Cute little trendy coffee shop. The coffee was beautiful and delicious, the pop tart wasn't overly sweet, and had the perfect amount of filling, but the service was subpar. Won't go out of my way to come back. read more

Coffee didn't taste like espresso. I was drinking basically warm oat milk and water . And it wasn't even good oat milk.

Stopped in on our way to La Jolla today. I ordered the Tribute Latte and a grilled cheese, my friend ordered the seasonal molasses latte special. My tribute latte was amazing! Smelled strongly of orange, but the actual flavors were very subtle. The grilled cheese was golden-toasted perfection. My friend said the molasses latte tasted like Christmas cookies her grandma used to make. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere was nice. Definitely a 5/5 experience! read more

I took a weekend trip to Oceanside and stopped by here for a breakfast pit stop. There's limited street parking out in front, but worth the trip. I ordered the Camp Mocha and the added marshmallow was the cherry on the top. Quality of the coffee was great and the service friendly. They have a few tables and chairs to sit inside and they also have some merch that is worth looking at (I picked up a shirt for myself as a souvenir). read more

Oh yeah! The hype is well deserved. I was meeting with a friend of mine this morning and she suggested we meet at Camp Coffee Company, where she is a regular. I live in South O so I don't make it downtown too often, but I'll never pass up the opportunity to try an independent coffee shop! I arrived first and while browsing the menu was offered suggestions and guidance by the two friendly gents behind the counter. Five stars for customer service alone - they were both witty and knowledgeable, and it was truly a pleasure learning about the build of their different beverages and what makes each special. The Tribute is at the top of the menu and for good reason! "Orange" caught my eye, followed by "vanilla," and I was thinking, "creamsicle?" unsure of whether I was setting myself up to be smacked in the face with fake, sugary junk laced with caffeine. Thankfully, I was totally wrong. The "orange" is orange baker's oil which they spritz on the inside of the cup and activate with the espresso shots (I hope I'm re-telling this correctly...), and the "vanilla" is made-in-house with vanilla bean. Talk about a majorly pleasant surprise; no artificial sweeteners here! I got the iced version of The Tribute ($5 - I believe the espresso is swapped out for cold brew when you get it iced), and opted for oat milk (+$1) The price point is a little steep for me to make it an everyday thing but I have been to most of the local independent coffee shops in the area and can attest to the superior craft of Camp's coffees. So many places draw you in with a promise of a caffeinated tincture with lavender essences, honeycomb harvested from their backyard beehive, spices shipped over from the Far East... only to pay top dollar for a watered-down mess. More often than not, I find myself feeling robbed of my $6 or $7 as I sulk into my watery "coffee" milk. There's a coffee shop in another part of town that I've been wasting my money at lately purely out of convenience, but now that I've been introduced to Camp Coffee Company, no longer! On my next visit, I will probably try their cold brew because I typically opt for a black coffee when I'm not feeling fancy, plus I love to test out the untouched base of any coffee shop's espresso drinks. If you're looking for a quality coffee in the heart of Oceanside, look no further than Camp Coffee Company. Five stars - I can't wait to go back and try everything else! read more

My family regularly goes to Oceanside and we stay at seabird which in a block away. Camp coffee is very walkable and I usually go 1-2 times a day when we're there. Camp coffee has unique flavors and it's very delicious coffee. Meanwhile coffee is delicious, I don't ever feel very welcomed here. I would say they can be friendly but it seems like they are only friendly to certain people. I will still be a returning customer but will feel unwelcome here. read more

Absolutely worth it. I wish I lived closer, this is one of the best coffee shops I've been to. The special drinks at the top all sounded so delicious. My favorite part is that oat milk is the way it comes and not an extra charge. I would go here just for that. But on top of that the latte was delicious and I love the honey foam at the top. Very unique flavors like cardamon and orange, which I absolutely love. Novelty and creativity is so important and goes above and beyond normal coffee!! My partner got the tea special (hibiscus and orange I think?) and it was equally as refreshing and tasty. Whenever I go to new coffee shops this is the bar of greatness. Thank you!! Service was friendly and helpful as well. read more

Super friendly and super clean place to have uniquely delicious coffee and tea. We stumbled upon this place while walking downtown Oceanside. What a find. The baristas were very helpful and our orders came quickly. My husband and I decided to sit inside instead of take it to go. What a treat to savor our caffeinated drinks and just chat for an hour. We were never bothered and we thoroughly enjoyed our time spent there. This is so worth the visit. I highly recommend this place. Less crowded than Starbucks but just as tasty and pleasant to spend time in. read more

We come here every time we stay at the Marriott. It's a close and quick walk. We always get the nitro and the iced herbal teas. The hibiscus mint iced tea is my fav and I've tried to remake it at home, which I can't lol. But it's so good! Their cold brew nitro is also delicious! We love this place! read more

Oh what a find this place was! The wife and I were killing time one Friday morning, and found this place while sauntering about downtown Oceanside. We were going to walk to the beach, but the inside was welcoming enough to inspire us to stay. Typically I order something basic such as a Chai Latte, but the menu inspired me to break out of my doldrums and try something exciting. In this case that turned out to be a Tribute Latte, which is simply Orange Oil with House-made Vanilla Bean Syrup. Whatevs, it worked! While there we were entertained by somebody washing the windows. After he had completed he had a cordial discussion with whoever was managing at the time. Always a good sign when a place of food or drink has a good convo with its vendors. So, while in Oceanside, stop here. It'll be worth it. read more

Cool concept for a coffee shop! Really enjoyed the Molasses Vanilla Cinnamon Latte w/ oat milk. It was not overly sweet which I appreciate, and had the perfect balance of flavor and still had that strong espresso taste. My husband got the Cold Brew which he said was great. I don't know if because it was 7:30am but all the girls who were working there had terrible attitudes and awful costumer service. Right when you walk in, you could feel the bad vibes. Lol It's like they're forced to work there and be rude to costumers. To top it off, my coffee was so powdery. I tossed it in the trash. Total disappointment. read more

The atmosphere was a little weird, the service was fast, but the drink tasted very bitter. Wouldn't really recommend to any but only try it if you like the flavor of coffee and no sweetness. The employees were okay, didn't feel very welcomed. They were kinda mingling among themselves the whole time, never got a greeting or "what can i get you", just kinda had to take initiative to start saying my order. The drink I tried was a s'mores latte, tasted nothing like s'mores (just bitter vanilla). read more

I was not having the greatest day today. Every plan I had made had somehow turned out bad. My bf and I decided to head over to a nearby coffee shop. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with the most genuine greeting. The woman working recommended a few drinks and made some customizations to mine (I'm vegan). Her attitude & overall energy was amazing. She immediately brightened up my day. And the coffee was AMAZING. I left this location a happy girl. I will definitely be back and recommend that everyone visits. Thank you! Parking: Street parking Please wear a mask And yes, they have restrooms for customers. read more

We walked down to Camp Coffee when our go-to coffee spot was closed. They welcomed us in as if we've been long time guests. The customer service is SUPER sweet which is pretty rare for a lot of these newer hipster type coffee shops. They also carry non dairy milks including Oat (my fav!) but they do charge $1 for it which is a bummer but that won't stop us returning. They also carry Hazel & Jade's baked goods!! You won't be disappointed!! Their Mocha doesn't contain dairy and they also have toast and V butter for their other PB options. We haven't enjoyed our coffee's in house yet but it seems to be a chill and popular spot. They have straw-less lids which is cool but bringing in your own to-go cups is even cooler! ;) They open early at 6am and close as late as 6pm which is a great option for us! We don't visit often but it is always a solid choice when we do! read more

You must come here and drink coffee!! Okay first the atmosphere is adorable with a Camping theme. Second, the people are the best!! They are so friendly and kind and just good humans! Next, why you're here. Coffee! So good! They know what they're doing. They use bird rock beans and sell them as well. I enjoy a good latte with an add shot so my fave is the Tribute with almond milk. An orange oil, vanilla bean yum. The Camp Mocha is classic, topped with roasted marshmallows so you can feel like your away for a moment even if you need to get back to real life.
