AMAZING! My wife, mother and I stopped at Zion for the day for some hiking and ended our day at this restaurant. Quick, friendly, inviting service. Hands down the best fried chicken sandwich we've had; honestly, Chick-fil-A could never do it the way they do! Ambiance was great for after an all-day hike. 100% recommend and can't wait to come back. read more

I was very excited to try after a long day of hiking. Upon arriving, you have to stand in line to place your order. One of the members of my party decided to take a seat as I placed our order. One of the workers raised his voice and shouted, " If you haven't ordered, GET UP!" We were left confused and decided to leave, while we understand you need to order first the worker could have said it in a much nicer way and tone. High review with service like that? read more

Camp Outpost - The Outpost Club (DELICIOUS) and the Saratoga Pork Roast with a side of Brussel sprouts. - New American Near Me - Springdale, Utah

Camp Outpost is a great addition to the food scene in Springdale. It's located at stop #4 on the Zion/Springdale shuttle. We're staying at our favorite, the Desert Pearl, so it's an easy walk on the same property. We ate here two times on this trip and both meals were outstanding. It's not fancy, but it's definitely fine dining. We ate outside on the patio with fantastic views of Zion. The first night I had the sausage plate, which doesn't come close to capturing it. It includes three different grilled sausages, each with a unique flavor, plus grilled onions, peppers, and corn on the cob. My wife had the rotisserie half chicken. Very flavorful and juicy on a bed of veggies and potatoes. The second night I had the Camp burger and it was cooked perfectly and so flavorful that I didn't use the barbecue sauce I thought I would need. They allowed me to substitute a side Caesar salad for the fries, so that was great. My wife had the pork sandwich which was loaded with pork slices and topped with a jalapeño coleslaw that was tasty but not too spicy. We added a prickly pear margarita and then finished by sharing a chocolate shake (sweet). Very casual vibe with well designed menu items. We'll be back next time we're in town. read more

Good food and an interesting menu with subtle daily changes. I really enjoyed this spot while on vacation. I think this is a solid back up plan. It's a little pricey but they know you're on vacation so it is what it is. No reservation needed and good drinks if you don't have your own. The views from the outside tables are great and indoors is air conditioned. read more

Best burger in Springdale by far! Juicy Camp burger double patties, layered with onions, pickles and sauce...potatoe fries topped with nice selection of drinks just what you need to satisfy that hunger! Must try read more

We stopped because we wanted a beer and decided to order food as well. There was some indoor seating and plenty of outdoor seating as well. Usually at spots like this, the food can be mediocre but we were pleasantly surprised. The shrimp tacos ($17 for two) came out hot and crispy with fresh slaw and a chipotle sauce. They were pretty filling and tasted great as well. The fries were basic, nothing special and a little on the cold side. My partner had a burger which came out to $20 for just the burger with no sides. They charged $2 for a gluten free bun and charged to add cheese. She did enjoy it. Super pricy but food was good and service was quick and friendly. You also can't beat the gorgeous views of the surrounding canyons! read more

It was good, but not the best burger I've ever had per another post. the Brussels sprouts were decent too - we did like the fried pickles and Ceasar salad was yummy too! Service was great, staff very nice and hospitable! read more

Opened about 5 months ago, this is a great addition to the restaurants in Springdale. You order at the counter, then grab seating & your food will be brought out. There's a QR code you can scan to order more food from your table later. My husband and I shared the Slow Roasted Pork Sandwich, Crispy Shrimp Tacos, and Sweet Potato Fries. Everything was tasty! The shrimp tacos were a bit too saucy, but they sure were crispy. The pork sandwich had a ton of oil, but I was so hungry I didn't mind. We sat outside with a view of the mountain, and as the sun set in the canyons it turned the mountains gorgeously glowing red. We typically go to Oscar's when we're in Zion, so to compare the portion sizes are smaller here, but food is delicious! read more

Food, service & ambiance was great. Tried the outpost burger must say it was delicious, my wife tried the chicken club and really enjoyed it as well, my son tried the fried chicken sandwich and gave it a 9.5 out of 10 rating. Said if it was spicier he would have gave it a 10. Lol. We've been coming to Zion for the past 10 years and always had trouble finding a good spot to eat, until now. This place is worth the stop. We'll be coming back every year. read more

This meal absolutely hit the spot after a long day of hiking at Zion. I got the dirty nachos and my dad got the roasted pork sandwich. We were a little surprised that a $15 sandwich didn't come with a side, but it was a generous size and my dad really enjoyed it. My nachos were delicious, the cheese sauce was great and lots of guacamole and pork 'cracklings' which was more like a pork belly or bacon, so good! read more

Came in after a full day of hiking with the family. We were greeted with warm welcomes and quick service for a large group. We came in with 13 people and had plenty of space to sit. Fried chicken sandwich was delicious. A few people in our group purchased the burger and said it was just alright. Highly recommend the fried chicken sandwich. Breaded perfectly, and comes with some tasty fries. You can get some extra sauces on the side that are really tasty. Overall, a great experience. Everyone in our group was well taken care of. I am giving this score a 4/5 for the reasoning that a few people thought their food was just okay. Didn't try it myself. Will be back if I'm ever hiking Zion again. read more

This place was... alright. It's clean (for the most part) and aesthetically pleasing. There's plenty of parking in the dirt lot next to it. Bathrooms are clean. There is plenty of seating both inside and out. Customer service was super friendly. However, service was really, really slow. Like 2-3 groups of patrons who ordered after us received their meals and were halfway through eating them before we got our food. The menu has a small variety, but super overpriced. Was it worth the price? Nope. Our food was not bad, but we wouldn't return at those prices. lol It's a great spot to eat after a hike, but it's nothing spectacular. I believe this place is relatively new because I've never seen it before when I came to Zion previously. However, it's one of the best places to eat in my opinion. I definitely wish they had more food choices on their menu, but nevertheless, what they have currently still sufficed! The first time my husband and I ate here during our stay I got their camp burger, and the second time I had their half chicken. Both dishes were absolutely delicious, but I recommend their half chicken if you're going to have to choose one. My only other concern is that their meat was slightly undercooked so if you want your burger well done make sure to let them know! Service is great otherwise and they have plenty of seating. read more

My wife and I stopped in here for lunch. I ordered a salad and she had the brussel sprouts. They do not have waiters/waitresses here so you have to order at the counter. Loved the family-style chicken dinner here. For those from the Bay Area, think Limon Rotisserie without the Peruvian spin. Card only, no cash when we visited. We were starving after a long day of hiking through beautiful views at Zion and came in with relatively low expectations. Split a half chicken, sweet potato fries, and grilled broccolini. The half chicken was amazing with juicy meat that came off the bone really easily. The chicken came with a salad and smashed potatoes, as well as two sauces (BBQ and charred onion aioli). The broccolini had just the right amount of char and the chili oil added some nice extra heat, which paired well with the smashed potatoes and the charred onion aioli that tempered the spiciness. Sweet potato fries were standard fries, nothing to write home about there. Would definitely come back - it was the best meal we had at Zion food-wise and was a good value too (~$40 for 2 full and happy people)! read more

This restaurant was perfect for our post-hike meal! The interior was decorated very woodsy and had a summer camp-y feel to it, so it felt cozy and almost nostalgic. We ordered 3 things at the counter before finding a table: the grain salad, the Saratoga pork roast, and the outpost club with fries. The outpost club was DELISH!! The mayo tasted so good in the sandwich and wasn't too overpowering, and the chicken was juicy and flavorful. The sandwich itself was toasted perfectly as well. The pork roast was very yummy as well -- I don't usually like grits but I surprisingly loved the grits in this dish! Finally, the grain salad was a bit on the plainer side, but was still a nice addition to the meal. I would love to eat here again, my only complaint is that they sometimes close earlier than they have posted. The first day we tried to eat here around 7:15pm, but they had already stopped taking orders. Kinda confusing, but otherwise loved Camp Outpost! read more

Friendly, casual place for sandwiches & burgers with both indoor & outdoor seating. Order at the counter, take your seat and they bring your food to you. Great food and service in Springdale, right outside of Zion National Park. They are card only. FOOD: Variety of food such as burgers, shrimp tacos, and chicken bowls. They have a kids menu as well. They offer soda, Mexican coke, beer and wine. I had the shrimp tacos which were a great portion (I only finished one and had to take the second to go). Their sweet tea was amazing and staff was attentive to the refills. AMBIENCE: Clean, modern, and hipster. This restaurant looks the most updated out of all the dining areas I saw in Springdale. They even had Adirondack chairs to the left of the register. SEATING: Plenty of seating inside (AC) and outside (fans with water spraying to keep you cool). SERVICE: Friendly staff and food came out within 15 minutes. PARKING: There is complementary parking on the side of the restaurant. TLDR; This was a great place to eat in Springdale. It's a new business that I expect will gain popularity given the great food, ambience, and service. read more
