pick it up when it arrived. When we went to pick it up we noticed the corner of the slide out was cracked and hitting the fender. It didn't fit correctly. We advised we wouldn't take the trailer off the lot until it was fixed, and were pressured to take it that day, that the problem was NORMAL and wouldn't affect usability. We said no as we were buying it new off the lot and it needed to be in new condition. They continued to push stating that if it broke we could always file a claim through the warranty. Ultimately we did not leave with it that day and told them it needed to be fixed. We also noticed the table was broken and was the wrong size for the trailer. They stated they placed an order that day for a new table and would call us when it was ready for pick up. When we purchased the trailer we also advised them we would be renting out the trailer to help pay for itself and that unfortunately the table issue would hold us back from being able to do that. They said it would be about 2-3 week turn around for the table. We went camping once and did not use the table (because we couldn't) and while we were camping, my two toddlers were sleeping inside while we were sitting outside the trailer with friends. The fire alarm went off and when we went inside, it smelled like burnt chemicals and we had to air out the camper. Put the kids back to sleep and it happened a second time. We called Camping world several times who continues to tell us that was normal and the people who put the trailers together likely didn't "burn off the coating in the vent". I knew this wasn't the case and continued to push to have the trailer seen. They advised they could not get it in for a month. I had to call 5+ times to get them to say yes to taking the trailer in and dealt with a LOT of sass around the issue and was made to feel like an idiot for not believing them about the "coating". When we finally got the trailer assessed, it did in fact have trash and plastic left in the vent that was burning and causing the fire alarm to go off. I'm sure that was really great for my kids to be inhaling. We asked about the table at this point and were told they never ordered it and would be ordering it for us ASAP so we could put the trailer to use. Between then and now, we have called over 10 times to get an update on this stupid table and get the run around every single time. "The manager isn't in..." "We don't have anyone in service right now to answer your question or look it up" "Ill call you back shortly with an answer" and then they never call. Seriously that alone has happened 5 times. My husband finally goes in in person on Tuesday and they tell him the same thing, there's no one there to answer his question and they'll call back with an update. To our great surprise, they called back today and stated once again, that they do not have the freaking table, they lost ALL their records from the switch over to Camping World and will order it today. Listen, lying is NEVER okay when dealing with your customers. We have spoken to employees several times since they switched over to Camping World. This was a straight up lie, my husband called them out on it and they continued to sit in that lie and claim they never knew. We have now lost out on 4+ months of income that could have been generated by this trailer and I'm pissed. Pissed enough to take it to civil court honestly. We don't even want the trailer anymore because of all the problems we've come across. Four months later and still nothing. You guys suck. I will be telling everyone and their mother not to purchase from you guys. read more

My experience is very similar to Shea. Purchased a brand new trailer in April 2022 from Richardson's temecula who was bought out by camping world. The trailer has various problems, and trying to get ahold of someone is nearly impossible. You will either be put on hold or hung up on. The "extended warranty" which was at least 20% of the trailer cost seems very useless. Lots of things are not covered, and they will make you bring in your trailer two three four times. In my opinion this place is not honest with its customers, and do anything to sell you a trailer and warranty and get you out the door. I would reconsider doing business here. It seems they want to be in business for the short term, to sell as many trailers and BS warranties as they can. Because there is no way they can think they will stay in business long term with their lack of customer service and just being good people in general. VERY SHADY. read more

We made the mistake of "buy online and pick up in the store. We picked up the Rv in the rain. We were not offered a test drive. On the way home the Rv was hard to steer, rattles and soft breaks that went to the floor. Called Ed in sales when we got home. We were told don't worry service in menifee will fix Everything! NOPE, they refused the unit and it sat at Fold for 4 weeks as they tossed parts at it. After calling every manager, director and corporate office . We were told pick up the Rv. Nope not fixed. Jayco travel trailers Mesa Ridge Lite are made so cheap. Staples hold many of the wood fittings together. If you want a long-term unit do not use this model and do not buy from camping world Temecula if you want honest opinions. We wanted to be treated like we could trust this dealership, but they sold us a brand-new unit with major defects. Do not invest because they are not good quality. once you drive off the lot, they do not honor your business. I can say working with Edward the manager of the dealership is a waste of time because he does not understand what it means when someone buys a unit and wants it to be dependable and last.
