The technicians make sure you are comfortable and are welcoming. I've been here several times before and had great service. This time was different. My mom and I made appointments for pedicures and SNS manicures. They started my moms pedicure immediately. After sitting with my feet in the water for 20-30 minutes, they were going to start service on a walk in that came in just then. I asked about my service, they shuffled and hesitated, and then thankfully started my pedicure. Guess they forgot about me and that I had an appointment. My mom and I weirdly finished our pedicures at the same time, even though mine was started 30 minutes after her. Then they took her for her SNS manicure. Again I waited in the pedicure chair for another 15-20 minutes before someone even started to remove my existing SNS. Thennnnnn...I sat there with the removing solution and foil on my fingers for another 30 minutes, as I saw 2 additional walk ins get treatments before me. I really got discouraged with another walk in came in, asked to have a pedicure and manicure at the same time, and they started treatment for her immediately. Two plus hours later after my appointment time, I asked them to take off the foil from my nails. They did but made it seem like a huge convenience. Not once, did they apologize. Kenzie's! YASSSSSSS! While on the hunt for a new nail tech, I think yelp serves me well by their reviews about Kenzie's. No bashing here but my previous tech, I'd given her enough chances. I was ready to move on. I found this place and let me tell you, Tina and Lexi were THE BOMB (do people still say this?‍) From the moment I entered, Lexi greeted me and let me know that I'd have a 15-20 min wait. And I didn't wait any longer than that. She got me at a table immediately, started soaking my gel off. Thereafter, she got me in the massage chair to do my feet and Tina got to work on my hands. Such a great tag team. Once my feet were finished, Tina got me back to the table and finished my hands. I asked her for the SNS powder. I was afraid because previously, done elsewhere, it was too thick. Welp, Tina hooked me right up! It was perfect! I love everything about them. And let's talk about the ambience of this place....very clean and relaxing. Environment is everything for me and so I appreciate how nice this salon looks. The shop gives you a comfort feeling and they're located right in the plaza. I've always had good experiences here, but the past few times I've gone the man shaping my nails has cut me several times with the nail shaping tool. I'm pretty understanding if it happens once or twice, but it happened on almost every nail... I walked away with small cuts all over my fingers to where it hurt to wash my hands :( but if you're not getting acrylic nails then I think this is a MUST stop! Worst pedicure experience I've ever had. The lady was rude and would constantly nag at me and make me feel unwelcome. I did a higher priced pedicure as well and she didn't do a massage. She kept poking into my skin and was not in the slightest bit gentle. She skipped things promised in the package and just gave an overall bad vibe. This place is great! I came across a lady with the most fab nails. I asked where she went and she told me about Tiger at Kenzies nails. I HAD to try him out! Walking in is very welcoming. Tiger himself always greets guests at the door. The place is clean. Brand new pedicure chairs. Offer you a water when you come in. I've never had a pedi there but my boyfriend comes with me and gets one. Every time he's done he looks like he just got a really good BJ or something. He goes to whoever is available and has no complaints about any of them. His toes are clean and that's good. I get my nails done by the most fabulous Tiger! This is a man of many trades. He greets costumers, does nails, answers the phone, and books clients. I'm super picky and most of the time after I get my nails done, I go home and reshape them. Not with Tiger! Not sure why setting an appointment is hard for them but I'm here for a short time with my mom for my birthday and I waited almost an hour for my pedicure (that I had an appointment already made for) no apology or anything. Then she has me look at pedicures and I choose an upgraded one (32 dollars) and tells me I have to pay 7 more dollars if I want my calluses to get taken off?! First time in the area I guess but in Seattle where things are REALLY pricey as well I pay 25 dollars and STILL get my calluses removed. Was getting frustrated with ME and kept slapping my feet to get them to stop moving. Had high hopes for here with other reviews but sad I had such a crummy experience. Visiting from out of town, I did a pedi one day and came back the next for a dip French manicure. Both were FAR SUPERIOR to the excellent nail techs I use at home. The pedi did careful callous removal and nice massage, in addition to perfect gel shellac! But the prize......goes to the guy who did my French dip manicure. Booked an appointment on the 16th, literally days after the virus closing was lifted. Was told I needed to wear a mask and they were spacing chairs. There was a sign about masks upon entering, and also they would be taking temperatures which they were not. There were three people in the salon not wearing masks including the manager! I asked and two of people said they didn't have them so finally one of the manicurists provided them. To add insult one of the patrons conducted a very noisy FaceTime call for 30 minutes.
