We had been looking for a hot tub for the past 6 months. We searched all over Orange, Riverside, and Northern San Diego counties by visiting every showroom. We even went back to several locations multiple times. Cal West was a dealer we kept going back to. Not only is Jacuzzi a top brand, we kept going back because Jordan and Paul would always answer our questions. Other places kept trying to push the high dollar units with all the bells and whistles. At Cal West, we were educated about all Jacuzzi levels and what the features were, how each had to be maintained, and price points. They let us choose what worked best for us. This was important since it was our first time buying one. Once we had our concrete slab in and HOA approval, we were ready to pull the trigger. Unfortunately for us, this crazy pandemic hit. No more hot tubs - anywhere! Two week lead times turned into 3 months. Knowing that we wanted a hot tub, Jordan was able to find us one. Purchased and delivered within weeks. The delivery and set-up went smooth. They placed it right where we wanted and clean-up afterwards. We had our electrician complete the set up a few days later. What stood out to me was that Paul made himself available to walk me through the initial chemical process via FaceTime when the store was closed. Who else would do that - Not many, if any! So far, Cal West is top notch! Ok so I was having a really tough time finding a built in bbq to replace my very used and very old bbq that I could no longer find parts for. We absolutely LOVE our Jacuzzi that we bought from Cal West -- and the entire process of buying it was such a breeze! We needed a concrete slab poured as well as the electrical done in order for us to be able to buy the Jacuzzi. Cal West took care of all of it! Jose was TERRIFIC to work with--prior to knowing that Cal West took care of everything, we had multiple electricians out to give us a quote. ALL of them told us that in order to dig the trench through my yard, they would have to break my sprinklers and it would be my responsibility to fix them. Not Jose! He told me that *if* he were to break a sprinkler, he would fix it free of charge -- which he didn't even end up needing to do. We honestly thought that we would be left with a dirt trail through the yard where we would need to lay sod, but Jose dug everything up in such a way that he just laid the grass back down and you honestly can't tell that there was even a trench dug -- we were BLOWN AWAY! Then it was time to pour the concrete. On the way over to my house, the concrete truck was rear-ended and ended up being totaled -- which of course set our appointment back a few days. To ensure that we were still able to have the concrete poured before the weekend and stay on schedule, Paul ended up contracting out with another concrete company so that we would still be guaranteed our Monday delivery. The concrete guys were great and our slab looked great (the only complaint that I would have about them is that they hosed their wheel barrow off and dumped the dirty water in my grass--which ended up drying with a large, thin layer of concrete right on top of my grass. Not a huge deal --we can just dig it up and lay sod--however, that complaint said, keep in mind that this is not their usual concrete guys they use). Delivery: We were so excited for our delivery day (as we've wanted a Jacuzzi since we bought the house 3 years ago!). The delivery went so smoothly and Raul did a great job explaining how everything worked and what I needed to do to keep it clean. We've had a few questions since our delivery and they are SO helpful -- we even brought in a water sample to the store and they were able to tell us exactly what we needed to keep the water clear. The entire team at Cal West is amazing and we are SO happy that we bought from them. We didn't realize that the store/customer relationship went past the purchase and delivery, but it absolutely does. Whenever we need chemicals, we will only by them from there because they will know exactly what we need. Wow, db c. was treated MUCH different than my family. I would be angry as well had that happened, but we had a GREAT experience. We stopped by learn about Spas and Paul was the guy! He walked us through the entire line of spas and explained the difference between companies (never talked negative about other brands). He took his time, answered all questions and let us walk out the door without ANY PRESSURE! I called him back for more Q&A and he was great. We thought we would stop back in to look one more time before we decided (between Jacuzzi and Hot Springs). His son was working and he admitted right away that he didn't know as much as his dad...but still handled our questions. He made a good package deal and we bought it. They did our electrical work and did a GREAT JOB! They installed the tub and filled it...ready to use! Here is the kicker...the install guy tells me that they didn't have an Ozinator which was supposed to be included and that he would come back and install it when it came in. I would NEVER had known it wasn't installed so this guy was totally honest! They did install it and we have LOVED this tub. Great place to buy a spa! read more

Let me start off by saying I bought a spa and felt I received a fair price and the delivery was good........but as far as any type of follow up call or hey how is it going.............NOTHING....... POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. So I was running low on the chemicals I stopped by Cal - West. What a mistake. There was a young kid on his cell phone.....I felt like I was intruding. Well he hung up and I was asking about what to use and some new product I had heard about.......he was CLUELESS......... Then I was telling him about the lack of customer service........I told him all Cal West was out to do was move a spa. Then he wanted to know how I liked the spa......are you kidding.......WHAT DID IT MATTER at this point. Like I mentioned if you want a fair deal but don't care about any type of customer service, visit them and buy one. We drove 45 minutes to your store to look at fireplace mantels, that we were told, after calling, were on display. When we arrived we were greeted by a young man with shoulder length dark hair and dark rimmed glasses (did not get his name). We were not treated well. When asking to see the actual mantel color from one in stock, we were told that he would not open a box because he would not be able to resell it. What? He told us we would need to purchase it first. I have never heard of such a thing. We wanted to see the color first. He asked if we would purchase merchandise that had been opened at which time I said I would if the item was in good condition, he told me I would not. If this is the type of people that you have working for you I am surprised you are still in business. This young man was very condescending. We will never be back. read more

My son-in-law bought a gas fireplace. He and my daughter brought the brochures home and we decided the ones we preferred by amount and look of logs, especially the bottom log which looked like it had realistically been burned. My son-in-law spent hours putting the set together and discovered that the bottom log was missing. He called Cal-West Resort Living and told the sales associate who had sold it to him that the log was missing. The associate said that he had told him that the set would be smaller and that he wasn't making any money on the sale and that he had spent a lot of time showing him the fireplaces. My son-in-law went into the store and insisted that he be given the log of the set that he had been shown in the store. They finally called the owner and he agreed. What would have happened to a less assertive person? It was a very upsetting experience. read more

Well Im glad to know that my review may have helped a young man learn what a good salesperson is all about, he wasn't the day I came in. Ive bumped my review up one star because I feel that maybe they got it! Here is what you need to know about buying a spa. FIRST make sure you know how to use a Taylor kit, I use chlorine so I use a taylor 2006 kit. Its that blue kit you see on the back of ALL pool guys trucks, really you will need one..they have one for bromine also, so don't just go out and buy one. The problem is that if you are looking to buy a spa you need to wet test it..otherwise your are buying a car without a test drive! Well would you put your backside into a pool of water that you don't know the condition of, I DONT, You may get the itches if you do. read more

I recently just purchased a jacuzzi from Cal West and had a great experience. I don't normal spend the time to review anything, but since it was such a large purchase and knowing the ecomony and competitive for these guys I thought I let everyone know these guys are great. The wife and I spent many days researching and going back and forth from one dealer to the next (especially Valley Hot Springs off Madison) and decided to go with jacuzzi and Cal West. We dealt with Paul the entire time. He didn't pressure us, stayed extra late one night so I could show my wife the spa after work, he had it filled with water and setup so we could wet test it and was extremely accomodating. Never did he put the pressure on us...it was a great shopping experience. He is the owner, gave us a great price and was very knowledgable. The Jacuzzi brand to me just far exceed all of our expectations. We didn't find anything that was a real apples to apples comparison to their J-400 line (which we went with). Its a spa that offers the best in comfort, reliability, entertainment (audio system) and lighting. It's by far the best looking and performing spa we've ever looked at. In the end the decision was easy...we wanted the Jacuzzi. Purchase was made, install date was set for 2 days later. Jose came out the next day to inspect the installation point, electrical and made sure everything was ready for the delivery. Jose and son were onsite the next day, they were on time, made quick work of it, were extremely patient and gentle with the spa and made it look easy. They even did the last minute electrical work for me and made it look extremely professional. They were great! They both stayed while it filled up, cleaned up the insde of the spa and showed me how to use the chemicals. It was a perfect installation...nothing could have been done better in my opinion. I've only had the spa for a few days, but so far I want to recommend Cal West, Paul and his entire team. They resond right away to any calls and questions. read more
