We arrived at 4:30 and the entire inside was reserved. We sat outside with a view of the street traffic. We came here based on 5 star reviews but were disappointed in the preparation and taste of our food. The crispy Brussels were not cooked enough. The crispy chicken sandwich tasted like it was fried in fish grease. Fries were boring and served with a side of nothing. The 1/4 chicken was good but a little dry. The beer was good. This place was really disappointing, the service was okay they did not seem welcome. Most importantly they said the orange juice was freshly squeeze, but I saw the server carried out a jug of store bought orange juice. The small cup of orange juice was 5 dollars. Tried the outpost burger must say it was delicious, my wife tried the chicken club and really enjoyed it as well, my son tried the fried chicken sandwich and gave it a 9.5 out of 10 rating. Said if it was spicier he would have gave it a 10. Lol. We've been coming to Zion for the past 10 years and always had trouble finding a good spot to eat, until now. This place is worth the stop. Camp Outpost is a great addition to the food scene in Springdale. It's located at stop #4 on the Zion/Springdale shuttle. We're staying at our favorite, the Desert Pearl, so it's an easy walk on the same property. We ate here two times on this trip and both meals were outstanding. It's not fancy, but it's definitely fine dining. We ate outside on the patio with fantastic views of Zion. The first night I had the sausage plate, which doesn't come close to capturing it. It includes three different grilled sausages, each with a unique flavor, plus grilled onions, peppers, and corn on the cob. My wife had the rotisserie half chicken. Very flavorful and juicy on a bed of veggies and potatoes. The second night I had the Camp burger and it was cooked perfectly and so flavorful that I didn't use the barbecue sauce I thought I would need. They allowed me to substitute a side Caesar salad for the fries, so that was great. My wife had the pork sandwich which was loaded with pork slices and topped with a jalapeño coleslaw that was tasty but not too spicy. We added a prickly pear margarita and then finished by sharing a chocolate shake (sweet). Very casual vibe with well designed menu items. We'll be back next time we're in town. read more

Came here around 1 pm on a Thursday. The place was not too busy with 1 party in front of us. I ordered the Camp Caesar ($14.95) and asked to add rotisserie chicken (+$5.95). The older male cashier abruptly said "we don't have any rotisserie chicken to add to a salad. You can order the 1/4, 1/2, or whole chicken but none is available for a salad. I can give you a plain Caesar". HUH?!! Seriously? That doesn't make sense but ok. I had to frantically decide on a pork sandwich with sweet potato fries instead. My husband and daughter split a Mission Salad ($14.95) with grilled shrimp (+$6.95) plus a side of sweet potato fries. We asked for water but he didn't give us any. The guy seemed to have the "I am doing you a favor" attitude. It took over 20 minutes to get our food. My sandwich was decent although it had 2 slices of breaded and fried lemon slices; the rinds were too bitter so I removed them. The salad was ok but had too much dressing. Our fries were over cooked and small portioned. Meh. Despite the other good reviews, we didn't care for this establishment. read more

What a wonderful experience! We arrived and was energetically greeted by June. She was so helpful in helping us choosing what to get by recommending some of her favorites. We ended up with the rotisserie chicken (breast only) as well as the Market salad with shrimp. The food was Superb! Probably the best chicken and potatoes I've ever had! We had a great meal at this place! We ordered shrimp wraps, rotisserie chicken, fried pickles, and club sandwiches. Everything was delicious! I especially loved the potatoes under the chicken. They were so tasty. And the service was amazing! After we sat down, they brought us water and coloring pages and crayons for the kids. Good food and an interesting menu with subtle daily changes. I really enjoyed this spot while on vacation. I think this is a solid back up plan. It's a little pricey but they know you're on vacation so it is what it is. No reservation needed and good drinks if you don't have your own. Came in after a full day of hiking with the family. We were greeted with warm welcomes and quick service for a large group. We came in with 13 people and had plenty of space to sit. Fried chicken sandwich was delicious. A few people in our group purchased the burger and said it was just alright. Highly recommend the fried chicken sandwich. Breaded perfectly, and comes with some tasty fries. You can get some extra sauces on the side that are really tasty. Overall, a great experience. Everyone in our group was well taken care of. I am giving this score a 4/5 for the reasoning that a few people thought their food was just okay. Didn't try it myself. Will be back if I'm ever hiking Zion again. read more

Usually at spots like this, the food can be mediocre but we were pleasantly surprised. The shrimp tacos ($17 for two) came out hot and crispy with fresh slaw and a chipotle sauce. They were pretty filling and tasted great as well. The fries were basic, nothing special and a little on the cold side. My partner had a burger which came out to $20 for just the burger with no sides. They charged $2 for a gluten free bun and charged to add cheese. She did enjoy it. Opened about 5 months ago, this is a great addition to the restaurants in Springdale. You order at the counter, then grab seating & your food will be brought out. There's a QR code you can scan to order more food from your table later. My husband and I shared the Slow Roasted Pork Sandwich, Crispy Shrimp Tacos, and Sweet Potato Fries. Everything was tasty! The shrimp tacos were a bit too saucy, but they sure were crispy. The pork sandwich had a ton of oil, but I was so hungry I didn't mind. We sat outside with a view of the mountain, and as the sun set in the canyons it turned the mountains gorgeously glowing red. We typically go to Oscar's when we're in Zion, so to compare the portion sizes are smaller here, but food is delicious! read more

This restaurant was perfect for our post-hike meal! The interior was decorated very woodsy and had a summer camp-y feel to it, so it felt cozy and almost nostalgic. We ordered 3 things at the counter before finding a table: the grain salad, the Saratoga pork roast, and the outpost club with fries. The outpost club was DELISH!! The mayo tasted so good in the sandwich and wasn't too overpowering, and the chicken was juicy and flavorful. The sandwich itself was toasted perfectly as well. The pork roast was very yummy as well -- I don't usually like grits but I surprisingly loved the grits in this dish! Finally, the grain salad was a bit on the plainer side, but was still a nice addition to the meal. I would love to eat here again, my only complaint is that they sometimes close earlier than they have posted. The first day we tried to eat here around 7:15pm, but they had already stopped taking orders. Kinda confusing, but otherwise loved Camp Outpost! read more

There is plenty of seating both inside and out. Customer service was super friendly. However, service was really, really slow. Like 2-3 groups of patrons who ordered after us received their meals and were halfway through eating them before we got our food. The menu has a small variety, but super overpriced. Was it worth the price? Nope. Our food was not bad, but we wouldn't return at those prices. lol It's a great spot to eat after a hike, but it's nothing spectacular.
