bought used a sandstorm toyhauler, the day I picked it up the slide out did not work efficiently, slow stops, have to keep pushing the button, only used it a few trips and finally quit working, took it in to repair, they said the wiring had pulled away from the motor and shorted the motors and the controller and the service contract they sold me would not cover the repair (contract is not worth the paper its written on) that I would have to pay $2500.00 for the repair, I turned it over to my insurance company under my comprehensive and they covered it, when picking it up they said that it was a really noisy slide, which it was ever since it bought it, we had only used the unit 3 times since picking it up and it started with the same issue I originally took it in for. I had enough of this so I decided to trade it in,found a deal on another rv so I went to clean out my sandstorm so I could trade it in. when letting out the slide it pitched sideways and would not go back in. I called the service department and they said it he's been almost a year and it could be a number of issues and they couldn't look ot it for 2 weeks. we'll moron I can't tow it with the slide sticking out. and I had an appointment to take my trade in the next weekend and could not trade it in like that. so I called a mobile rv tech for help. he came out in a couple of days, found that one of the motors they said they had replaced was bad, after looking over what they said they repaired it looks like nothing was done, the motor was rusted and corroded, the wiring harness had a date code from 2019, my trailer was a 2020, it was the original harness or they used old parts and charged for new, after the mobile tech installed the motor the slide worked perfect, quiet, smooth like it should, I almost didn't want to trade it in but I was already committed. Will never recommend thus place to anyone. read more
