Had really high hopes based on the reviews, however our experience did not reflect. Ordered the Molasses vanilla latte and honestly I had to toss it almost immediately. Wife had the Smoked salt latte and it was interesting but but enough to continue drinking it after a few sips. Almond Croissant was fair, nothing that set it apart from an ordinary croissant bought elsewhere, it came a year colder than lukewarm not my idea of warmed up, got tossed after 2 bites. Anyhow the place is really nicely decorated and nicely put together I wish the rest matched. read more

Great coffee, service and atmosphere! The staff is friendly, the coffee is good. We got a s'mores hot drink that had fresh roasted marshmallow. Nice place! read more

This place has been here for two years yet I've only stumbled upon it on our way to Palomar state park. Very cozy decor with nice mellow soundscapes playing in the background. I ordered the nitro cold brew with mulled spice foam. Good flavor with subtle hint of cinnamon, tho I would've like stronger hit from the cold-brew. Peppermint hot cocoa with oat milk was delicious! Subtle in peppermint, fresh oat-milk was a nice substitute. Also order toast with vegan butter and jam. Nice and simple, the bread the best with its warm firm crunch. Not sure what the bread is but highly recommend if you want something light. read more

Very cute little coffee shop with an array of creative beverages! We stopped by here on our way out of San Diego, and ordered an iced Tribute Latte and a Nitro Cold Brew with Mulled Spice Foam (this is a holiday special). Both drinks were tasty, and prepared relatively quickly even though the shop was pretty busy when we arrived. If you have time to linger, take your coffee to-go and walk over the the Oceanside Pier just several blocks away. read more

Cute new coffee place right by the train station in downtown Oceanside. Ambiance is awesome, and I got the Tribute signature drink. I usually only get dark roast coffee, but I had to try it for my first time there. I enjoyed it! Staff is really friendly, and I'll definitely have to try the pastries next time. read more

Stopped at this place on the way up to OC. The molasses vanilla latte was so good!! Wish it was closer so I could come back more often.

Every time I visit Oceanside I make sure to go to Camp Coffee!! Everyone has always been so friendly, and they make great coffees! I love the fun seasonal coffees and my daughter loves the Matcha latte. Their peppermint mocha is so good. If you like cardamom, you MUST try the ceremony latte or campsite iced cappuccino. In the winter I love the Camp mocha. I don't think you could go wrong with anything you read more

The food tasted good. I ordered the campsite cappuccino with a blueberry lemon scone. The coffee was tasty and strong. The scone was not too sweet and flavorful. The attendants were polite, knowledgeable and helpful. They have an outdoor seating area. The shop was clean with a friendly atmosphere. I recommend checking out this coffee shop. read more

I have tried this place twice, hoping the first time was a fluke since ALL the reviews seem to point this place having great coffee. I beg to differ. I find the coffee acidic and lacking depth of flavor. Last time it tasted SOUR. It is not smooth at all and really did a number on my stomach which is a sign it acidity or improper roasting. I wish them the best but this is not my idea of good coffee, this is just another coffee place to me. Not impressed with it at all. Good luck! read more

Stopped for coffee on our bike ride up to Oceanside. Service was great and the Almond croissant was warm flakey and delicious. I got a drip coffee with steamed milk that I enjoyed. Passing through town on a road trip. Needed caffeine desperately before getting on the road for hours. I choose Camp because they opened early and I really appreciated that. It's a simple space, contemporary and easy going. I liked that there were communal tables for sitting. I enjoyed a peppermint mocha the morning I was there. Service - two of the 3 baristas working that day were just pissed off for God knows what reason and lots of attitude. Not a great first time experience. Food/Coffee - Camp Coffee made me an espresso that quite literally tasted like the ashes of a campfire pit. Might as well have been smoking a cigarette. Ambiance - It's a vibe, but unfortunately a vibe without a tribe ain't it. read more

Approximately one year later and this place still is top notch. Anytime we're in Oside, this is our spot. My family and I love this place and their staff. They are always very kind and helpful. Camp Coffee - Marshmallows for the coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Oceanside, California

See all

It was our first time coming here before exploring downtown Oceanside and the pier and it won't be our last. We ordered a Tribute latte (vanilla and orange syrup), their seasonal molasses vanilla latte and CAMP mocha (which is s'mores inspired with freshly torched marshmallows on top. They were all delicious! They offered milk alternatives (our fave is oat milk) a little pricey for $1 sub but everything else is averagely is not below average price. We ordered a grilled cheese which have different kinds of cheese in it and was so delicious and melt-y! We had the option of adding prosciutto for a couple dollars more but didn't. They had yummy toast options too for a fair price and their baked goods looked really good, vegan options available. The drinks and food were good but what really stood out was the staff. The staff working Saturday late morning (2/13/21) couldn't have been nicer! From the time we ordered our drinks, we waited inside and just watched the staff be beyond friendly to everybody and also really worked together to help each other out. One person made the sandwich, one person made the drinks, another torched the marshmallow so it would be ready to go, another noticed customers looking at coffee beans and asked if they needed any help in deciding and offered soo much insight into the complex world of coffee. They worked so well as a team, it was really nice to see. Parking was easy right outside and another structure across the street. Cute little patio right outside and seemed safe inside with social distancing markers and everybody wearing masks! read more

Great baristas, a regular round-Robin of morning teamwork, training and support, alongside owner Jason, a humble yet very experienced coffee and service aficionado. Each drink was consistent between team members (rare, but excellent training). The place has not only good customer service and pandemic protocols, but a great group of considerate customers (not just the usual beach-town-partners). Give 'em a try! read more

Absolutely loved getting coffee here. The line was long but worth it. My s'mores latte was positively heavenly and I would absolutely order it again! Located across from dominos pizza. Decor was cute, small inside space with a few tables. Disappointed by the service, walked in and everyone was busy chatting. Waited at the register and after a few minutes was told to wait and someone would help. I guess only one out of the three employees can take/make drinks? Had to wait a few minutes more before I could place an order, no one else in line. If I hadn't driven so far out of the way to stop by I probably would have left as I felt I was interrupting them. Drinks were ready pretty quick at least once they let me place my order after they finished their discussion. Another guest walked in while I was waiting and was showered with welcome/how are you etc....and they took their order immediately. Ordered their signatures: Tribute: good citrus flavor, the better of the two drinks. I think Holsem in North Park does a better orange latte. Ceremony: was okay. I think it needed a quick stir as everything settled to the bottom. Street parking only, close to the beach/lots of businesses so difficult to find free parking, lots of paid lots nearby. Reverse parking spots in front. I would give it four stars for the drinks and three for service. If you've never had a citrus latte before, definitely get their Tribute as it's a very unique flavor and worth trying. read more

This place has a prolific 5 star rating so I feel like I have to explain myself. First off, i ordered for my wife and i the camp mocha and the molasses vanilla latte. The drinks were good. A solid 4/5 with well balanced, not overly sweet drinks. Now, i don't know if it was an off day, but having to wait almost 30 minutes, while also watching people order after me and get their drinks isn't the most positive experience. I'll chalk it up to just a process anomaly but just thought I'd mention my experience if anyone is looking for a quick grab and go. read more
