Not sure why this Ken's Nail salon just changed it's name to Kenzie's but I stopped in today for the first time in a while. I'm a little hesitant to write about Lien as I'm sure it's already hard enough to get an appointment with her. She was amazing; friendly, as talkative as I wanted, gentle, informative, etc. She suggested buffing my nails after my manicure which I know is more work but they look fantastic. And she definitely did her job in the upselling category as I dropped $70 for the mani-pedi. That's definitely outside my typical range but it included parafin, sugar scrub, callous remover, etc - the works. At any rate, I will return but with an appointment with Lien. read more

I haven't had my nails done in FOREVER. I would just put on press on's. It's been a few days since I went in with one of my BFF's and I was super skeptical. Literally for no reason other than I have trust issues. Their shop is very beautiful & clean. They were very sweet, nice, & professional. I took FOREVER picking out a color and they were so patient. I think Jenny did my nails and they're so beautiful! She did an AMAZING job. At other nail shops, they always mess up the shape or thickness but Jenny did an amazing shop. I have been going here for about a year! Love this place. Their nails last! I can go 4-5 weeks in between fills. They take their time with shaping the nails and they always look great! They never lift from the back like a lot of other places! Never have issues with their nails! Can usually get in pretty quickly if I call ahead or book a same day appointment! I can't believe the experience I just had at this place. The lady was mad at me for changing my mind to not do gel. I let her know before she touched my nails so i'm not sure why she was so upset? She gave me nasty looks and started to pretend to do my nails...yes, PRETEND! I was in shock seeing her place one hand over my toes and the other pretending to use the tool on my foot? I literally didn't know what to do i was so uncomfortable. I'm a very anxious person so I just sat there and let her treat me this way (I know i should have just left right when i realized what she was doing). She was finally about to paint them after pretending to do the cleaning process. I finally just requested that she please file them then she hand me the file to do it myself.!!' At that point I was so uncomfortable I just got myself out the seat and said never mind and put my shoes on. The manger still charged me for the pedicure and said she was confused and thought i wanted to my nails!! WHAT?? Why would I pay someone so I could do my own nails? Even after showing him my toes he didn't believe me that she hadn't filed, cleaned the cuticle she was just poking me with the tools! Once the manager came she started acting nice ?! I felt soooo uncomfortable I just paid and left I can't believe they are okay with treating people like that. Last Sunday, my fiancé and I walked in for pedicures for each of us. Funnily enough, the girl at the front asked if my fiancé wanted polish - she said she wasn't going to judge, lol. It was his first time and he really enjoyed himself. I've had some places that can be a bit careless and don't take time to do a good job, but both of the girls who worked with us were gentle and did a wonderful job. My only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars was that the polish they tell you to pick from is obviously over-used, some of which should at least be thrown out since it is separating. Super rude and inconsiderate. Each time I would make an appointment, I would still have to wait 30 minutes. The last time I went, I brought my mom and aunt for my aunts birthday. I was so pleased with the results of my spa Mani/Pedi. The people there were kind, punctual and provided a flawless service. I had rough skin on my feet and it was removed without a problem. Updating my review based on my last experience. Wasn't greeted at all when I came in, waited a long time . It's fine, it was a Sunday and I didnt have an appointment. When I sat down, my nail tech used an old file and grabbed her tools from a tray on her work station. I didn't know if they had been disinfected. My nails came out good but I'm just hoping not to get a fungal Infection. Also couldn't help but notice the nail tech next to mine was super rude to her client. The client asked for thinner acrylics and was told no, even though she said the last time she came in, the nails were way thinner. With another client, the same rude nail tech straight up told the client no to her request for a design. She didn't even offer to find someone else who can do the design or anything. read more

However, I had to give them 3 stars due to the amount of times my nail technician cut my skin. I have multiple cuts and some were bleeding. My girlfriend made an appointment for both of us to get SNS ...my nails were bare there was no need to rush. She also didn't like the color I chose. I had to talk HER into the color I chose. My nails were crooked and fat and crusty. My girl friends nails took 45 min. Mine took 15. Do you see the problem, I urge you to zoom in on my pictures there are finger prints all over my nails.
